In case no one has already told you, but you get more blood from playing normal as hard only has the achievement at the end. Normal will have the final boss drop a boss item that gives currency.
And since he has already beaten the meme boss no need to go in the hard mode.

I just realized 20 runs in that you could upgrade backpack space and wand slots and stuff…
The double tracking for the snakes works because they turn sharper and faster, hitting many times more than with just a single tracking
A lot of spell mods work with summons, as well. Anything that increases a spell's area, for instance, massively increases the width of Mr. Ke's Head, which allows it to attack enemies from farther away, as well as more enemies at once. And since it only takes damage on the center portion, adding area with special effects (mainly slow and stop) makes for a fantastic defense for it.

Sneks need a rematch. As you've noticed all their stats are basically damage multis to their DPS. Would be nice to see something like T3 snek with at least T2 multishot.
Seeing how insane the bonuses on the mouse tracking are for them, the autoaim setup most likely won't come close as it would require 3 separate slots for the same bonus values.
Try mouse tracking AND homing, or two x homing, as that is better than 1x double levelled homing
There is an option to make your spells transparent as much or little as you like, but on the other hand I do enjoy watching you struggle

For future reference, getting hit in boss battles _does not count_ if you don't actually lose HP but lose shield instead, whether temporary or permanent, so it's always a good idea to purchase big shields in shops whenever possible, especially if you can do so right before a boss battle.
You may also want to save "refresh" potions (the ones that reroll door rewards and shop inventory) until right before an end-of-level boss. Use it on the boss skull-door to get a bonus room for extra rewards before fighting that boss. It can make you significantly more powerful, especially if you get a really good spell or relic from it, gain money when you have a relic that gives you bonuses for money, or gain max health.
I think the crits do damage to nearby enemies _may_ have had higher value that the electricity between snakes thing at the end. I don't know what your final crit chance was, but I feel like you damage enemies so often that in total the number or crits damaging enemies would have out dps'd the electricity but I'm not 100% sure. Just because there's only 1 electricity between two snakes, but for the crit one both of those snakes are contributing to crits too. Overall I feel like it's possible it could have drastically increased your final DPS but ultimately it would have needed some testing.
I feel like that wand of no source is probably so busted! especially if you can put it in a split salvo build, if the mana drain is split or volleyed or something like that, can you generate net positive mana?! so many possibilities! We need to do a run with that one! Maybe the next meta progression thing you can unlock like increased rarity of spells is going to be increased rarity of wands so we can find some more amazing stuff. I think it's worth it to just farm a bunch of runs, maybe on a stream so that you can get enough of the meta progression things to unlock the next stuff so the videos have everything unlocked in them.

Yes, you absolutely can generate net positive mana with the mana drain. I got mana drain as a spell drop, not with the wand, and it totally works that way. I've also tested it with the training ground or whatever... Here's the problem with the mana drain: Its damage is *very* low. Yes, you can get net positive mana, but it's a little hard to also then have the slots in a wand to then also have damage to be able to use the massive amount of mana. Absolutely doable, but you do need some specific spells to go along with it.
As for the last meta progression: It's mana. Increased max mana and increased mana regen.
Sneks + homing + tracking = super OP believe it or not.
FYI whenever you have snakes, double level 0 homing is better than single level 2 homing. Try it out on various spells and be astounded.

Ok, this is cool and stuff, but have you tried ghost fire? (Considering level 2, since it duplicates every 5 secs it’s “alive”) It can work really well, especially with a bunch of duration and speed, also just a bunch of multi shot and stuff like that. Oh! And I think they also block bullet too

On 2nd wand you could have made spells cheaper instead of 2 mana several times. It would have less dmg on boulders but you already had snakes for dmg. And pillars doesnt care for dmg either so i think cheaper wand is the play on of hand wand
off hand wand had 40% (or some other number, i don't remember exactly) more mana regen
@@imblackmagic1209 i know it had more mana regen. But making spell cost less is more effective.
Lets say he had 8 more mana regen, then if the spell costs 16 mana just 1 50% spell mana reduction is more effective. It's more effective because of spells in built mana regen. There just needs to be good balance. Dev made mana cost spell downside of dmg reduction but we don't care about dmg there
the main problems i have with this game is that
1.) its honestly too easy once your build comes online
2.) its far too easy to force a build to come online
3.) there are combos of spells that are just so much better than anything else that it makes any spells except those worthless
(brilliant fireworks, mouse tracking snakes im looking at you)
the main issue is that all these fall into each other, every screen is just throw out your massive amounts of snakes/black holes/lightning and wait for everything to die.
every spell that doesn't do that, is just a spell to roll into doing that.
seriously, there are 65 spells in this game, 26 damaging and 16 that change HOW they cast, yet 90% of games are going to win with mouse-tracking snakes, or brilliant firework set-ups
Even with wands and such, its just about accomplishing those things better
how i would tweak it is this:
1.)heavily nerf brilliant fireworks(it makes no sense that it doesn't increase mp costs when split increases it by 150%)
2.)nerf the tracking on snakes to bring it in line with the rest of the spells(or lower the hit interval on them)
3.)Change a lot of spells to not be damage comparisons, have them actually do different effects/combos (think how water and poison interacts, or how bullet adds a damage debuff)
4.)rework Duet/serial/echo/penetration/rebound/orbit, currently there is no reason to use any of these, they are expensive and do the same or even less than just not having them)
5.) make relics/curses ACTUALLY change how you play, not just having them basically "add % damage* or "gain x shield", make curses more involving, perhaps with upsides (like the change max hp depending if you took damage that room)

if you use lightning dash with the mouse tracking, you follow the mouse, but if you put it on the end of leg wire, you basically create ball lightning that follows your mouse

Also that curse you took at the end can cause issues with the true final boss as it is not considered a real boss/elite, so it can be doubled. Happened to me :)

Hey the stumps can be destroyed by explosions like arcane blast or any attack that basically is able to hit the ground

Hey hope you see this but i feel like it would be a fun niche build to do a mass poison pillar barrier build. Pillars and poison (and any status effect like slows and freeze) plus the one that makes spells rotate around you. I personally enjoy tanking builds.
Leg Wire + Mouse Pointer item + Lightning run = insane dps, add freezing for even more insane dps!

you cannot levitate over the stomps (i tried in the tutorial). you need a ground damage effect that destroys them
Stumps can be destroyed with shots that explode or roll on the ground.
Some potions can make you fly as well and get that chest

I just learned the most stupidest build ever, ke's head can do over 45 damage if given the right relics. then have the wand that triggers when this wand does at least 45 damage or more, put the tentacles in the trigger, now every time ke's head is doing damage, it summons a tentacle. well that act is considered a spell cast, having another wand with the ability to auto cast can be triggered. and thus I was able to have ke's head constantly summoning a crap ton of tentacles
47:04 you missed out here, I entered the third stage and had the same choice, picked it, had 10 max life, by the time I got to the elite I had 70 shield, and gained basically all of my max life back. For 99HP it is *SUPER BUSTED*.
Gaining 70 Shield for 99 HP is not super busted. You didnt break even. Sure, you only have 1 stage to regain or rather accumulate shields but the 3rd stage is the one with the most enemies by far. First and second stage in total doesnt even come close. All that life you supposedly gained back comes from your other choices.
@@kobisjeruk I ended the run with 70 shield and over 300 max life, also the first and second stage has more enemies than you think. The centipede that shoots bullets when a portion dies and the skeletons that come out of the spike pits are actually multiple enemies in one, I believe each on is 10-12, sometimes more. Each section of their body counts as a single enemy, I just got the same devil deal a couple days ago from the first stage boss, and by the time I got to the third stage I had close to 150 shield and 400 max life.

Sword with the hover modifier or whatever makes it stick around after cast also works. If the Sword is leveled it even reflects the shots for slightly more DPS.
