The Spanish intro gave a different spin on the melody we heard thousands of times, so when the verse came in Tagalog, the sudden familiarity brought us back refreshed to enjoy the song again as if for the first time.
A simple but genius way to intro this song in 2023.

@@mashupsjrpatatas1107 I think the reason why Spanish intro worked was because not so many people understood the words, so we only related to the melody and emotion in the voice, and it gives us a different experience.
I would have loved to hear a Visaya intro though, it will romanticize my mother's native language.
