Beeswax is a highly valuable product and it only comes from honey bee hives. Make sure that while you're cleaning up your equipment and getting it ready for the next season that you collect that valuable beeswax as you do.
Here are three reasons why you should collect your beeswax:
    1) It's expensive. You can collect and utilize the beeswax for yourself. Whether you want to make candles or personal care products, beeswax is worth having.
    2) If you don't want to do anything with it for yourself, there are most likely others in your area that would pay you for it. After melting the beeswax and filtering the bulk of the junk out of it, consider selling it to someone local who wants to make stuff out of it.
    3) The biggest incentive for me is being able to take my beeswax to a local beekeeping equipment supplier. They will either pay me cash for my wax (determined by weight and color) or I can get store credit for it and use the beeswax to get much needed beekeeping equipment.

You're back! Missed you for a few weeks. I like your videos because you actually show/ demonstrate what a beekeeper needs/ does that doesn't ALWAYS include working with the bees. Like the equipment needed, techniques, and "other work needed in & around the apiary. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with us "newer beekeepers".

Omg what an amazing comment, thank you! Though I will definitely have videos including in-hive work, there’s so much behind the scene stuff. I will definitely keep it coming 😉

Thank you for another great video! You give more practical knowledge and tips in one 12 min. video than most folks have on their entire channel, such a great resource for a beginner like me. I love your pragmatism. On that note I would really like to see you do a few videos on how you build your boxes, bottom boards, etc. I bet you have some good tips to share there as well.
Thanks again, you have a great thing going here!

Hey Michael! Man, your comments make my day 😁. I am happy to demonstrate how I build my equipment. Within the next couple of months I plan on working on bottom boards and Vivaldi boards/Quilting boxes. I will make sure to video that for you. Thank you for letting me know what you would like to see 🐝🐝

I use a large tote, put a deep in the tote and put frame into the deepand scrap the wax off the foundation and frame. I melt the wax to clean it up to rewax my frames.
