Ipsos is literally known for refusing to pay out. They’re just as much 2-bit scammers as every other survey app.
First y’all do an undisclosed sponsored puff piece for OW2 (which is illegal in US and AU) and Blizzard, now you’re promoting scammers. Really gutted to see you guys stoop to this level, I put a not insignificant amount of money into making sure that you guys could afford to continue doing news and you repay the community by assisting in scamming them and taking under-the-table money to do puff pieces for predatory games.

It's worth noting if you spec into Tech class hard enough, you gain a passive aura called "It only stops working when you leave the room, I swear!" because even the technology understands and respects your prowess at that level. At this point I just use the necromancy of walking around the building and making eye contact with everything that has an electrical pulse, and nothing breaks down, best part is I'm being paid to just walk around and just have my passive aura do all the work, very rarely I am asked questions because they know my affairs are not worldly mortal affairs.

This is a good overview but it's mostly relevant to the U.S.A server. I know that in various European servers the business class has much fewer abilities built in to adjust the market compared to their American counterparts. Additionally, I have heard of certain areas of the U.S.A server that are removing the intelligence requirement for the teacher class thereby nerfing the tutorial experience for newer players.

the mercenary subclass, or as it's called in-game, contractor, is the modern version of the mercenary subclass. While similar in some respects, sharing perks and skills, Contractor's gameplay loop is substantially different.
Before season 18, and even a little while after, the Mercenary class was much more combat focused. Entire groups of Mercenary mains would operate their own factions and in some cases dipped into Politics as they became more institutional.
Contractors on the other hand can be anything have their biggest subclass in Private Security. This subclass varies heavily depending on what faction you join and how deep you are.
At the end of the tech tree you see a lot of overlap with the Infantry class, such as Advanced Training - Firearms and Advanced Access - Armor, alongside it's pvp focus, but it also tends to overlap with the Police Officer subclass.

      Courtesy of ChatGPT: Academician Class
The Academician Class, much like the Business Class, has been steadily evolving and adapting in recent patches. It attracts a diverse player base looking to maximize their knowledge and intellectual prowess. This class boasts lower entry requirements compared to some other advanced classes, making it an attractive choice for those who value the pursuit of wisdom over monetary gain. To spec into the Academician Class, players need moderate stats in Intelligence and Curiosity, coupled with a strong Fortitude to withstand the rigorous academic challenges.
As players progress through the Academician Class, the accumulation of knowledge often outpaces other high-skill classes, offering an unparalleled intellectual satisfaction. Furthermore, this class offers access to a range of powerful late-game perks, such as Research Grants, which provide additional resources for exploring new fields, and Tenure, which offers job security and reduced penalties for academic blunders.
The Academician Class is currently positioned in the highest tier, and it shows no signs of losing its prestige anytime soon. Players who embark on this scholarly path can expect to embark on a lifelong journey of intellectual discovery and innovation.
      Arts and Humanities
Within the Academician Class, the Arts and Humanities subcategories have experienced significant shifts in popularity and specialization in recent updates. Traditional academic pursuits, such as Literature and Philosophy, continue to attract devoted players. However, newer subcategories, like Digital Humanities and Cultural Studies, have gained momentum as the game world evolves.
One noteworthy change is the recent inclusion of the Creative Writing subclass under the Arts and Humanities category. This move was accompanied by a substantial reduction in stat requirements across the board, making it more accessible to aspiring writers. Success in the Arts and Humanities typically demands high levels of Creativity and Critical Thinking. However, players can offset these demands by networking and building connections, which provides a Networking Buff that aids in career progression.
Despite the allure of the Arts and Humanities, players should be aware of limited opportunities for high-tier positions. This often leads to lower than average income stats for those who pursue these paths. In response to player feedback, the Developers introduced the Public Intellectual subclass, which eliminates the need for high Creativity and Critical Thinking stats, offering an alternative path for players seeking to contribute to the intellectual landscape.
      Science and Technology
Next up, we delve into the Science and Technology specialization within the Academician Class. This category has witnessed remarkable growth in popularity, akin to the Tech Class in the business world. High Intelligence builds have become meta, and all Science and Technology subclasses require substantial investment in this stat.
The Developer's vision for these new builds, such as Data Scientists, Genetic Researchers, and Quantum Physicists, mirrors the ethos of old wizard builds. Players in these roles often find themselves grappling with enigmatic challenges and pushing the boundaries of knowledge. Collaboration with players from the Business Class is common, as both groups tend to believe they are mutually benefiting from their partnerships.
While players should prioritize Intelligence, a dash of Creativity never goes amiss in the Science and Technology Class. It aids in solving intricate problems that often make up a significant portion of the gameplay loop. The allure of exploring uncharted territories and solving complex conundrums keeps Tech Mains engaged in a perpetual quest for understanding.
      Social Sciences and Policy
Another prominent branch within the Academician Class is the Social Sciences and Policy category. This class appeals to those who aspire to understand and influence the social dynamics and policies that shape the game world. Players interested in this class typically need a blend of Empathy, Analytical Thinking, and Diplomacy.
The Social Sciences and Policy Class offers a unique set of perks, including Research Grants for conducting impactful studies and Lobbying, which allows players to advocate for changes in the in-game rules and regulations. Additionally, the class includes the Public Intellectual subclass, which significantly reduces the requirements for entry, catering to a wider range of players.
Currently, the Academician Class remains one of the most prestigious and intellectually rewarding paths in the game. Players who choose this class can anticipate a lifetime of discovery, innovation, and a meaningful contribution to the virtual world's knowledge and understanding.

Academician has low prestige gain. It also doesn't seem to be favorable recently with the rise of the Anti-science faction. However, crisis presents opportunity and if an academician is talented and lucky enough, they might become the next Einstein (the lvl76 scientist who influenced the development of Time and Space update by discovering archives of general and special relativity, which considerably buffed the money generation of all the subclasses of academician and science-related classes) and earn prestige that's enough to reach no.1 in the Prestige Leaderboard.
However, that is to say that Einstein is a special case and there has not been one like him since release. One who was comparable was Newton, or could have even exceeded him. The data is limited since the leaderboards only appeared during the 1st Industrial Revolution update where it introduced leaderboards.

An important addition to the Education Class is that one of the traditional prestige sub-classes "Tenured Professor" is pretty quickly dying out and getting replaced in the meta with the significantly nerfed "Adjunct Professor" and "Postdoctoral Researcher" subclasses. Both of the new classes have worse gold generation and lose the "tenure-track" buff, which means you end up having to multiclass just to keep playing a lot of the time.
It sucks because to even get to those you have to invest a massive amount of gold and xp into the "graduate student" subclass to complete the PhD questline. The graduate student subclass has some of the worst fortitude debuffs in the game, comparable to the medical class, but both gold and xp generation are pretty much entirely RNG from the "Grant Application" and "Publish Academic Paper" sidequests. A lot of people say this meta-change is the result of the Neolibral patch they released in version 19.80, which switched "University Administrator" from a late-game Education prestige class to a Business class.

I have family in the military tree, and I myself was interested in that specialization. An important thing about it is that at least in my server, it's more like a guild. Once you're in, there are buffs and rebuffs that are applied to all, but otherwise, you can spec into pretty much any subclass within the military guild itself. After your self-determined agreement is expired, smart players will already have every upgrade they need and more to make an easy transition back outside the guild. Except for maybe some fortitude.
I myself am early in the paramedic/firefighter combined subclass in the American server, and one upside is that even though you aren't making as much as a nurse or a politician, you still get the prestige of a nurse, but the benefits of being part of a government labeled subclass. And all of that is at the cost of a slightly higher spec'd tradesman. Essentially, this is probably the most stable sub-classes that stack over time. Would love to hear from higher lvl emergency builds, or any other mid-late game players.

The trades is a pretty good class to spec into but definitely takes more athleticism than shown. It does have high benefits in the mid to late game but at the cost of the body aches debuff and poor temper debuff. Most also tend to get the sailors mouth status effect.

I find the tutorial for the fame quite cool in the way it works, i would love a video on tutorial strategies because it is not linear like in most games, rather in this game the tutorial already includes a class choice in multiple stages of specificity (ranging from 3 to even around 10 stages of specifying your class depending on the tutorial path you choose and server you play in.) like the first choice after the parenting tutorial (if you are unlucky you might not get the parenting tutorial) of whether to attend primary school, the later middle school, then high school in which there is already a variation, but after that you can choose apprenticeship or university or exploration as your options. It would be cool to see a deep dive video on all the tutorial mechanics of the game.

The Administration class is an often overlooked class that is controversial due to some players arguing it is more of a genra of sub-class than a class unto itself.
It is usually very similar to many business sub-classes in stat and skill requirements, as well as in its core gameplay loop. However, instead of being in the business hierarchy, you are placed in the Polotics hierarchy (and sometimes other hierarchies as well, depending on the sub-class).
This usually results in a lower money generation as compared to an equivalent business main, however, Administration mains tend to have much higher quality of life perks, and their runs are much less likely to be upended due to bad RNG. Making it a low risk, low-reward alternative often preferred by more casual players, at least for low to mid level runs.
The other main advantage of the Administration class as compared to business only applies at its highest levels which only the most dedicated and skilled of Administration mains can reach. At these levels, you get many of the perks of the Polotics class, but without as strong of competition from the notoriously sweaty tryhard Polotics mains, or the potentially run ending election questline that automatically fires every few patches on most servers.
The Administration class is generally seen as less viable than Buisness overall due to its generally lower money generation, and is certainly less popular than Buisness outside of a few outlier servers where the Buisness class playerbase has been nearly entirely game ended by the economic collapse server event. However, very high level Administration mains have been known to arguably weild more power in the game than even the highest level Polotics players.
Lastly, and perhaps most strangely, the highest levels of both the Military class, and some Emergancy sub-classes, find themselves forced to multi-class into Administration to continue to advance in their playthrough, if not fully switch classes all together.

If you're a newer player but close to the "College Degree" Quest line, I highly recommend the Marketing subclass from the business class, unlike in other classes, you may find yourself boosting some stats for free from older players that do not understand the "Tik Tok strat", the issue is that if you cannot rank up fast enough, or do not carry the nepotism perk, you are highly replaceable, even by players that do not have the College Quest completed or who have ouright skipped it.

I'm at level 18 and in the tech class tutorial. Thinking of completing the tech tutorial and then starting the trades class tutorial since a lot of players from the trades class disconnected from the servers or just got the elderly debuff (which has resulted in the trades build buff in the recent patch). I do have some trades class exp since I have been helping a family member who is lvl 60 since I was lvl 14. My stats are pretty well rounded now and I have a good idea of what its like to play both tech and trades builds.
Good luck on your tech build if you decide to get into it

Hey new player here, I finished the tutorial not long ago and I tried to promote to the tech class tree which had a good money generation but I didn't like the gameplay loop.
My build right now is like:
Stats: mainly invested in intelligence, creativity and a bit in athletics.
Skills: Even though not high level I still have all the starter skills that the tech tree gives like Math, Programming, Group work buff, etc...
I'm looking for a class with a fun gameplay loop even though it doesn't have a good money generation rate.
    Open for suggestions!

Faith is an unusual stat, most people seem to treat it as a dump stat or take very little, but at high levels you get interesting perks like Feel No Fear, Feel No Pain and bonuses to disciplne, and once you take Martyrdom, death becomes an advantage, not a problem. It also doesn't have geographic restrictions, you can always up sticks, hike somewhere and evangelise. On the other hand, you end up in a pretty restricted playstyle, you can move anywhere, but your options for depth are reduced. IMO its a great build if you're willing to make sacrifices.

    • @rexr0b0twars80
      @rexr0b0twars80 Před 8 měsíci

@EcclesiastesLiker-py5ts naturally, you also get debuffs to the skills of intellect and perception, despite the fact that most players encorperate some points into faith you're right in the aspect that most don't build too much into it, main reason why most do put a couple points in is just so they can get rid of the existential insecurity debuff in the early game, it was actually the warlord class that really brought faith builds into the closed beta, once the game went live the new update which everyone was expecting to come with a basic faith build nerf ended up coming out, and it started causing certain builds to fail at nullifying the existential insecurity debuff, certain famous trailblazing players started trying to abandon faith builds in the late game instead going for high intellect builds that managed to cut oit that drasted debuff, if only the devs were more clear with how they conveyed the lore maybe we wouldn't have a need for the existential insecurity debuff. Or even faith builds in the first place. Instead, we could focus those points on more beneficial areas in the early game. Other than that, though, you can still feel pain and fear with high faith builds after all the advanced torture methods that were updated in update 2.002 added the ability to skip around the faith immunity skill which dominated the combat meta back during the crusades. Faith builds are still overpowered, and players who utilise them still often cause harm to those who use more eccentric builds. ever since they formed a guild after the release of patch 0.3 towards the middle of the closed beta, they have remained one of the most toxic and belligerent guilds in the game, they treat those within the guil like family but those outside who don't vibe with some of the rules of the guild are looked down upon with almost genocidal distain, it's been the catalyst for several pvp updates during the closed beta and even several confrontations after the game went live with patch 1.963. Faith builds have an extensive history with countless buffs and nerfs dating back to its inception. However, in more recent updates, it seems to be losing its placement within the meta. This is, of course, a wonderful thing as there are numerous other builds that are way more fun without any investment into faith holding them back.
