You do know those are 2 heat vent on the front of the hood and the scoop is there to cool the turbo at the rear of the engine and are all 3 functional. As for air intake the is a ram air on the top right of the front grill not on the hood. She knows nothing about this car besides what the manual states bad review.
Terrific review - probably the best that I've seen of this car yet. I especially like how you highlighted the quality of the interior and all the other issues in a clear and concise way. Keep up the great work!
+Ian Hung is interior the most important for you? big misunderstanding of the car... every vehicle is designed for other purpose: lorry, bus, tank, bike, car, and rally car - they are completely different products, do not expect a tank to be luxury, do not expect a lorry to be fast, you should increase your knowledge before comment
Seems a USA decision, as they usually come with Recaro seats, strange decision. Most other places come with the Recaros, so you might as well point your finger to MMNA instead of Mitsubishi directly, as that is a region based issue. The price is fine for a car made in Japan. If you want a nicer interior, go buy some euro trash like a Golf R, but please don't whinge about the servicing cost, because they cannot compete against Japanese cars. I also find people who review interior always ignore taking into effect how durable the actual materials used are. Take for example a Subaru WRX (95-2000 - GC8). If you actually owned one, you will know the door trims get royally screwed to the point you need to replace them, whilst a CC Lancer is still perfect. I always read how the WRX had a 'nicer' interior, but that's rubbish if it cannot last more than 10 years. I feel this is the same for other vehicles out there that get reviewed, yet have no comments about durability. Also, the Lancer hasn't been updated for a while. They skipped a lancer generation, hence why this is the last generation. They are working on a new electric model to replace it. The company is focusing on a greener future and I have no issues with that, as it is the right direction and I look forward to an AWD Electric vehicle with maximum torque from 0 rpm. They are not going to do major overhauls for their Final Edition model. They will and have only done minor modifications. I think the interior is good enough for what you get, which is AWD, 2L Turbo, 4 Doors, Decent Boot Space, and a nice package overall which has ample room to easily increase power unlike other cars out there for the same price.
Nice quick and right to the point review. The US final edition is a joke! Those seats are the same ones on a standard lancer. I understand that the US regulations about side curtain airbags etc. but the new mustang has Recaro why can't this one?? Once was my dream when I young now that I'm old enough to finally afford one they go and ruin it. It's a shame Well there is always the focus rs, Audi s3, golf r, and maybe m2
+Turbo4Life1217 evo is a great piece of rally engineering, I will remind you that every vehicle is designed for other purpose: lorry, bus, tank, bike, car, and rally car - they are completely different products, do not expect a tank to be luxury, do not expect a lorry to be fast, do not expect a rally car to have beautiful interior
Still not driving a pricey car. I understand what you pay for is the power and performance. But still you at least need a nice interior as well. That is why I still like the evo 9
I used to think of this but realized that under pressure - I don't even pay attention to the interior details lol. Except the tachometer and speedometer.

Y a quien le importa el interior? Si el evolution se compra es por el performance no por el interior. Este carro es una leyenda mi amiga.

Lack of recaro seats due to new mandatory regulations regarding side impact airbags.
Can u tell me Toni what car u drive
totally agree!

You pay for handling and power of the car
Goodbye evo, you will not be missed. At all.
Lololol. Cash money.
Great review. The EVO once was a standout, but with all others stepping up their game and Mitsubishi doing nothing, the EVO is now just meh at best.
+Turbo4Life1217 Thanks!

try and review a Chevrolet SS sedan. such a great car!
preferably with a 6speed manual.

Why no recoro seats tho
+WRX William there is still recaros in canadian evos. I think its because of US airbag laws.
+Danny “Sarbs” Sarbiewski ..Thats what Ive heard. Its related to new regulations regarding side impact airbags, which are located in the seat.
+WRX William you can buy pink recaros aftermarket if you wish
+2016STIchannel 2015+ New laws regarding side curtain impact airbags. They must come standard on all cars by about 2018.
I'm guessing that's why America got the only Final Editions without them. That's just stupid.
No.
OMG NICE GIRL
Interior still shit
