- Lucky customer came in for a bed liner on her average truck. We asked her if we could borrow it for a few weeks and gave it back to her at SEMA 2014 with a 'couple of changes.' LINE-X, Truck Gear by LINE-X and our fearless build partners transformed it into this #beast. Needless to say, she can't wait to get a little mud on the tires! #LINEXProtects.

If I had this done it would be the WHOLE TRUCK.
Had the lower brake (rocker panels) done on my truck, bed and fender flairs. Had the rear bumper, front grill and tool box sprayed also. Going to have the front bumper sprayed and think im going to call it quits lol. Looks good on a white truck. The color combo is pretty cool. Cant think of anything else to spray. If i had it my way i would spray the entire undercarriage so it wont rust.

real important place to spray they totally miss is the underside of the inner fender. the pocket below the tail lights. I know you gotta flip the box over to do this but stones blast this part of the box and makes rust set in quickly. another place to do is under the floor plans and rocker pannels.. again stones fly from the tires and sandblast the underside and the truck quickly rusts out. if I'm gonna spend money to make my truck look toughie want it to last longer too.

I wish that any dealer could. I've asked a couple of local dealer here in Buffalo, and they told me that they couldn't, and that there wasn't anyone else that is close that can...
It would be super awesome if you could narrate or explain what is going on. What level of spray you guys did, what Line X Truck gear is. Timelapse video with crap royalty free music is the laziest way to put a video together and really doesn't explain the process or what is going on. Yay for whatever contest she didn't know she was a part of. Also does it normally take a few weeks to bolt on some parts and spray Line-X if so does Line-X application come with a free rental truck? Does line-x fade with time like the plastic parts that you took off and sprayed? I have more questions than answers here.
Doctor Who from what I've seen on their website, they have five different grades of spray: standard, premium, pro, platinum, xtra. The premium and and platinum are fade resistant and easier to clean.

Introducing the all NEW f150 fx4 superdike edition.
The only dream I've ever had about line-x is it either going out of business, or producing a quality product for the customer. This shop did seem to do a nicer job than I've seen, but I sprayed roughgaurd Bedliner for about 5 years for a dealership, and I can't tell you how many line-x liners we literally just pulled up and prepped correctly and resprayed for the dealership for warranty that were sprayed by line-x before they said enough, and bought a roughgaurd liner system and sprayed them in house. Line-x has a rep for not prepping good and the material they spray is junk. Pretty much just hot rubber. Roughgaurd is polyurea and is far superior to line-x. And it stays put after spraying.....
Ive tried the roughguard on about 18 trucks,personally didnt like the thickness of it as i had to wipe the end of my sraygun more then i would like too while spraying.
Great product for farmers or industrial use but for everyday city trucks i love spraying Gatorhyde.
It would look more proportionate if the stripe was a little wider because of the size of the fender flares.
Wonder if on could do a frame off restoration with Line-x? Spray just the frame. Then the bed etc..

A lot of people complaining but couldn't afford this truck without mommy and daddy's help. They did make this truck ugly with those fender flares and the line-x trimming tho.

Anything that gets stuck on like it is glue, just use some eco-friendly glue remover as Line-X is not affected by chemicals or acids..
I'm guessing all of this was free b.c of the Hella branding of every component installed

My guess would be about 1500$ just for the Line X not counting all the accessories. I recently got quoted 2800 for a whole truck

how much weight would it add if you painted the whole truck? I want to paint my 99 gmc sierra but my friend says it'll add 600lbs

Depends as the compound is liquid and weighs more than dry weight after it is applied, so as Parker said, yeah about that much, depends on thickness and how much coverage.
I spray linex and the 55 gallon drums that it comes in only way 600 lbs. actually a little less. there's no way that we'd use that much to spray a whole truck. maybe 100 lbs and that is probably on the high end. also 60 lbs is kinda like the difference in just a driver in a crew cab truck or having 3 grown men as passengers. so it's really not going to effect fuel economy that much

Look at the 'back' wall, those are vents. as I noticed no spray was going too far outside of the booth if at all.

carter campbell There called projector U bar headlight and they look cool, I have "halo" projectors on my Ram 1500 but the "U" is another lighted designed.
has anyone sprayed line x on their underbody? I want to do it on my Avalanche and i haven't seen any info/videos on that.
That's a bad idea. It will trap moisture and dirt underneath and significantly increase the speed of rust.

Hunt Guy If it traps any moisture at all, it will eventually rust out. It would have to be 100% clean and dry so unless it is straight out of the factory it wouldn't be advisable. Plus too many moving parts, heat, ect.

I hate when Linex is sprayed from a distance for maximum texture. It's okay for a bedliner but anywhere else is ugly. The closer sprayed the less texture.
