MOVING OUT OF YALE (and then moving back in again!) | college vlog

- happy sunday! ☀️ I had to move across campus to a different college at Yale, because I'm one of few students staying on campus over Thanksgiving/winter break. I moved everything by myself and it was pretty tiring!! I hope you enjoy this vlog of me packing, moving, and then not really unpacking much because we all know I am the master procrastinator!
also, soooo many people hav been DM-ing me asking if I'm moving back to my old room after winter break. the answer is no! I have to move to a different dorm room on old campus ☺️ and lots of people keep DM-ing me asking when I'm going to upload a new video (please be polite when you ask this!!). I upload every Sunday morning in Australia, which is Saturday night in the US. some weeks, there will be bonus videos. these are just uploaded randomly when I have time, and they are in addition to my weekly Sunday uploads. I really wish I could upload more but I'm also a full-time college student and an athlete and there just aren't enough hours in the day. I also have final exams coming up in the next two weeks so I'm very busy at the moment. however, after finals I will have 5-6 weeks of no college and I will be uploading lots of videos every week during this period (end of December and the whole of January). so if you have any video suggestions, please let me know in the comments!! keep smiling xx

I have had many college dingles! If you have another dingle or want to work on this one make the two desks into an L in the corner and you can use the desk to step on and off the bed

My friend had one bed as high as possible and the other one as low as possible! The high one she used as a bed (duh) and the low one she used as a couch!

Fridges and microwaves aren’t provided by Yale. Students buy them individually or coordinate and share with suitemates. You can also rent it through an agency associated with the school, but it’s still up to the student to obtain one.

How important is our transcript, like I didn’t do so well in year 10 but did like great in my vce subjects in year 11 and hopefully also in year 12 next year.
I'm honestly not sure, I'm not an expert in this area. I would think that year 11/12 results are more important than your year 10 ones. and there are also SO many other aspects to your application - SAT scores, personal essays, extracurriculars, etc. so your transcript as a whole is only one part of your application, so it's not make or break
@@TiaChitty thank u so much for writing back, I have been watching people on CZcams talk about their stats and grades and just been continuously doubting my decisions of thinking I could even apply let alone compete.
@@viviannedavis5371 omg no!! if you’re at all interested in studying in the US, please apply! the colleges look at SO much more than just your grades, especially your year 10 grades - they probably hardly take them into account! don’t let that stop you from applying, you’ve got this!! x

How long is your winter break?
it's normally ~3 weeks, but this year because of the pandemic it is ~6 weeks!
Put all your boxes and suitcases etc in the cupboard you don't need to open.

I dont understand why young people need to move out during a pandemic schools are remote, work is remote. learn to care for your parents and adjust at home better use of your time. when your parents are no more u will regret
