It's very sad to know that most people in this documentary lived to never see the Nigeria of their dreams. Most have passed on without any changes to this sad story 😢

My love for you has multiple, and thanks for making this documentary. This is a good reminder for all Nigerians. No one else will give us the Nigeria we deserve but ourselves. Hopefully, one day, we can all wake up.

It's shocking to see that nothing has changed....it has rather gotten worse. One wonders if the discovery of oil has been a bane to the Nation. It's unfortunate. Nigerians were not ready to handle the massive wealth that came with Oil...and the theft and corruption continues. But with the end of the oil era on the horizon, Nigeria will one day face the question of their continua existence headlong. Then, only then,....

A beautiful recap of affairs in that era. My only grouse with this is why Fela was never mentioned or interviewed: that was a great oversight by both Onyeka and the producers, yet they used his music in the backdrop.

The complete destruction and degradation and mass looting started around this time. The mass exodus to leave (Japa) Nigeria went into overdrive around 1983/84/85/86/87 and continues to this day. Nothing has changed.

Good thing to note from here is Abuja: thanks to the governments after this footage was done, the capital has become truly befitting of the plan and what Nigeria looked to be among other underdeveloped/3rd world nations. We can agree that in the least, that was money well spent.
