It's obvious you haven't heard many of his songs (maybe try The Machine next?), and your left-leaning position may also be skewing your perception of him a bit. Many on the right hate him just as much as those on the left. He's essentially a classical liberal, just like many of his fans, and the music that speaks out against the establishment and division to try to make people think and start important conversations. This song is an excellent example of what he tries to do with his music, since he is just making common arguments you hear from the most vocal people on both sides in the first 2 verses (you could literally find these back and forward arguments in a Twitter thread), and the last verse is him telling you how he sees things (which is also how most of his fans see them).
