Living alone in NYC - Bye bye winter depression đđŒđ„ł

- Hiiiii!! In this video, I bring you along for one whole week in my life in NYC, attempting to get it together & kick seasonal depression to the curb before the first day of Spring! đ„ł This is a verrryyy realistic week of errands, work, anxiety, time with friends, and just figuring it out day by day.
I was envisioning this to be a fun, lighthearted vlog to help keep me accountable and get me back in my creativity... but some real life things popped up and made it kind of heavy for a couple days. I feel like a wimp right now because I cocooned myself at home too much this winter. I'm so ready to build back my tolerance for handling the hard stuff.
Thanks for hanging out with me! đ€đ

Awww thank you so much Jayne! That means a lot đ
Happy Spring everyone! âšđž
Will u be doing Caminho this year?
@@danielcz5586 I REALLYYYY want to! đ Maybe later in the year, we'll see!
Lots of love from me to you đâ„đ»
Aww thank you@@nancycompagnie6500 !! đ€đđ
Great to have another insight into your world again.
London is very similar, so you are not alone. We all have these issues in big cities. Keep strong and be positive.
It was lovely to hear that Quintin stays in touch and I hope he and his mum have a wonderful camino.
It would be cool to have a vlog where everyone from your camino de Santiago dials in to you via an online reunion and gives you (and us) an update on where they are now, how they have been. There were some great people on that camino, itâd great to see them again. Getting together in person wouldnât be viable option due to distance and cost, but online would work. Just a thought for a video.
Also itâd be great to see how you got on with the Portuguese camino with your mum.
Be kind to you and positivity will follow
This is SUCH A GREAT IDEA!!! đ Iâm going to look into it as soon as I finish editing the Portuguese video! Iâm still in frequent communication with most of them, so I think it can happen đ€ Ahhh Iâm so excited about this, thank you!! đ„ł
Youâre welcome sweetheart. Thank you for another great video. Happy Spring time from this Londoner to you, my favourite New Yorker đ»đȘ»đžđŒđčđ

One trick is check how early sunset is in the far north once fall comes around. That's helped me a bit though I usually prefer to be close to home once it's dark in late fall. Don't force yourself to do things when you're not ready. Never hurts to pray for everybody or at least their families everyday. That's how I got my wallet back after only about 16 hrs.
Happy Spring Stefanieđž. Love the video
Aw yay thanks for watching! đ€đ
I so love ur videos. I finally caught up. Past few months have been a roller coaster for me. My daughter fell ill and I nearly lost her. Thank u Jesus for the full recovery she made. I played catch up on ur videos and wow. Ur life has been roller coaster too. Praying all is well with u. Did u get that slime fixed. â€â€â€â€â€â€â€â€â€â€
Stefanie, your voice is so musical and your videos are honest and so beautiful. I hope the Spring brings you love and joyâ€. I hope you share moređ ty
Aww Pam, that is SUCH a sweet thing to say, thank you so much!! đ„č
...so nice to just find your video now, Stefanie - oddly enough you popped into my mind the last few days, after months of not seeing anything, in fact the last video I remember was your Xmas one!
I love your style of filming, and giving us watchers an so honest peek into your daily joys and challenges... you're not alone, Stefanie, I believe that many of us can find ourselves in similar struggles... e.g. I was beating myself up a lot over the past winter months for not doing enough, worrying about money, and what it is that I actually do for living a meaningful life... I have currently about 1/2 dozen things that I push forward to the 'next day', instead of doing them right now... e.g. today I at least solved one of them, and decided to be okay with that achievement... sometimes its just one step at a time.
Your trip to Coney Island with your friend Stefanie looked like so much fun, and also the TV 'giggle' night before - your friends have certainly not 'abandoned ' you, and were so delighted to see you, and I was also so happy to hear, that Quentin was in touch, and walks the Camino Portuguese now with his mother - fab!! Exactly that camino has been lurking in my subconsciousness for a while now... I guess the time draws closer to me stuffing my toothbrush & towel in my bag, and hop on the plane to Porto!
I wish you so much that you can move more into 'progress' mode, but also bear in mind: always love yourself, just simply for who you are... achievements are useful and important, and so satisfying, but self-love should not depend on it! đ
Aww, thank you again for such a thoughtful comment and wise advice đ„Čđ«¶đŒ I hope you get to do the Portuguese soon! I'm editing my Portuguese video right now đ€

Property management is sooo crap everywhere. I know that doesnât make it better but youâre not alone. A while back I read the advice that you make your bed every morning that way you have completed something every day. Sending hugs from bcn
Hahah this is true! It seems like a lot of people have had similar experiences. Thank you Keith! đ€ Hope you're well!
@@StefanieHurtado doing great! The weather has been pretty amazing here the last couple weeks. Feels like itâs time for a long walk!
Hi Stephanie, hope all is well and curious if you are going to release your video about your Camino in Portugal. Loved the Walk Through Fire and hoping to see another video soon!
I know it's not easy taking care of life issues. One piece of advice is to get out of the city and move to the suburbs or even the country. Some place less hectic. Breath the air and feel the breeze. Remember the time you spent on the Camino and how it made you feel. Do that again.
Happy Spring!

Sometimes being self employed and on your own schedule means that itâs hard to to develop a routine. Have you considered taking a non-mentally taxing part time job until wedding season kicks off like working in a cafe or some such to get a bit more routine happening? That can be great for mood
I have your solution. It's a CAMINO xo. May I also make a suggestion. I have followed you thru your Camino Adventures as is why you popped up on my feed. I am a Funeral Director in Australia. We are using videographers and photograhers more and more these days for funerals. You also have the Visual Tribute side of things for Funerals. Look into it. There is a Market there.
Hahah this is exactly what I've been thinking!! I need a Camino asap đ„Č For now, the best I can do is edit my Portuguese video and live vicariously though my past self đ€
Btw that's a great idea, thank you Toby!! I actually recently met a wedding officiant who mentioned getting trained for funerals, and how fulfilling it is to be there to comfort families. I'm going to look into it! đ
@@StefanieHurtado your other option and I mentioned this to a mate who does the videos for funerals. Advertise packages for a family history video. Get all the pics one has, scan or download them and put it to music. You do two or three a week in NYC or Brooklyn and you are looking at a couple grand a week. Just advertise it thru socials, word of mouth and letterbox drops. Say 300 pics a thousand bucks. Food for thought!
Great suggestion video - probably because I also enjoy hiking - since I have NY on my bucket list. I live in an apartment in the beautiful and peaceful Geelskov forest/Holte and Furesoe Lake 20 min on public transportation from downtown Copenhagen/Denmark. We could totally swap home like the movie Holiday :D
Love every minute of itâ€ïž
Aww yay thanks for watching! â€ïžđ€
Happy Spring Stefanie, thank you for sharing the video, continue with that willpower in wanting to overcome challenges and negativity.
Yesss!! đ Thank you so much!!!

Absolutely amazing. Hello guys i recommended you visit the himalayan mountains k2 and Nangaparbat view point. Whenever you start a short solo trip of 4-5 days, Moses Peak is a must. It is a 5300m heightÛ from the top of moses pea which you can see the views of the K2 world second highest peak in the world, Nangaparbat, K6 k11 and K 12 views in one frame. best time from May to October. This is a family tracked.its open Zone, one did not need a trekking permit or have to pay Royalty fee to climbed this Mountain tower
Good video! As long as you have correspondence where you actually sent the signed lease youâre more than fine. But even if youâve been paying rent on time without a lease youâre good. Eggs are good but also get in some other animal based proteins haha
Hey thanks!! Yeah, so glad that was easy to sort out. Eggs & tofu 4lyfe đ hahah
The people who manage my building did that to me last year but they just sent the eviction notice! I was so stressed!
Woahhh, that is WILD đ in NYC?
Not in NYC, but Iâm in the UK in a city that is also really competitive for housing. Fortunately I had evidence that Iâd signed it and it was all ok!
@@elizabethmcintosh5684 That is sooo stressful! Iâm glad to hear you were able to get it sorted out quickly!
You should move to states like Texas or Florida, which is relatively safer
I grew up in Florida and loved it in my childhood, but never see myself going back. I really do love living in Brooklyn. Gotta take the bad with the good anywhere! đ€
â@StefanieHurtado Well I can't argue with that. But do keep yourself safe out there.
1:51 - is that a giant burrito in your back?.
Hahahah yes đ€Ł
Mystery resolved. Today I finished watching and discovered⊠the laundry burrito. đ
Or go jogging every or almost everyday, talk about a winđđđ
Yesss! Iâm going to get back into it asap đđ»ââïž
