What's the difference between 'Inside' OOD and 'Outside' OOD?

    This just seems like they're calling what's normally referred to as in-distribution test set (so not in train but from the same general distribution) "inside OOD"
    otherwise where do you draw the line between inside OOD and in distribution validation?

    so I suppose inside ood is modeling data lies within the span of training datapoints and outside ood is modeling data lies in an orthogonal dimension to the space spanned by the training datapoints
