Hello & welcome! I’m so glad you’re here.
    💠 My Story.
When I was an undergrad nutrition student at Boston University, my digestive health issues were at their worst. I remember standing in the grocery store re-reading the label on a box of crackers, filled with overwhelm and confusion. I felt totally lost as to what to eat or how to eat due to my digestive issues. After dozens of doctor appointments, ER visits, and medical tests, my anxiety was at an all-time high and my list of “safe foods” was dwindling every day. When my doctors were at a loss for advice and my condition was not improving - I knew I needed to take my healing into my own hands.
When I finally realized that my mind and gut were connected - everything changed. I prioritized self-care and mindfulness practices in order to pull myself out of constant “fight or flight mode”. Instead of restricting, I started nourishing my gut and living my life again. Much to my surprise, my digestive system responded and began to heal. Through the power of individualized nutrition and lifestyle changes, my health (and my life) transformed.
Fast forward to today - I’m a Gut Health Registered Dietitian and recovered from severe IBS/GERD. My approach to nutrition counseling is rooted in science and built on the foundation that everyone has unique nutrition and lifestyle needs. It’s my mission (and greatest joy) to help you discover your root causes of imbalance, and share with you evidence-based, integrative wellness tools - so you too can heal your gut, repair your relationship with food, and live your absolute best life.

If you are suffering from acid reflux get some sodium alginate. I get mine in capsule form but you can get powder. I take two to three capsules a day. I've been suffering from a chronic cough caused by acid reflux for a couple of years. I've tried it all and this is the only thing that has helped me. Please look it up. I will never be without it.

I found drinking or eating something a bit acid after meals calms down my reflux. it could be something like a few strawberries or diluted apple cider vinegar. also d limonene helped
a lot. Worst things for acid reflux are overeating in one sitting, eating late at night and being sedentary. Gravity helps a lot to push everything down. Take a short walk after meals.

I don’t have any obvious reflux issues, no indigestion, bloating etc, I have too much mucus that I’m coughing up all day. An X-ray before Christmas didn’t show any issue with my lungs, so I’m thinking LPR, but I’m not sure if that’s causing the mucus. Doctor has referred me to some respiratory specialists, ENT etc, but those appointments are likely to be weeks to months away. I’d really like to resolve the mucus issue and get rid of the cough before having to go to those appointments. Any ideas or suggestions on what I could try would be very much appreciated.

Any recommendations for someone who has small hiatal hernia, loose esophageal sphincter, esophagitis 1st degree?
Symptoms are only LPR on daily basis for the last 5 months not crazy things but in general i have strange voice on daily basis. My gastroenterologist who did the endoscopy recommended no surgery because my hiatal hernia is very small but symptoms of LPR are there every day(he says is because of my stress and thinking about it all the time-which is true but i cannot do anything about it because i have it )
I take 1 teaspoon of slippery elm with small portions of tumeric and ginger every morning and dgl chewable 1.5 hours before breakfast, then after 30-45 mins i take my PPI, and then after 30 mins i take gaviscon dual action.
Then after lunch i take my gaviscon dual action. At night i take dgl 30 mins before small dinner and then after 30 mins gaviscon dual again.
I take some vitamins as well during the day, in the morning after breakfast i take magnesium, vitamin d, vitamin c, and l-glutamine before taking the PPI. After lunch time i take B complex before i take my gaviscon.

What healthcare provider is prescribing supplements??? They rather prescribe drugs and you know that. I’m usually impressed with what you have to say but I absolutely do not agree with you on this one. I know you’re now a licensed dietician but please continue to be transparent and honest. The patient ourselves find these supplements not the medical doctors. Maybe a holistic doctor I could see doing this but not a medical doctor. Our healthcare providers will not support none of this.

Also, I completely understand the challenges of the conventional medicine system as I have been through it myself and also worked in the system. That is why I make these videos as a resource :)

I got rid of GERD and IBS almost immediately after going on a keto diet, not to mention that I lost 100 pounds of fat in 12 months. Why take any supplements when you can just change your diet?

I was in Keto diet for a year and NO GERD at all, until lately I started ruining my diet and now my GERD is back 😢

@@user-ro7ol9hd4hWell, you just proved to yourself that GERD is caused by diet and can be healed by a proper diet. I had a bad case of psoriasis and armpit tags that disappeared within 3 months on the keto diet also. The benefits are overwhelming.

How much is the product I don’t like Meds because they are just bandaids 🩹 not addressing the issue which can also be bad cause it causes you to ignore the problem which can further be bad I believe in diet change as a healer and getting gut health together but gerd still is here I’ve done it all I even detox with psyllium husk powder which worked the first time ever using it but after my body adapted now it barely works as much but it still does! I just need other ways I can get rid of this for good! It effects my facial appearance as well which is bottom line for me! ❗️

@@MollyPelletierRD meds have side affects many at least and I usually go the natural way however I just started eating guavas and sour sops and my Gerd symptoms have cleared completely! Since the last comment I made which was surprising I’m always searching praying and experimenting and my Gut have felt the best it’s ever now giving me answers to how I can also help heal others maybe by creating a Guava sour sop supplement to treat others gerd problems!! 😇🌱✨

A natural way to neutralize and get rid of acid reflux is by eating fruits which are alkaline in nature such as red apple delicious and Fuji apples. Try it for a few days to ensure success in treating it. It worked for us, it may work for you also.
