They do! I can’t even get my three to wear matching shoes.
It's not weird, it's a blessing. I like the fact that parents dedicate their children, allowing the child to choose faith through baptism on their own time.

John you killed it when you said it's a weird thing. In something you believe in honoring God for His precious gifts, is a beautiful thing, and is far from weird. Dedicating children to God is acknowledging their his, and for His protection and guidance over their lives.
You have a beautiful family, and raising them in church, teaching them the ways of the Lord, is so beautiful!! You both are good role parents, your children are Bless.
There is nothing more precious than seeing a child being dedicated back to the Lord and having your families and church family there to support you with their love and prayers! My parents who were both Pastors always gave those little New Testaments and certificates of dedication to parents each time they did baby dedications as well but I absolutely love those little blocks with their names and life verses on them! What a special memento to hang on to give each girl as they leave home some day! May God continue to bless your family as you raise your family to love snd serve the Lord! You are such a blessing! My sweet Daddy who pastored for over 50 some years alongside my beautiful Momma who went to heaven three years ago this July is lying in a hospital bed dying and as I watch your vlogs I cannot help but wander back in my mind to my amazing heritage and being raised the way your girls are being raised to love the Lord and to be an example of his love to others!❤️

We had our children dedicated many years ago and our grandson was just dedicated on Mothers day! I have always felt it was such a privilege to be part of a loving church family. In our church, as we dedicate ourselves to raising our children in church and God's will, our church family also commits to coming along side of our family and supporting our child as well as us as we are raising our kiddo. Do you still feel that way when your child is having a temper tantrum and doesn't let you relax or sleep for days on end? Just wondered how many parents out there struggle to remind themselves that the children who are driving them insane are actually a gift from the lord! LOL

I grew up going to church, still to this day at 24, still trying to grow in my faith. I got baptized at 16 years old. What I liked about my parents decision, they wanted their kids (4 of us total, 3 girls and 1 boy) to make that decision ourselves when we were ready. Which is great because 2 of us are baptized and 2 aren’t ( because they aren’t ready) we range between 24-20 ! So all adults now.

Great explanation, in my church we do a presentation, where after 40 days for Males and 80 days for Females, they are finally brought to church and they receive a special blessing and are brought to be dedicated to God, as parents we make a commitment to instill in them the love of God, and also thank God for protecting us during the process of pregnancy and labor.

It's a beautiful ceremony and y'all brought tears to my eyes when you were explaining. My parents didn't do the baby dedication but my mama would tell me that church was the first place that she took me whenever I was taken somewhere.

Baby dedications are so special! My church hasn't had one since pre-covid, and now that we're in lockdown again, it'll keep on waiting. Once we do have one, there'll be some 2 year olds I think........but it's never too late. It's always good to renew that too as the kids get older and the letting-go-letting-God becomes more real

Yes we dedicated our child to God for everything are His and we are committed to take care of them as God has given us a chance to take care of them. Its a pleasure and blessings to have kids as gifts to us.
I was born and raised in Italy and Christians are pretty much all Catholics there. We baptize babies and I had never heard of dedications before, I had to google it. Loved the matching dresses!

I think it’s absolutely wonderful and the memories that you will have that the girls will have as they grow older, thank you for the explanation of the dedication, sincerely I knew what it was about but a lot of people don’t and that just means that your extra special when you explain what you’re doing and why you do it in the bottom line it’s all about God. So happy that your parents were able to come to the dedication

I totally agree! We dedicated our daughter (Faith) to the Lord when she was just days old! Our prayer was (at that time) that one day she would want to accept Jesus Christ as her own personal Savior also! Thankfully she did! We continue to pray that she stays close to the Lord and that she will continue to grow in the Lord and continue to be a "Godly" child as well on into her adulthood! I'm so thankful that Faith did make that choice to ask the Lord to come into her heart and save her! I know we, as her parents always wanted her to grow up and serve the Lord and now watching her as she is soon turning 16 and enjoying being a Christian that just means everything to us as her parents! So for me and her dad our prayer for Faith is that she will continue to Love the Lord and always seek to be a "Godly" person! Your so right, our childred are our gift from God and we only have them with us for a few short years to teach them about HIM! Turn around twice and they will be graduating! Your baby dedication was beautiful!
