    Arduino micro vibration motor: In today’s episode you will learn how to use a micro vibration motor with Arduino. The micro vibration motor is also known as a small vibration motor or tiny vibration motor. For the best understanding, a variable resistor will be used to control the vibration motor. by rotating the knob of the variable resistor the vibration can be increased and decreased. In this tutorial, you will know how much voltage is needed for the vibration motor. in this tutorial, you will also learn the vibration motor interfacing with the Arduino. the vibration sensor coding/programming will be done using the Arduino IDE.

    Correct me if I'm wrong but connecting any dc motor such that 1027 vibration motor seems to be a sure way to damage your Arduino I/O pin. That motor needs 120mA starting current and needs 60mA for its operating current. Arduino I/O pin current rating falls within 50mA. For demonstration, it's fine. However, for projects, a relay or transistor circuit to separate the motor from the microcontroller is essential.

      ya during the testing I didn't feel anything but a transistor like 2n2222 can be used to control this small vibration motor.

    Thanks for providing the code . I used the code and repeat it for 4 vibrators and potentiometer and its working well. but now i need to work the vibrator in a wave form . can you please give an idea for doing that?

    I followed this tutorial, purchasing the knob and motor referenced in your description but there was no result. The Yellow indicator light on the Aduino was blinking before uploading the programming and then turned off and now turns on/flashes a bit only when being moved around. Not sure how to troubleshoot this. Is my connection bad? something wrong with the programming? Please give suggestions on how to fix.

    Is there any bigger size micro vibration motor that has the same shape as this one, that can handle about 12V instead?

    • @ElectroniClinic
      @ElectroniClinic  Před 4 lety

      if you can't find the one. you can make a vibration motor by yourself. select any 12v motor and attach an unevern weight with the shaft.

    Hello. Thank you so much for the clear explanation! I really like this project and I would like to know how many vibration motors can I connect to the arduino at max. I plan to power the arduino using the usb cable.
    For this project, I plan to connect as many vibration motors as possibly (4~10) to the arduino, and I want it to work overnight (I want to put the motors in my pillow and bed sheets to help in sleeping) do you think it would be safe to run this overnight? A thing that I can do it let it run for 1 or 2 hours and then automatically shut off. I think this would be better. But do you think it will be safe?
    Thanks in advance!

    with this configuration the arduino board will certainly be damaged.
    To drive one or more vibrating motors it is possible to use an uln 200x which guarantees high output currents

    • @roshnivalder1394
      @roshnivalder1394 Před 3 lety +1

      Yes you are right ,even driving one Motor is going to damage the Uno as every port can only drive loads of 40mA and the motor as the man said is 70mA.

  • @roshnivalder1394
    @roshnivalder1394 Před 3 lety +2

    I was glade to specified the current rating of the DC Motor as 70mA but then connected it directly to Arduino Uno which can only drive up to 40mA of load Current ! , Surly that is not going be good for the Arduino?

    is it possible to make this device vibrate in response to a specific motion?
    Example: Device moves forward and backward in a linear motion, when device "wobbles" left/right off that line, immediate feedback is given by way of vibration.
    Possible?

      Red is positive , Blue is Gnd or Negative but use a driver to run the motor as Arduino can only drive loads up to 40mA and the motor is 70mA, This will damage your Arduino Uno port.
