Hey man I’m just experiencing this pelvic fracture. I broke mines as well in 2 places that caused me to get screws and plates. It happened sept 24. It’s bin about a month and a week now. I just can’t wait to walk again. I’m doing a lot better since the accident. Lost some muscle memory in right foot so I have to do a bit of therapy to build that muscle again. I have a c section type cut across lower abdomen for them to put plates in. Wouldn’t wish this on no one. Good luck to you and have a speedy recovery man bless...
My friend got hit by a car on the way to school today. Her pelvis snapped in half. She has a graze on her back and wrist and a bump on the back of her head. She has crutches too. May God help her heal.
Sorry to hear man i cant imagine the pain. My Dad broke both of his pelvises at once when he wrecked his honda grom and he said it was very painful. but he had surgery and they put new ones in and he is racing now. Quick recovery brother
The drunken car driving hit me so it broke my left pelvic... One of the doctor told me that i may not able to give birth... But who knows their future... Now i can walk and run again,maybe if God allow me, with this such injury i can still carry a child if i got married lol... 😇😇 Stay healthy...and i hope you're ok now, but you will never forget that things happen in your life like mine haha
Hey brotha how are you doing now? I just broke my pelvic bone on 7/16/2022. Surgeons had to put in 3 metal plates to put my pelvis back together. They gave me a C-Section in order to do my surgery.😂 Doctors told me I have a high chance of making a full recovery in 3 months since I’m young (22 years old). It’s been 4 days in, I’m regaining some feeling in my foot but my big toe and some of the top of my toe is very numb. I can’t bend my foot upwards or move my leg side to side. I understand that it’s part of the recovery process but i’m still freaked out a little bit and trying to think positive. What happened was I was riding as a passenger on my cousins ATV at night with no helmet. We were riding behind a friend, last thing I remembered before I fell was seeing dust and not being able to see anything else ahead, then we fell down a 8-10 foot ditch and I landed on some big rocks. I just remember waking up on those rocks with my ass hurting sooo bad. Im lucky af I didn't damage my brain. My head feels 100% just broke my pelvis & ribs and collapsed my lung they are still in some pain.

Just got released from a hospital after having broken my pelvis in a cycling training accident. One long-ass plate, 12 or so screws and 1 1/2 weeks in hospital, good to be back home. It'll be 8 weeks until I can put any weight on my right leg. My OOPS? A brand new Shimano bicycle chain broke, was clipped into the pedals, down I went... Hope you get back too 100%, you and me both. -Feeling your pain.
@@theguy2040 Will be meeting with the orthopedic surgeon for the first time since the operation. Hip's nowhere near 'back to normal' but it's definitely been improving in terms of function. It's been about 8 weeks post surgery. Hoping to get rid of the walker I've been using and put full weight back on that leg. Did you break your pelvis?
@@Daluke61 yes man! I m on crutches now after 6 weeks on wheelchair, oh yeah you will be having xray and meet surgeon to make sure your healing is going well and the rings ans screew in same place.. Good luck man.. I had that, it was normal.. Now I hv last appointment in 28th after then I will be no crutches (hopefully) again good luck man...

Mine got fractured few days ago. I have a crack on the pelvis is what the doctor said. They kept in the hospital for 3 days and let me go home. But I was carried on a stretcher to my bed. Doctor says it will take 3 weeks of complete bed rest. It hurts a lot. Need a bed pan for urine. Can't sit up straight. Can't turn over. It's the most horrible bone that can fracture. I am crying 😭😭
@@baileyboy30 Can you guide me on how did you start moving your leg on the injured side? After how many days did you try to come out of bed ? Worst is having to use a bed pan. How soon could you walk to the restroom? I am sorry to bug you but I don't know who to ask. My doctor didn't give me too clear of a instruction.
It took me maybe a week before I could actually sit up and get in and out of bed by myself was still a struggle though. Try using crutches or a walker to get around once you able to get out of bed . I was on crutches for quite awhile before I could walk without them . Just take it one day at a time. You will be fine. The bone will heal alot faster than all the muscles around it, so you will be sore for awhile.
It all depends on the fractures. How many are there and where. I was in bed for a month, didn't move my body, only my legs a little bit. Wasn't sitting. So, I did what had to be done using a bedpan. My doctor told me I shouldn't move at all so the bones can properly heal. If you move early or disregard the instructions, bones can heal in the wrong way. It can cause chronical pain for the future. How are you both now? I'm sorry that I didn't come across this video earlier. There aren't many videos about a pelvic fracture on YT, it surprised me I must say. I started working a desk job last week and it has been four months after my accident. It hurts to sit 8hrs a day, but I still manage to do it without taking the pills. What about you?
How long did it take for your pelvis to heal? I'm currently helping my uncle who broke his pelvis 3 weeks ago. He's slowly starting to feel better, but we don't know when he can start to use his crutches.
Sorry to hear that hope he heals fast! My bone was healed after 7 or 8 weeks but felt alot of discomfort still with the muscles around the area. I started using my crutches after a couple weeks . I'd say whenever he feels up to it and it's not causing him pain

Hey bro, I'm from Indonesia. 2 weeks ago, I have an accident. I fall from my motorcycle and got my pelvic broke. This is the second week from accident and still rest in hospital bed. Wish me luck bro. Maybe do you have any recommendation what activity or meal to increase the healing process?

Derek Bailey thank you very much at first they decided not operate the I was re admitted for surgery then I had 2 more operations after the first for internal bleeding so I am frustrated now I am unable to ride I have try recently but was back in bed, I can’t wait to just ride every day

The worst part about a pelvis fracture is that it can cause internal bleeding which can also cause death.

My pelvis broke too but it takes only 1 month to heal because I'm still 17, it heals fast

i broke my pelvis yesterday and i can barely even limp in crutches 😐 they didn't even let me have a wheelchair
