Found your channel today, really like your reactions. Since you're a guitar player, I'd recommend Born of Osiris. They put out a great album this year. The song "White Nile" is a good place to start. I have a lot of suggestions for your journey in mind, especially metalcore classics. I think I'll make a small list with some bands to check out :)

Thanks Coal! Honestly I've only had this channel for about a week and I've been scraping together every second to get content out there because responses like this are unreal!
I'll add born Of Osiris to the list. I've got so many recommendations to sort through, but I've hear the name of these guys, so I'm real curious. Particularly as you mention they are guitar centric.

If you check out Born of Osiris. Check out angel or alien. You won’t be disappointed. Very technical and fun song. White Nile is heavier but still groovy as well. All newer songs by them. 100% This. Killing Season is fantastic. It's actually not a million miles away from this track tonally, but there're many years in between the two songs, and it's great to see the additional maturity and nuance that those years've brought.
