Wow what an amazing vegan friendly menu at the first restaurant! I love how Japanese restaurants always serve a million different small dishes together, always so well balanced with flavors. The Indian food looks fantastic as well. 😋
Incidentally there are so many good Indian restaurants in Kyoto, we ate at New Delhi near Senbom Marutamachi, the cook is rare, that good chole bhatures you can only get in actual Delhi, India. Also Ganesha if i remember correctly near Kinkakuji was amazing too.
It's amazing. I've also had a meal once in the restaurant of one Chinese temple. The experience is some kind quite different from the normal meal ones. Great footage of Kyoto view!

I've lived in Indian and cooked Indian food for over 35 years just one or two corrections saag is not spinach the proper word is palak. Saag is generic for anything green and leafy where as palak is specifically spinach.. The UK, second largest Indian eating nation outside India, get this wrong to but that's a whole different story.. भारतीय लोग भारतीय भोजन :-)

お食事の説明よろしいですか？と聞かれて、はい！と答えているにも関わらず、シャッター音ならして説明を中断させたところが気になりましたが、その後は、説明をキチンと聞かれていたのでホッとしました。ちょっとした気遣いって大切ですよね。ホントに美味しそうな料理ばかりで食べたくなりました。

天龍寺篩月さんで精進料理を戴いたことがありますが、そちらも手の込んだお料理で、見た目もお味もとても美味しかったですよ。
東林院さんでは、お坊様が精進料理のお料理教室をされいるので、食するだけでなくお料理も覚えて帰れるので、そちらもお勧めです。
南禅寺や永観堂などおすすめです。紅葉シーズンが特におすすめです。
