    CZcams just randomly suggested this video to me and I found it very informative despite not knowing half of the medical terms she used but, her explanation and use of pictures really helped

      Get some ordinary honey - you don't need the expensive "medicated" stuff, cover the ulcer with it, wrap some kitchen wrap around the ankle and hold in place with gauze or any clean rag. Check every 24 hours. DO NOT WASH IT: the honey must cover the ulcer at all times until it has healed! Add a few drops of honey every time you check the ulcer, nothing more. Just replace the plastic wrap with a clean piece and cover again.
      This works for ANY open wound, including very serious burns: my wife and I don't even bother to visit the doctor or hospital if we suffer open wounds: we have been using the honey treatment for the past 35 years. Burns treated in this way don't even leave detectable scars.

      @@100anti Sorry: this only came up on my notifications now. I don't see why it shouldn't work on a water blister wound. Water blisters usually occur with light burns and it certainly works on THEM.

      @@100anti I don't know the answer to this question, I'm afraid. All I can suggest is that you try it. I think all who bother to read updated comments would greatly appreciate it if you would report back to inform us whether it works or not. Thank you.

      National Physical Therapy Exam . The videos I make are specifically for people trying to study for this test, but hopefully are helpful to a wider audience than that!

    Why wouldnt hydrocollids be the answer to the question?

    • @HUTCHvsNPTE
      @HUTCHvsNPTE  Před 2 lety +2

      Good question! Hydrocolloids are better for wounds with lots of exudate. Hemostasis means the wound is NOT exudative, aka it does not have a lot of moisture.
