Vintage pack openings always seem to make me feel good inside lol reminds me of when I was a kid. My favorite Pokémon will always be cyndaquil an his Evo line, ever since I was a kid it was always something about cyndaquil that stood out to me ❤

Psyduck is and always has been my favourite especially now because it reminds me of when my wife gets angry and her head explodes when I buy more Pokémon items for my collection haha 😂
Gengar is my fav of all time. Ghost types always had that wow factor, especially in the beginning. That menacing look with that smile is just so cool.
Same! I remember spending a month at the daycare until I got the perfect Hasty nature Ghastly that I spec'd to have really high Special ATK. Thunderbolt, Psychic, Shadow Ball, Hypnosis.
Nobody was ever able to beat that Gengar. Undefeated
Always amazing to see 1st edition base openings! So hard to pick a favorite original Pokémon. Always liked the Dratini line, with Dragonite's dex entry of saving people stranded at sea.
Arcanine was always my go to Gen 1 Pokemon, just loved the lore behind it.

As a kid Blastiose was always my favorite. That's because I traded for a secret rare gold Blastiose and even though its not CRAZY value, its sentimental value is HUGE. I've been collecting for about a year now and am really enjoying it. Ripping packs and sharing with my friends is the best. Discovered your channel not that long ago but I am loving the content
I remember opening my very first original base set that was Japanese and getting a Zapdos! I was so happy and all my friends at school wanted it so bad because it was in Japanese. It became one of my favorite Pokemon! I also captured one on Gameboy and always used it. The 90's were great and have been hooked ever since! GO ZAPDOS!!!!!!
My first ever rare from a pack was base set Alakazam. I did buy 2 packs once and both had base set Zapdos back to back.

As a kid, Charizard was always my favourite. I just loved the fact that it looked like a dragon and could actually spit fire. Besides that I also really liked the eeveelutions, just all the forms that eevee can take is what I found (and still do) so cool 😄

Pidgeot was always my favorite and still is I always pictured him flying me to somewhere cool and it gave me a sense of freedom that I’ve never experienced before
Have to go with Alakazam. The deep purple looks incredible and he's just an absolute unit in all things Pokemon.
Also wanted to say thank you for rejuvenating my love for pokemon. First saw your videos during the pandemic and watching them became kind of a coping mechanism for me. Since the pandemic ended I've started collecting again, haven't pulled a charizard yet but it's brought back a feeling I haven't felt since I was a kid. Thank you.

My favorite pokemon is Gyrados. I like the fact that he started as a magikarp that no one thought was worth anything but became something powerful and beautiful in the end. :)
I remember all the old channels I used to watch, like superduperdani, unlisted leaf, you, and the like. I was super big into Pokémon content back in 2016-2017, Over the past few years Pokémon content has gone down in popularity, but I remember watching your videos almost every chance I had. it brought so much joy(couldn't afford cards that well back then) seeing the rare cards back when I was like 13-15, I'm 19 almost 20 now. I'm glad to see you're still posting and getting decent views despite the landscape of CZcams. Hope you have a lovely day and thank you for posting your content for so long.
Always enjoy watching a vintage opening. For the original 151 I always liked the Dratini evolution line, they’re all so cool!

I remember there was a kid on my block who was a bad kid he would tell me he would steal money from his grandparents wallet when they are looking away. And one day for some reason he game me a pretty beat up alakazam holo that's my memories with it lol
i always loved Scyther for his overall design. Only grew on me more once Scizor was introduced in Gen 2 - Which since has always been my favourite!
Mankey & Primeape! The episode where mankey steals Ash’s hat was probably my favorite episode of the animated series growing up. So stoked that Primeape got an evolution in Scarlet and Violet.

Ditto is hands down my absolute favorite Pokémon!

Love your content! It helps me relive so many memories I had growing up. Your videos are always very entertaining. I have to say my favorite original Pokémon was probably Zapdos. I remember being so excited having him in my main squad playing Pokémon Leif green on my game boy. Thanks for the amazing content!
Always crazy to see a 1st ed pack opened! My fave gen1 pokemon are probably gyarados and scyther. I thought their designs were super cool as a kid and that nostalgia has stuck with me :)
Haunter & Gengar...the mystery about them yet how playful they are being ghost type Pokemon makes them my favorite !
I always loved Hitmonchan! The epic duels that he and Hitmonlee had back in the day always kept me on the edge of my seat! Plus the original games playing with him and ice punch fire punch thunder punch was so OP!
I enjoyed this video so much and can't wait for the next base set openings, which I love the most. My favorite pokemon is Venusaur, because I remember it being one of the first cards I ever opened. :-)
Charmander has always and will always be my favorite of all time, hence why I have a massive collection of all things Charmander. Something about the soft color orange, adorable lizzard and being fire type just pulls my heart strings. In the recent years I got more fond or Charmeleon and Charizard since all I knew and loved was Charmander even if it made games harder refusing to evolve it :') I was too young to remember opening these packs so seeing them opened and the art style really brings me joy!
Gengar is also the favourite Pokémon of Kentoshi Sajiri who is a major OG of the first Pokémon designs. Fun fact: on the box art for original Red and Blue version, the Pokémon pictures are the starters, pickachu and Gengar ❤

As a kid I was all about Scyther, Alakazam and Machamp. But as the years went by I started to see other Pokemon in a different light. And somehow Rapidash rose to the top for me. It's majesty and simplicity just really made an impression on me. I think especially as some Pokemon designs became so elaborate, the look of a unicorn with fire for hair just really settled nicely with me. So yeah, Rapidash I would say had become my favorite Pokemon from the original 151!

I’ve always loved Gengar. Has been my favorite since I was a kid when my friend traded me his haunter and I was shocked to see it evolve! Pokémon blue has a special spot in my heart

Gyarados hands down. Started playing Pokemon Yellow in 99 and my boy single handedly carried me through the Elite Four. I had to grind a ton, got him to level 80 and then beat the game for the first time. Sweet memories.

Gengar was my favorite pokemon as a kid. Loved his sinister look and the fact you could only get him from trade made him much rarer than the average pokemon at the time
My favorite original is Raichu. As far as reason goes, I’m not 100% sure. I was always drawn to Raichu since I first got into Pokémon back in 3rd grade (roughly 96-97). Absolutely love your videos! Brings back much needed nostalgia!!

I simply love zapdos back in the day i remember encountering it in the powerplant in gen 3 pokemon leafgreen remake, and the design of zapdos made it look cool for me and is one of my fave pokemon to this day

I'm a 90s baby so I grew up watching the show when it first released. One of my favorite episodes is when Ash meets Charmander for the first time. How he took him in with no question after it's trainer left them in the pouring rain. Charmander will always and forever be my favorite!
Charizard will always be my favorite OG 151 Pokemon. I miss the smell of opening the original packs, as weird as that may be. Those were some of the best and most memorable days of my life!

Remember these lol I still have fun with Pokemon till this day. Sharing it with my kids now they love it. Favorite pokemon would be Gengar in my book. I like the evo line, also me and my brother growing up always teamed up on others with ghost Pokemon when we were kids. Great memories carrying them out with my kids now.

Charmeleon was always my favorite. I liked his defiant attitude which I could relate to as a kid at the time. I even have a Charmeleon card collection with nearly every printing across the various sets going back to first edition, missing a few but it has around 50 Charmeleon cards!
Favorite original Pokemon is Gengar, I love the color purple and i loved the episode with gengar, haunter and ghastly in the tower where they played tricks on Team Rocket and Ash.
For me it’s always been Squirtle. My first time playing Pokémon Red as a kid it was my choice from Oak and he was always my go to from then on. Obviously I took full advantage of the community day this weekend.

Poliwrath is my fav Pokemon. Not just from the OG 151. I love his versatility in the games. Learning moves like Body Slam, Hyper Beam, Surf, Strength, Ice Beam, Blizzard, Psychic and Earthquake. Plus he's pretty cool lookin'

Lickitung is my favorite pokemon. I didn't play Licki until BDSP and I loved it's move set. I ran Swords Dance, Knock Off, Power Whip and Body Slam with adamant nature.
