You took functional brick and stucco finishes, that were designed to absorb and release moisture without destroying the wooden walls of the house, and replaced them with probably a cheap modern product that risks trapping and leaking moisture and rotting the walls of the house. New products are made of cheap material, though they look good, and new contractors are not good at installing them and may create new problems that weren't there before when you had systems working for decades.
