Dude is like the most identifiable person you could see and goes by Grayman.
I was thinking the same thing.
I've been growing my beard out in rememberance of my stepdad, whom I was in a car accident with (the main reason I havent made a video for my channel in a couple years. Just no heart to do so at the moment). A beard covers facial.features, and it's easier to get rid of it, change appearance, and to confuse people's reticular activating system and disrupting their normalcy bias, than it is to look one particular way at all times.
Until he shaves it off in a pinch and then we don't know how he looks under the beard. 😉😉
Nothing says "discreet" or "inconspicuous" like walking around with a ZZ Top beard LOL.
Hey man, he could just be into beer!
Dunno if anyone gives a shit but if you are stoned like me atm you can watch all the latest series on InstaFlixxer. Have been binge watching with my gf for the last few months xD
@Thaddeus Jad yea, have been watching on InstaFlixxer for since december myself :D
I think the same , so not like a real grayman, too much beard and colory t-shirt
Haha! Yeah I’ve had similar thoughts about my beard but it’s nowhere near as long as his
Because...giggity. This was the best part of the talk and made me feel immediately like we would definiately get along. LOL
I feel like this dude doesn't actually carry this stuff every day
None of these guys on you tube carry all this crap. You’d have to have a Fanny pack to lug all this sh&t around every day. Just carry a hood belt knife and your 9mm heater and that’s it. Way to many gadgets to keep up with
At first , I was skeptical . Graymans choice of gear makes sense . Never throw away old windshield wiper blades until you remove the spring steel which is perfect for making lock picks , rakes , tensioners and a seriously nasty weapon . Paracord is lovely and the most important piece of paracord one can carry is about 4 feet long and used as a tourniquet .
Make a loop in one end which is large enough to pass the other end through with one hand while wearing gloves . Keep the loop outside a shirt pocket or trousers so you can access it quickly . It serves other purposes = Use your imagination .
The face ripper ring is a great idea . My belt has a small pocket for a handcuff key .
Great video , Thanks and all the best .
You got videos? I didn't know the wiper solution.
Thanks for having our good buddy @JDGrayman on. He's great and we're grateful he rocks our gear.
you guys have some awesoem stuff! glad we were able to show it off
This is awesome JD, loving it.
"There's no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothes."
You should do some vids on clothing because that's really the first part of kit. I'm always looking for pants that have enough good pockets that are comfortable, decent price, and well made. Also shirts that can keep you warm or cool, don't stink, or easy to clean quick dry.
Love that little fix blade
Not drawing attention to oneself
Is crucial. Fly below the radar.
Awesome brother! I always love seeing what other people carry. And I’ve told been interested in wazoo gear, I will definitely check them out, thanks guys and travel safe “Grayman”😎👊
I made it back to home safely 👍 Thank you for the well wishes.
@@JDGrayman gonna hit up BSS on your flashlight choice. I think he will appreciate it. Might even get a heart!! Good stuff dude!! I subbed!!
That's a pretty dope EDC. Grayman got lots of useful items. 🔥🔥🔥
Agreed!!
Some great EDC gear. Thank you for the video, James and JD. Stay safe and stay cool.
Thanks, you too! hows that bark river holding up?
@@JunkyardFox Great. It is an awesome knife. I should bring it out for Fire It Up Friday, if it does not snow or rain. Thank you for the reply, James. Stay safe and stay cool
Very interesting items and methods of carrying them. A list of the items and where to get them would be great. Thanks JD Grayman for showing your method.
links are down below
His loadout is subtle, simple but complete with redundancy. Better than most without a bag.
Just rewatched this for the 3rd time. Thanks so much: I love all your videos, but the ones where I learn a lot from are very well received from me. :-)
Was just scrolling and the preview started playing without no sound…I LOL’d at your faces and clicked the video. Full review of you two coming next 😭
Very cool set up JD! I’m gonna look into that belt and cap.
An interesting glimpse into your priorities. My EDC is similar but stashed mostly in my pants pockets.
Lots of bottle openers on ya. If you’re ever going to storm a Tailgate party or a Frat house... you’re definitely prepared. No bottle left behind!
you gotta be prepared for ALL kinds of emergencies, even party ones
Nice show and tell there JF 🦊, greyman 👤 has his stuff hidden good, Wonder if they could make a hat 🎩 like yours to be a able stash items like that it be awesome 👏
👍👌✌️😎🇺🇸
Awesome video. Love the EDC partnership. That’s a pretty awesome hat to.
Thanks for watching!
I wish I could carry a super compact solution, but with what I run into daily I need to have a backpack with a bunch of stuff. I got so tired of being stuck without and having to run to the nearest store to buy something that I already have at home and it not being practical or possible to go home in the moment to get stuff. Over the years I ended up with so many driver sets and rolls of duct and electrical tape, etc. that I am set for life. I just carry stuff with me now. It's a lot to carry for most people, but I haven't had to buy something in a pinch in the three years I've been carrying it.
Wazoo makes some good stuff. Thanks for the video. I liked the presentation. Got some new ideas to try out.
Glad you enjoyed!
Thank you!!!
I'll be looking into wazoo survival gear. Awesome video guy. I love your choice in flashlight by the way! Shout out to jack at blacks scout survival!
Would love to have you join the tribe!
Nice setup and loved the baseball cap idea. 🏴
Excellent! Very comprehensive.
glad you liked it LEo, im gonna be getting a new pew pew myself soon
Holy Smokes! Never would have imagined you could fit so much in a cap! Great video guest on board.... adding him to my CZcams subscriptions.
That tells how secure is your new lock.
Wow this guy gave me so much ideas to add to my EDCs. That lockpicking must have been soooooo cool to watch. Love it
Where did you find the finger cut kit? I'm a Union pipefitter, and I'm constantly cutting up my hands. Just today I ended up nearly losing the tip of my ring finger, so now I'm definitely interested!
Me too. woodworker and so are 2 of my brothers. we all need this.
This man has two compasses in his hat what planet cuzzzzzz
Went all the way to Massachusetts but skipped the nicest part of New England.. Maine!
I dig that fixed blade knife. Looks like it would be good for carving. If they start making them I would buy one.
ill be sure to tell JD
I'd definitely like to have one of those "Ganet" knives!
I like that blade also
Very well done. Great advice for all of us to think about.
Very cool!
love what you have in your collection, JD. and, your philosophy is very refreshing. i live in northern new england. i get to carry more gear on me, because carrying a bag, or tote or backpack is the norm. the stash-in-the-hat is awesome. i don't wear baseball style caps, but, could mod up one of my driving caps. thanks for sharing what you do. regards, dl
Thanks for the video.. love that blade! 💯
Thanks for watching!
You guys are awesome.
very unique collection !!!
Unique stuff I've never seen before. Kool.
My edc.. wallet, keys, small knife , and ruger lcp 2 .380.
A firearm is the most important edc.
You got me at " lc200n". My favorite blade material. Great job!
Love the hat and belt. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
Thank you thank you!
Dope ass little fixed blade! Show us his TRUCK!!😁✊🔥
unfortunately we ran oput of time but im trying to convince JD to film a vide on his truck for his own channel
@@JunkyardFox I watched his sawyer filter mod video the other day, then you had him on I almost didn't recognize him with the beard lolol 😆✌💚
My building has electronic entry now so good luck "picking" that door.
Hey JD.
Could you please explain what you attach the ceramic blade to the back of the Wazoo Cache Cap?
I am very happy he called that a watch pocket. lol. I collect antique pocket watches and not many people know that pocket was orig. intended for watches. lol. so that makes me happy when somebody knows that. :)
Im a student of history 😋
I also have a Wazoo cap and belt, I have a SAK Huntsman plus with Helix tinder and Firefly ferro rod from Tortoise Gears, In my cap, i have 4 different wilderness cards, Fresnel magnify, and a tool card. In my belt, I have signal mirror and a couple meters of Survival Paracord like the Titan. Thx for sharing
i have just upgraded my sak ranger with corkscrew helix tinder&striker and plus scales, its great. i also like the knipex xs , rattlerstrap belt for more cordage and imagereflectors credit card :)
Thank you for mentioning the beard.
You immediately gained my respect for ad.iting to it and pointing it out. I was ready to comment about it myself when you started talking about your grey man approach 😂. Most guys would have just never mentioned it and tried to talk past it.
Love the hat. I wear a similar hat but it has none of the hidden features yours does. I'll have to pick one up.
Thanks for sharing your EDC. Enjoyed the video. Just a tip you might consider getting a CDL and using it to continue your adventure of traveling the country and getting paid to do it.
I like the compass idea behind the cap. Thanks.
Like your setup... I’m all about having extra gear... if not for my use then for someone that needs something extra! Subbed ya by the way
I love the cap. Definitely buying one
Adapt and overcome.Every environment is a bit different.
In the same state but further east . One size fits all is crazy other than certain givens. Have a good one
This is a really good video like always keep the good content coming
Appreciate it
Nice job thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
LC200N is outstanding steel.
Didn't know half these things existed. Thanks.
I’ve never been conforatble putting gear into my hat, when the wind blows it has gone. I do love my Wazoo belt though, it feels safer.
i have never once lost a hat, even if the winds knock it off, i can just go grab it
@@JunkyardFox I once lost a hat into a river. I think your hats are a little heavier than mine, I tent to wear baseball caps or Tilley hats that have a cord for security.
I keep my hats pretty snug. 👍 I'm also not a fan of shoes that aren't laced up tight 😂
Really great simple gear. You should have listed the items and where to get them in the description section. That's just my opinion. The hat was a super nice touch. Keep up the good work.
The baseball cap has a whole house in it! I need one!
So I just learned how Beau of the Fifth Column can flip the patch on his hat upside down and back again. Didn't know they made caps with Velcro patches you could change out. Very educational.
That fixed blade is genius. I set up more for los angeles ....medic background. Love this video guys.
I completely agree with the Leatherman. I have like 9 different Leatherman and I keep one in my car and the Skeletool is the only one I physically carry because it’s the perfect size and weight. The only thing I would add is a pair of scissors.
Really like that wallet. A much more sensible alternative to the ridge.
Great video. Thanks.
Glad you liked it!
Thanks fellows.
thanks for watching
One of the most interesting EDC videos I've seen. Awesome.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Yeah I have a lock kit and picking my own house doors for learning. Next my truck
im oredring my own set this week so i can start practicing
Get a set of auto-jigglers. I've picked the locks on some of my buddy's vehicles with them (with their permission, of course). 👍
Right out the gate i noticed the strike bezel "ring" lol nice!
good eye!
I noticed it too, but I think most people wouldn't.
Might want to check out local ordinances when it comes to lock picking tools. Avoiding arrest is a high priority.
I was just waiting for him to pull some gear out of his beard... that would a "gray way" to be tactical
Would be cool to get one of those hats and have the company you work for embroidered on it. No one would expect anything for sure then.
I liked the compass on the hat idea so I incorporated that already.
G19 with spare mag. Leatherman rebar on my belt. Stream light microstream. Always have a lighter because I smoke. Sunglasses wallet keys…..etc. I would like to add some lock picks and learn how to use. That does seem like a good idea. Also some medical but I’m pretty much out of places to comfortably carry things on my body. I also work as a mobile mechanic all day aswell.
👍 Interesting video. That is a lot of stuff discreetly carried. Too much stuff in the pants pockets for me, but with cargo pants maybe not so bad. A lot of food for thought. Thanks to you guys for the walk through.
Thanks for watching!
Cargo pants draw too much attention, in my opinion. These are 5.11 Defender Flex jeans. They have extra, hidden kidney pockets, mainly to be used to carry a couple AR 30rd mags, but I use them to keep gear higher up on my body. Harder to pickpocket as well, and when you sit, you aren't sitting on your gear
@@JDGrayman If it works for you, it works for you; I did not mean to imply you should change your system.
But, too much stuff in the pockets for me. At 71 years old I have traveled extensively across the U.S. & around the world and never needed that much gear just walking about. Maybe I have lived a sheltered life.
I guess if your cargo pants were olive green or camouflage they would draw attention. Otherwise I don’t believe anyone pays much attention unless the pockets are jammed full of stuff.
I d like to see the face of the person who will pickpocket him🤣
@@panoskarallis6797 In 71 years traveling to every major city in the U.S., the UK, Europe, and Asia no one ever tried to pick my pocket. So, I don’t view it as a major risk.
I also have a Skeletool, by far the best edc multitool ever. It offers so much for the small size and weight that it has.
Magnifique EDC l'ami merci pour ton partage
Awesome Cool Vid !!!!
Thanks for the visit
Great video, like the knife that jd n friends designed n made.
Pretty cool setup. Thanks for sharing.
JT
When a guy has a beard that long, I start to think wizard in training.
hes a grayman wizard
@1965lo I don't know HIS reasons but guns are over rated. Watch this: czcams.com/video/kM-AaNlLyGg/video.html
I love EDC, but this guy is deep in the rabbit hole.
No tention wrench for those lock picks?
Great ideas, thanks
Thanks for watching!
@@JunkyardFox You dropped off my radar for a while there, the notification bell wasn't selected, but I'm sure it used to be, I wonder if CZcams deselects if you have "too many" notifications?
@@eachday9538 who knows, CZcams is weird. Just know we’re pretty consisted with a new video every week
Great stuff, I have my eye set on a couple things. Solid EDC for a city dweller.
I've seen this video countless times, I quite like JD's setup. On the other hand, I really would like to see a take on the grayman gear setup from James! You did the hobo thing with The Hidden Woodsman satchel but would be cool to see something more specific.
Nice! Are the lock picks and compass from black scout survival?
Those lock picks were super cheap, crappy ones I got from some random place. I do have a set of BSS bogota picks that I REALLY like, but they are in storage at the moment. Compass on the back of the cap is also from Wazoo
@@JDGrayman Rad! Thanks for sharing your edc. Also thanks for informing about wazoo. I never knew about that site. Take care!
Nice gear collection 👍🏼👍🏼😎🇺🇸🤙🏼
I like that Gannon knife that you made I'd like to be able to get one
Gannet, after the sea bird. We're working on logistics to when/if we go full production
ME TOO!
Gear , stuff, can be divided into 'tool' or 'toy'.
Most if not all gear can be obtained from Walmart, Goodwill and sale shops. Hit garage sales and estate sales. Used is perfectly ok! God knows it will be used when you are done with it!
No list here but ordinary and very cheap things serve very well! Plastic shopping bags nested three at a time ...
Think. Look. Shop. Stay light. Stay simple. Stay ordinary.
Remember, cold food and tap water work just as good and no smelly fire.
Be careful and have fun!
Thanks!
Excelente !!!!!!
Just being an observant person, he would scream grayman to me lol.
luckily 98 percent of the world isnt paying attention
Everyone too busy having their heads stuck up their apps 😋
Because it is obvious.
Can you teach how to open doors? Imagine in a TEOTWAWKI scenario, many places will be abandoned but you could still gather resources from there.
Great video
Glad you enjoyed it
Love that fixed blade perfect size but not in production
be sure to follow JD on instagram, you never know hwne theyll make a small batch
Yes... I definitely want to get one!
LC200n is dope!
i need to copy thisss
I like this guy.😂
i was expecting for him to pull out a phone from the back of his clock
