Edwin and Charles are best friends, ghosts… and the best detectives on the Mortal plane. They will do anything to stick together - including escaping evil witches, Hell and Death herself. Lukas Gage's career got a huge post when around the time of the pandemic, he was doing a Zoom audition from his apartment and the director, not realizing he hadn't muted his end of the call, started negatively critiquing Gage's New York apartment seen in the background! Gage was very affable about the whole thing and posted it on his social media account. It was probably the best thing that could have happened to Gage.

Lockwood and Co first was published in 2013... Sounds like your 'literal recreation' might actually be the original and your fave is the rip off... It's really important to know the facts.

this show has the added bonus of being apart of the The Sandman Universe. so it will have some grace and lockwood and co was probably canceled to make way for this..too similar

Because the version I watched was significantly different to what Dead Boy Detectives is gonna be.
Dead Boy Detectives is based off a Neil Gaiman series. This trailer really gives more Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency vibes if you're gonna be equating shows.

Lockwood and Co is actually the poor man’s version of Dead Boy Detectives.
It’s just Warner Bros had the DBD rights originally, so Netflix had to initially settle for the lesser story that was L&C.

The logos look nothing alike. If you want more content, you can read the rest of the books, at least.
