Final funeral rites of the late OHENEYERE JOANA ASAMOAH of Larteh-Ahenase was held in Accra at the Ghana Atomic Energy Commission (GAEC) school park on Saturday 22nd October, 2022. The final funeral rites housed great Chiefs and Queen mothers from the Akuapem Benkum division and other parts of the country.
Great display of tradition was arrayed. Firing of guns, musketry and drumming amidst dancing was hailed at the funeral grounds displaying a great culture of the Akuapem-Larteh.
Oheneyere Mrs. Joana Adriana was born on Monday, May 19th, 1946, at Saltpond. She got married to Mr. Albert Darko Asamoah, now Osabarima Asiedu Okoo III (Chief of Larteh-Ahenase and the Benkum Hene of the Akuapem tradition area) in 1968
She attended Mfantsiman Girls Secondary School at Saltpond in September 1961.
Oheneyere Mrs. Joana Adriana Asamoah passed on to eternity on Monday, May 23rd, 2022, few days after her 76th birthday.
