I'm sure someone else has mentioned it but in Dragon Ball there was a fight where Krillian had to fight someone with a strong stench but the smell didn't effect him. Because he didn't have a nose.

@@housegarrett Yeah, 17 and 18 (Lapis and Lazuli are their human names) were kidnapped by Gero and experimented on. They're humans with cybernetic enhancements.
Gero/Android 20 was just a brain in an android body, but they're human with metal bits added. It's why they're so rebellious and hard to control. Android 19 (fat clown) was seemingly purely mechanical, like 16. That's why he's obedient.
Gero really didn't think that through. Every organic he tampered with rebelled. Because we all know Cell would have killed him if 17 or the crew didn't.

Yeah Princess saw it right, Android 18 - to get it over with- jumped forward and got absorbed. So half-voluntarily.
I'm not sure how many people catch the full of depth of what Krillin says when he's arguing with himself about whether or not to push the button. At the end when he says, "Everyone you know and LOVE is going to die, INCLUDING her." It's so subtle and so well written how Krillin stumbles upon the truth of how he feels. It's one of my all time favorite moments in the show. Krillin is the butt of so much comedy and while we all love it, it's rewarding to see Krillin find love and his courage along with it. Also, congrats on 10k!
14:30 Can we take a moment to appreciate the writing and Vegeta's voice actor? A moment of quiet character growth followed by the incredible UNYIELDING RAGE scream. It's wild that - on top of writing/editing - they all ended up as such incredible voice actors.
17 and 18 ARE humans, just enhanced with technology. How much of them is still flesh and blood is certainly up to debate though.

As a Japanese native, well done Princess. Also GoT is amazing. Goku, if it's fighting related or food he is done with it. Other than that he wasn't really a good dad to Gohan. Poor Gohan. Goten is another story.
@Scorpio Bradley I understand what you are saying but he wasn't. It makes sense to his character, he never really had a family, growing up alone in the woods after Grandpa Gohan died, suffering from being drop on his head as a infant, and his childlike nature. Also his bonding with Gohan was a side effect of training his replacement. Goku (if we are staying true to the Japanese original) only drive in life is to fight and get stronger. He is the start of the Anime trope of bad fathers of great characters.

I still believe that if Krillin(or any Earthling Z-Fighter, for that matter) went into the Time Chamber, they would have been able to match or at least come really close to the Saiyans and Piccolo in power.
Because no matter how far ahead Goku strode along in Dragon Ball(and even early Z), the Earthlings were able to catch up relatively quickly. In every arc where they played a prominent role, the Earthlings would _always_ surpass the Goku of the previous arc without fail; up until the Cell Saga, where Tien, albeit with a super self-destructive attack, was able to output far more damage than even Android Saga SSJ Goku.
And you know what happened in the Cell Saga and beyond? The Earthlings didn't train in the Time Chamber for some unknown reason, and fell behind.
Time chamber Krillin = Super Sapien.

Also Them training in the Hyperbolic time chamber would take a very long time to even come close to the level of the Saiyans. Whom would then past they again by getting a simple Zenkai Boost.

House Garrett lol it was something pointed out in OG dragon ball, Krillin was fighting a persons who’s stench was so horrible that his opponents passed out but when Krillin fought him he was fine because since he didn’t have a nose he could ignore the stench.

Krillin's speech with the detonator here was probably the best thing TFS added to the overall story. Just, the way they played it out made it so much more believable than the original.

This is easily one of my absolute favorite episodes of the cell saga barring a few others and the three part finale
Perfect Cell is a whole different animal from imperfect and semi perfect cell , he is witty , savagely funny and absolutely commands the scene every moment he's shown from here on, also fun fact he's voiced by alucard's voice actor , takahata101 also known as Curtis Arnott.
After the next two episodes I would recommend watching the cell versus videos and the dbza parody of Broly, really funny stuff

Krillin actually doesn't have a nose. I don't think it's explained why. I fucking loved this when I first saw it. Cell's song actually gave me chills. This was when it really started to surpass the original.

Anyone else confused by the solar flare? Unless I am missing a key component about the technique it shouldn't have such a massive effect on people. In the actual show, or the dub I watched at least I can't remember if it was the Saiyan saga or the cell games but someone mentioned to Gohan that it's not about seeing an opponent, something at high speed is hard to keep track of but it's more about sensing the opponent, where they are, etc. So unless there is a part about the technique I am missing it really shouldn't have such a debilitating effect on the Z warriors...or am I just being stupid? :P

TFS avoided to show how 18 was absorbed, which is shown in the original very clearly and, well, certainly that scene shows one thing but suggest another very hentai thing so i am glad they skipped it.
