Lugano Paradiso: history, landscapes and surroundings
After passing the dam bridge of Melide, travelers by train meet a small station, which precedes the most important one in Lugano: Lugano Paradiso .
This little corner of peace, a few kilometers away from the busier city of Lugano, presents itself to the traveler as a jewel overlooking the lake. Paradiso , known as Calprino until 1929, is a separate municipality in the Lugano hinterland. It has about four thousand inhabitants and is located at the foot of Monte San Salvatore overlooking Lake Lugano.
Paradiso is, to all intents and purposes, a city that offers tranquility and relaxation , but without forgetting a pinch of elegance and charm, also given by nearby Lugano.Lugano Paradiso.
