- NPC Wars, with ODST Squads battling the Covenant Forces in Halo 3.
UNSC has sent the ODST Platoon to interfere the Covenant from extracting an important artifact. Supported with armored vehicles including a Scorpion, Warthog, Mongoose and Hornets ODST forces launched an operation to the Covenant dig site.
I created this scenario with Halo 3 MCC Mod Tools for watching AI Battles.

Sometimes the tank sits there and doesn't fire off a single round before blowing up, othertimes the tank carries the entire fight. Rocket Marines definitely went ham in this one too.

That's the might be the only problem about those tanks in Halo 3. Except for a fact that we can go "HALO WARS" with a large numbers of warthogs and Tanks. (As long as the Game doesn't crash)
I like rocket marines except in halo infinite. They suck so much in infinite. Snipers are badass though
Rocket marines may not be great in infinite, but any Marine with the legendary sentinel beam is an actual monster
I actually really liked Halo ODST, I wish they'd make another game like it. Step in the shoes of a standard marine or ODST. Just one man, in the army.

I love those kinds of games plus when I played it actually felt like I could pretty easily die from just some hunters and that it was a lot different and it made me try to get stealth kills more so I wouldn’t have. To fight as many or just actually when up running because there is to many
They should do a squad-commander version of it (being able to command local marines, call reinforcements to get dropped in, lower health and speed thanks to not being a Spartan, that sort of thing), mixed with Medal of Honor: Airborne-esque beginning to each mission.

His move was calculated, once the tank fired he was going to dark souls his way outa there hence that's why he tried to dodge by the end, unfortunately he was bad at calculations and forgot how short and small his legs where.

It's pathetic. Good physics and AI were the standard in the 2000s. Games were supposed to evolve and improve on these things, but instead the focus was put entirely on graphics and monitization of every possible asset.

Can we just talk for a moment about this dude's amazing camra work? It's almost like everything was scripted to happen in front of the camra rather than improvised on-the-fly while getting those shots. Quite meticulous and professional stuff, and it makes me miss Machinemas. Brings me back to the golden age of Halo.

Anyone else notice a trend in scifi movies and games that when an overpowered alien enemy loses their massive, shielded capital ships they get absolutely wrecked?
Pretty much could be tied down to losing their main technological advancements. In Halo lore, Covie ships were much more advanced than humanity, so the UNSC barely won any engagements, and the ones they did win came as Pyrrhic victories. On ground engagements it was another story entirely due to the technological gap not being as wide. Human infantry weapons in Halo are very effective, and then you have likewise elite troops like ODSTs and Spartans and you pretty much can level the playing field easily.
I'd be willing the wager that if humanity had developed energy shielding on their ships prior to the human-covenant war breaking out, the UNSC could have turned the tide much sooner. Magnetic Accelerated weaponry was the most effective weapon humanity had in space, but rarely could fire them fast enough to win due to human ships being sniped or one shot by Covie ships before they could fire more salvos. If they had energy shields that could provide more time and protection, I'd see the UNSC winning a lot more fleet engagements and the war could have been far less one-sided.

@@JoeMama-rv9wl Absolutely they are, but humanity's force amplifiers and ground vehicles are much more equal in terms of effectiveness when compared to the covies, so physiological advantages can only give them so much advantage. A midget with a gun can take out a 9 foot Elite easily if the gun is good enough, which in the UNSC's case, most of their guns were.
Covies took a LOT of casualties during invasions, which is why they outright skipped invading worlds with no forerunner presence and went straight to the glassing phase, especially if that world had a strong military garrison.
@@JoeMama-rv9wl Nah mate Jackals. Grunts had an exoskeleton along with their normal ones. So it would be hard to kill in hand to hand combat. Though Jackels are fast they have hollow bones like birds which if you could land a hit on them they'd be down.

Fuck a battle royale. Give me this with 4x the AI, 12 players on each team, destructible environments, a huge ass map, an increased cap on sprint speed, melee executions, the ability to call in HW2 style support like reinforcements, vehicles, artillery, ODST/Spec Ops Elite drops, MAC/plasma bombardments, etc.
THIS is the big mode Halo deserves. All out war on various planets in the Halo universe. Taking full advantage of everything that makes Halo unique and dialing up the spectacle well above anything we’ve seen in any game like it.

I always tried like hell to keep my npc alive everytime i played halo 3. Imagine having a halo game, where you can play as both side in a large 50v50 match like this.

Great vid, there were a lot of moments where the ODST and Covenant would go back and forth with every kill. My favorite part was when the Falcon fired its missiles to destroy the last AA turret.
