- The last time I talked with Valerie Bertinelli was 2 years ago, which was a pretty dark time in both of our lives. I can't tell you how JOYOUS it was to reunite in person and see just how much we both have been able to heal since then (after putting in lots of hard work, of course). We had such a meaningful and fun conversation about her new cookbook “Indulge”, how she deals with grief, and how Valerie got to a place where she truly loves herself. I can’t tell you how much I loved this episode and I know you will too. Oh and I promise you that after this interview, you’ll want to order her fantastic cookbook #Indulge. Angels above brought me this video to watch. My mother died in February, and I too have been figuring out the path of grief and am finally giving myself permission to do so. I was blessed to have been able to stop my world and advocate for her care for the three months she was in the hospital and for the four months she lived with us. I have never seen Paolo before but I have been a great admirer of Ms. Bertinelli since One Day at a Time. Paolo great job! I am a new subscriber now.

What a fantastic interview! I too lost my joy for a period of my life and quit doing the things that made me happy. I had no idea how depressed I was until I pushed myself to start making art again, exploring my creative side, 10 years later. I love that she’s talking about this because so many people go through the same thing, rich or poor, famous or not. Great interview and as always, you gave her some beautiful gifts!

I had to jump down a 1/4 on the speed of the video to make it correct. They seem to have sped it up for some reason. Go to Settings then speed back play to the 0.75 and you will enjoy it much much more !!!!!!!!!!!!! And of course I just purchased her latest cookbook, LUV IT !!!!!!!!!
