Madè ~ Mesangih {Balinese Tradition}

Messangih is a true Bali Island tradition where teenagers turn into men. Mesangih also known as potong Gigi is a symbol that you are truly adult by giving your old souls to our dead ancestors in exchange for a new pure souls. The tradition join by Vvs Madè family And his people in the Villages to witness the ceremony.
Vvs Madè moved to America at 11 with no English skills and had to learn the language on his own for two years.
High school, visa issues, COVID, funds and no refunds from three airlines were the main reasons he couldn't go back home. Vvs Madè and his older brother had to wait 10 years to do the ceremony. Finally, in 2024, at the age of 21, Vvs Madè returned to Bali and participated in the Messangih ceremony, joined by his two youngest cousins {Mahendra and Dewi}
Is been long & heart breaking journey but GOD IS GREAT, ASTUNGKARA
