I just got my Nox 900 - pulled out an 1861 copper yesterday with the 6" coil. I did dig a lot of rosehead and square nails. To help with clearing the hole of these a screwed 3 round rare earth magnets on the end of a plastic tent peg. It is amazing how his simple tool will pull iron out of deep loose soil, mud, water. Saves a lot of time rooting around trying to find something. You can usually feel and hear the click when a nail locks on to a magnet.
Thats a great idea!
I've not taken the 6inch coil of since I tried it love it
I really like the 6in coil on the 900, def great for tight spaces
Agreed!
I have a 6” that came with my Equinox 600. I really like it. I’ve hit a bigger target at 12”. Like it was nothing. I use it in all trashy areas.
Its a nice little coil
That it is. Have fun at dig stock.
Where in NC is it this year.
Near Rocky Mount
A few hours from me
I will be getting a small coil for sure, always a fun and useful upgrade.
It really is!
Well done brother the nox is relly good i like them I use garrett but do like the nox
Thanks my friend. Hope all is well.
In a total of 7 hunts with my new 900 I have pulled 99.22 in mostly clad 2 silver Rosies and 8 wheaties . last trip I didn't dig 1 single pull tab but 12.86 in coins including 3 wheats but 0 silver . I use mainly my 6" coil because of alot of trash and it just works great at this site. I'm glad I chose the 900 over the manticore so far
Its a big improvement over the 800 for sure.
I have the 900, using your coin program with the six-inch coil, I added handle vibration to the nickel segment.
great idea!
I love the 6” I use it exclusively when water detecting or woods
It is great for those conditions for sure.
Can I ask why the 6” is especially good in water? I’m debating about the 700 or 900 and do mostly beach. Thanks
Great video Scott, you do less talking and more hunting and I like that. I've only used my 6" coil on one hunt, it worked out well, found a bunch of coins, however it was at an open field and with the lack of coverage available on the 6"... I intend to hit it again when my 15" arrives... I keep my gloves inside my finds bag so that way I won't forget them... lol Happy Hunting!!
Thanks and yes... putting my gloves in my back would be smart LOL. That 15" will cover very well.
@@MentalMetal The 15x12 should be here in the next couple days, then I just need the snow to get out of here and the temps to rise!! March in Michigan... just have to love it
Warm weather is coming my friend.
Indeed it is... going to be high 40's to low 50's this coming week, so that's promising
Great video!, love the 6" coil, me and my friend just got the 900, but are having problems adjusting it?, please make a video on the 900 on how to set it up and use it!, and how to use the buttons, keep up your great videos.
I'll be rolling back around to the 900 very soon. Thanks!
Cool review thanks!!!!
Thank you!
You can really isolate your Targets with the 6 inch coil……..Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
At the 21:38 minute mark when you had the 90’s signal. I’m pretty sure that when you scraped off the area it was about 10” to the right of the original 90’s target. I watched it several times. You need to go back to that spot.
I see that now, LOL I will. Thanks
Boom let’s go let’s go treasure and adventure 👵🌺🌎✌️🇺🇸❤️🎉
Lets go!
I like the 6 inch coil. But it is slow sweeping to get good coverage with.. Thanks for sharing I will be putting the 6 inch coil on the 700.. got a wheat and yeah I would say working hard for the pennies in the brush.. Peace
Yes agree your coverage is limited but for those tight areas its an excellent choice.
@@MentalMetal Sure is ..100%
Passing up those 40's? Leave those gold rings for me!
Ha we'll get to them eventually. 99% of them are pull tabs at that permission.
@Mental Metal I hear ya...probably more like 99.9%
Thanks vid and info.
Thank you!
I also love the 6 inch coil on my Equinox 800
Unrelated question, what are you using for a finds bag? I like the fact it seems to have lots of space and it's easy to put your pin pointer and hand shovel in!
As of this video I have and old navy gas mask bag that works great. I have another bag that was made for me that will be amazing.
@Mental Metal It's tough to find a decently made bag that isn't too small and holds its shape so you don't have to struggle to get things in and out of it.
Keep you great video's comming‼️
How do stop the ticks from getting all over u in the woods?
Off bug spray. Once I started using that. Never had an issue.
Yep bug spray with Deet will do the trick
Nice video, left a like and an Abo for sure🥰👍
Big thanks
I’m hoping to add the 6” coil to my new Xterra Pro.
Should work just fine.
This test needs to be done at a brook known to have gold.
love you dogs name.
Thanks!
Not having watched the whole video yet. Do the 800 small and after market coils work on the 900?
Yes
This machine hits in the high 90’s so often and when I dig down it turns out to be false signal and if I scan the hole again, I hear absolutely NOTHING IN REGARDS TO ANY SIGNALS AT ALL. The other is that the high 90’s disappears and the vdi numbers are replaced with lower numbers. Never to get that 90’s numbers back again no matter how many times I swing over the alleged target. Sensitivity is moderate never jacked up and everything other setting is factory in
Park 1 mode. It also does it in other modes as well.
I regret getting this machine and should have simply kept my 800 which is a awesome machine.
I would get your machine looked at. Doesn't sound like anything I've experienced w/it.
Same problem hits in the 90s and dig and find nothing
I cant seem to get the 6inch coil to work properly on the 900, only getting a few inches on testing on a gold ring on beach 2, as im always detecting in the sea.....what am i doing wrong?
Naisss Vidio my friend lm from Indonesia 🇮🇩🤝😊
Laik minelab
Greetings thank you for watching.
What frequency was the coil hitting silver and copper ?
Hy bro!
My question…. Deus 2 master or equinox 900 11”+6” coil
Very big dilema for me
If you already had the Nox 800, all the coils will work w/the 900. If you have waterproof headphones for the Nox, then you won't need to buy them for the 900. The WS6 Master, while performs as good as the Deus 2 w/remote, you won't have a speaker, and the WS6 master is not waterproof. While I like the Deus in general, I think you are getting more for your money w/the 900.
Great video! I noticed on several of your test bed coins, the vdi was displaying 96-98 range. Ive noticed that deeper targets will ring up in this range and I have to go more by sound. When I dig the target up, it will be a totally different number. Like a 70 on the vdi zinc penny. Do you have any thoughts on this?
the deeper the targets the VDI is impacted and will change so you should go by sound and listen for those whispers but not go by VDI under those circumstances.
@@MentalMetal Thanks for the reply, I've learned to mostly go by sound because of multiple factors that affect the vdi.
I had the 800 and sold it and bought the 900 but i am having a hard time figuring them vdi numbers
They are spread around a bit. You will get used to them.
Same problem sold the 800 and bought the 900 I get erratic reading and chatter and have to lower the sensitivity way low
Great video but I miss Rocky he rocks!
He has his own channel now www.youtube.com/@lifeofalab
What was your sensitivity at during the test ?
👍👍
Did minelab change the coils on the new machines. Will the nox 800 coil interchangeable with manticore and 900
they do for the 900 but not the Manticore
Also it was funny when watching this video I was able to correctly guess almost every single target (missed the one wheat)
Yeah haha I'll have to go back, someone else saw that too.
I thought the coiltec coils work on nox 900 ?But they won't work on Maticore? Is that correct 🤔?
They will not on the Manticore
What price on them
👍👍👍
Thanks Kenny!
"I have to go where normal people won't" ................ Yup. You are a tick off brother, but aren't we all? 😁
LOL thanks my friend.
Thats when u find good stuff, works for me
