п. умник...
From what I can see, this guy is amazing. Almost everything in his wood shop, be built himself. Very impressive. To say the least. Craftsman like this almost dont exist anylonger.
Dude, there are hundreds of channels that do this same stuff with equipment they built out of wood. You can multiply that with people who don't have channels that do this. Probably hundreds of thousands of people are like this.
Your shop is fantastic! All the homemade jigs, clamps, fences, etc...
The sharpening jig is awesome!

Wow that seems to work really well. A friend spent a fortune getting a hunting knife sharpener but this looks equally good
Pretty relaxing to watch your videos... Love your self made tools! Great content
I'M W/ U ON THAT 1 MY FRIEND 👍🏿 BUT THE MACHINE= THE MAN HIMSELF 😀 4 MAKING/BUILDING ALOT OF HIS TOOL'S N HIS SHOP 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
U gave a new meaning to home made as i know some small factories that have less equipment ,resources, and skill power than u do. Nice job
Not to mention that all of his tools appear to be shop made!
Dude this is awesome. Your workshop is brilliant. I'd love one of those
That looks a very handy jig for making sharp knives. I need one!
That second to last cut with the rolled paper, wow. That is scary sharp! Fantastic work sir!
Just, wow. I've seen $1500 sharpening systems not get close to that level of sharp.
That has to be like 25 or 40 on the sharpness index. I can't express how impressed I am. Really well done.
It's the fixed angle combined with a fixed location for the blade that allows perfect consistency on the sharpening.
It's not so much the concept as the design and work he did to make it that's so impressive.
I made this in an afternoon. I used poly carb plastic scrap in place of the steel knife alignment and scissor clamp. Getting the stainless sharpening rod down to exactly 3/8” took the most time. Try to find a rod that is the exact diameter or a tiny bit smaller. I also made a second rod about 6 inches longer which works better for me. A stop nut on the back of the rod is also helpful. Bottom line is that the design works great and is made for next to nothing cost wise. I then bought stones from Gritomatic for another $80. You will also need a digital angle finder.
I made the device that holds your angle grinder and all I have to say it's been the most used tool used for cutting. Thanks for the ideas and videos you provide for everyone.
I saw that when I watched this video and I have an old angle Grinder that I don't' use that much anymore. I'm going to make one too. I don't have it yet and I already know it's going to be useful.

Just a tip. Only stroke your stone downward then lift and stroke downward again. Very impressive jig!
I was planning to buy a sharpening jig, then I remember the scissors had to be sharpen too.
Then here comes you video, a nice jig for knife and it works for scissors too.
A simple and very useful design. Now I'll DIY instead of buying one.
Thank you for your effort. Just subscribed.
That turned out nice.I should'nt have been such a good off in shop class.Learned more aboutsmoke
Fantastic job !!😉
A drop of 3 and 1 or any oil on metal as your drilling into it works wonders. You drill faster and keeps heat down so bits last longer.
Someone tipped me this years ago so I'm paying it forward.
Outstanding video and your collection of shop made tools and jigs is excellent!
Brother, your jig and tooling game is impeccable! You've earned a new sub.
Excellent job!
Hey Mazay. Great video. thanks for sharing.🍁👍👍
Nicely done!
Hi. Do you use diamond plates or sharpenning stones? And to which grain size do you sharpen before you use the leather? What paste do you use on the leather? Thanks in advance for your answer. By the way I also love the style you do your videos. Great. Thanks a lot for inspiring.
Nicely done! @3:56 is why I’ll never take up metal work as a hobby. The sound of a file going over metal. It disturbs me greatly. Never knew why.
Great. I like your guide
Spectacular work, I am assuming that if the knife holder is at 15 degrees, the bar that holds the whetstone is parallel to the table?
awesome work, thanks for sharing
Excellent 👌 👍👍
Easy to make a homemade copy of an in-use design. Quite another thing to start with a blank sheet of paper. Do you find the Sawing method works better than Out vs In? I did enjoy the video.
I am going to make this. thanks for the vid.
Could you provide a link to those sharpening stones?
I've found some on Aliexpress, but not going very high grit, and definitely not a leather one for final polishing.
On my to do list. What is the plywood material you used? Available in US?
Love ❤❤❤❤❤ your content so much. I wish dearly I had cross your clips way sooner. Your clips are pure GOLD. God bless you and God bless Israel. ❤❤❤❤❤

There is no doubt you can get an edge on any blade! I don't think I could build this cause I don't happen to have a broke printer, I guess I will have to stay with bench grinder. Thanks tho, you did an amazing job!
You can easily but stainless steel rods that size for a few dollars/euros on Amazon
Well done. How are you judging the edge angle?
great video wish i had the resources to make that, a dream sharpener, take care, new subscriber
Muito bom.parabéns
Gracias
It's not about just putting a keen edge on the blade but putting the correct edge for what's being cut and an edge that will last more than 3 cuts.
Просто oxyeннo...
0:01 - 0:04
Those cuts make my traditional stone sharpening look like the work of a novice...
Thanks Mazay
very good idea
Prefect.
Tks for video
I will made one
this is a nice jig 👍
Brilliant jig, just one thing, I dont understand how those plates hold the knife down?
Cool thanks
Amazing construction, congratulations. One thing is not clear, sorry if this is a stupid question: what is the purpose of the vertical plate at the front?
Sharpening scissors. He show it here 14:25
@@sulumbekdolkh4705Thanks. I found out in the meantime.
The diamond plates, the grinding stone and the leather plates all have different thicknesses. So I assume the angle while sharpening hast o be adjusted depending on the tool you use. Do you also do this?
I made it easier - I finalized everything to one thickness. At the same time, the sharpener allows you to adjust the angle due to the threaded stud
Ah, ok. I also thought about the option to bring them all on the same level. But it seems also to be easy to adjust the angle by the threaded stud as seen on TSPROF video. Thanks a lot for your answer.
When you say HOMEMADE, sounds like it´s in my home, man i have no the kiand of equipments like a Workshop
Hi. What is the advantage of tilting the support of the knife as compared as to just positioning the knife completely horizontaly and giving the total angle to the rod?
Your adjustment rod does not have to be as tall.
Beautiful work. What is the piece that came in the little green box called?
They are called Heim joints or spherical rod ends.
hadé pisan euuuy... urang nyieun ah...
Brillante😮
What do you call that part that lets the rod move freely.
With such a set of tools, machines and equipment, is it called your own hands? Funny. This is a real factory.
Specialista 👍
Invidia pura...grande lavoro!
Very impressive and thanks in advance for the plans, just a question and hopefully if not you someone can answer what are the actual things to sharpen the knives called?
Sharpening stones. Those look like Venev brand ones.
I want one!
excellent
I will make it for sure. Very nice sharpener, not too big as others. Thumb up and sub for you. PS: Thanks a lot for free plans.
Is there any particular 📐 angle that the wedge is at ? No one says what degree to cut or set the knife rest
Hi is possible buy in of this sharpener by you ? What’s the grades of stones that you use ?
How do you set the blade angle? Is it the height of the guide on the threaded rod?
That's right - the bottom nut allows you to accurately set the sharpening angle
What did you use for the magnetic-base..?
A plastic magnet? Seems neodymium strong ... or is the strength just a product of its size?
It's a Neodymium magnet Ø20×3 with hole

Yes, I did all this myself. Watch my other videos on the channel - most of the machine tools have drawings so you can repeat
