Girl has a solid 3.99 GPA we all know it

If her GPA is between a 3 and a 4 while going to Columbia and working two jobs, she’s doing an amazing job!
Not rly
@@fatinahmed5406stfu u couldn’t even get into Columbia if you tried. Girl has 2 majors, works and teaches Pilates with probably a 3.5 gpa IN AN IVY LEAGUE SCHOOL
She looks so sleep deprived.
just your avg med or engineering student
@@k1n1ami18 I agree!
@@k1n1ami18 exaggeration had a face.
@@k1n1ami18 that's what happens when you waste time on teaching pilates i guess?
Her niples r not sleep deprived at all
Shes a neuroscience major but doesnt sleep :(
It’s 8 years of grinding
All she needs is sleep
The pressure in this day and age is so fucking crazy
Being a premed does that to you. Super competitive and if you don’t have extra curricular activities, we’ll don’t bother :(
she needs to stop wasting time on unnecessary activities, what are you even talking about as if you know something, you are not even self aware :D
@@ademerdem1252 like you know if she's wasting time in unnecessary activities. You yourself aren't self aware about shit
@467076 yep and if you do everything but just fall just the slightest bit short and don't get in, you are on the street jobless with a worthless biology degree. It is SUPER high pressure for someone from the true middle class or lower class. End up failing by just the slightest amount and on the street basically...
@@ademerdem1252what are you talking about? nothing she said is a waste of time shut your mouth.
I love university bc I actually sleep 8 hours, unlike high school where I was sleep deprived bc I had to wake up at 6 ever day, along with teenagers being wired to stay up later. It’s not worth sleep depriving yourself in college
I think you have an unintellectual brokie 'mindset'
Its the opposite for me 😭
You're either in an easy major or you're a genius.

Don’t miss the premed life and as a medical student rn, i can say it doesn’t get any better! 🤪
That is very true.
I feel that, looking back I was dumb premed. Duning Krugger Effect is real, I feel like I know way less as a second year med student than I did as a premed.
I had so much free time as a premed looking back.
@@gowrishvaka6356 I definitely agree on the time part. I'm a third year. I feel like I've learned so much just this year alone than in my first two years simply because I get to use the knowledge real time. While the knowledge increases, the time keeps getting smaller and smaller :/
Wats your instagram @
The pressure to go to the best college you can and do some insane amount of work, sleep depriving yourself, etc all for a degree is absolutely ridiculous
Its totally worth it though
@@sandwichman6765that amount of work is only worth it for certain degrees
@@jamesstrader4063 yes I agree. If you’re someone who goes to college not really knowing why you want to be there, then it’s not worth it, but if you have a goal (like becoming a doctor for example) then it’s worth the work
@@willm678 but that's what premed is, it's pre-medical school
@@jamesrosewell9081 what? I don’t see how that’s relevant. I know what pre med is. I’m saying that if you want to pursue that requires a college degree (and I used medicine as an example), then college is worth it. If you don’t really know what you want to do or just feel pressured to go to college, then it’s not worth it.
Nah it’s so ironic studying neuroscience and getting a little bit of sleep. But that’s what research does to most of the people who do it anyways.
"today we're getting students to share their GPA." proceeds to not check beforehand if participant is willing to disclose GPA 😂 she probably thinks it's embarrassing to major in neuroscience, something it would seem only the brightest would choose, but then struggle and get Bs and Cs and barely have a 3.0. nothing to be ashamed about, happens to the best of 'em.
@@chloe4537 a 3.6 is still a good amount of Bs and Cs.. neurosurgeons are usually highly intelligent.
@@jasonwong2242 that's largely dependent on the school, professors, and course load. some UCs are notorious for grade deflation, most professors are really bad, and whether you double major or are premed, taking 20 units is stressful for anyone. it can be argued that most subjects, including physics, math, and ochem have a low level of intrinsic cognitive load, but made hard by extraneous cognitive load.
neuroscience is literally a bio degree with a few extra classes lol
You can tell she hasn’t slept well in a long time because her face looks so aged and I bet she’s like 21-22

Don't drink lots of coffee and get enough sleep.
Cause if people could get sleep they’ll willingly avoid it? Worst advice ever sry.
@rahileshanbi5551 people avoid sleep all the time by going out partying, staying up late and a number of other things. Additionally, too much caffeine makes you feel like crap with a large crash later on in the day. I'm sorry that you didn't like my advice but I still stand by it. Eat healthy, exercise, don't drink coffee, drink water and try your best to get enough sleep.
@@sweetpotatosista6214 Well, that won't be applicable to this pre-med student, who clearly spends her time for her studies and external activities.
I liked the part where she said what her GPA was
She makes two good points.

We're kind of similar who loves to drink coffee but not a fan of sleeping.

I’m not an instructor but I do Pilates but if I don’t get enough sleep I won’t even bother with Pilates bc the basics of health is to sleep good eat healthy! Yes work out but your priority should be sleep!
Why the lack of sleep torture by academic institution?,?,???

Can confirm as a bio major you don’t have time to sleep
You aaked one person and she didn't even disclose
You know how if you ask a guys height online you should subtract 2 inches and thats their real height? Same applies when asking a college student their GPA on camera- assume theyre telling you a number 0.1 or 0.2 higher than it really is

Hello! are you in med school now?
Do you know they study a lot when they keep a pencil in hand?

What's the study for Neuroscience if you don't do what you pretty know? Sleep, dear.
Learn this very important lesson now, young ones! The absolute best medicine is ethyl-alcohol containing beverages. Sometimes you have to put your textbooks aside and use your Goddamned brain. No wonder delicious-tasting ethanol-containing beverages are sold everywhere from drug stores to liquor stores, grocery stores, convenience trains, bars, clubs, pubs, taverns, nightclubs, planes, trains… You name it. Next step is getting it into the hospital. It would help the patients if they were prescribed a few beers and a hard seltzer and had a nurse bring it to them.
And that's what you call bad advice
Haha. Funny joke
Bro is an alcoholic for sure
I guess you have constantly a methanol intoxication if you need ethanol this urgently
That’s disgusting advice people should focus on their studies as they say life is not education, education is life
Okay now tell us , why should we know all these😴😴

Things you will NEVER be asked in a job interview: "what's your gpa"?
not unless you're pre-med
@levinivie8067 Do you know what they call the person graduating last in their med school class? "Doctor". No one cares what your GPA was in the real world. Ever.
Sure. But do you know what most research opportunities , internships, fellowships and other opportunities like that filter by … *GPA in conjunction with extracurricular activities*
And if you don’t get those types of opportunities *before* applying to a job …
American degrees are so confusing, like what is pre med track, is it not possible to just get a medical degree after school? Like everywhere
As far as I can understand, medical is school is done after undergrad, and mostly any major can apply to these medical schools , however they have to complete some prerequisites in undergrad hence many people just do majors that are most inline with fulfilling those prerequisites and also may look good on their application
Damn it must of been a bit nippy out 😂 👀
Yeah she is up all night. You can tell from the puffy eyes.
Anyone who works to get higher than a 3.3 is a fool, with the exception of the valedictorian
Med Schools care about your gpa.
