LYRICS
Ghosts surrounding me, they’re taking shape
I wake and see them standing there
What the hell
(What the hell are you supposed to do)
Are you supposed to do
(When the whole world’s after you)
When the world
(What the hell are you supposed to do)
Is coming after you
(When the whole world’s after you)
What have I done
What have I become
Standing six feet deep
Am I the only one
Save
Save yourself
It’s killing me to have to say
You know this is the only way
Save
Save yourself
There’s nothing left to say or do
You know I’ll be the ghost that’s haunting you
Apparition read me my last rites
Carry me into the grave
Grave
What the hell
(What the hell are you supposed to do)
Are you supposed to do
(When the whole world’s after you)
When the world
(What the hell are you supposed to do)
Is coming after you
(When the whole world’s after you)
What have I done
What have I become
Standing six feet deep
Am I the only one
Save
Save yourself
It’s killing me to have to say
You know this is the only way
Save
Save yourself
There’s nothing left to say or do
You know I’ll be the ghost that’s haunting you
The ghost that’s haunting you
Save
Save yourself
It’s killing me to have to say
You know this is the only way
Save
Save yourself
There’s nothing left to say or do
You know I’ll be the ghost that’s haunting you - Hudba
Goddamn there's nothing like the bliss of listening to good metal with clean vocals.
Trivium is a good example, also the last Tremonti album is great IMO. Melodic but heavy :D
+saidoterodiseno That it is have you listened to There new one?
Yeah, Dust is pure brutal riffs and awesome vocals.
+saidoterodiseno That it is
Oh man, I love Tremonti. All I Was is one of my favourite albums period. Dust is awesome too. Heavy, yet melodic.
I dont why everyone is hating on this album, i personally love it
Because ItS nOt As HeAvY aS tHe OtHeR aLbUmS
Because it's generic and uninspired
Yo lo amo
+1
I just don't like Silence in the Snow and a second song, but that one I really don't remember the name. Most of the album is pretty good, not their best though
Y'know, after actually giving this album a try and not relying on others' opinions, I can say for sure that this album is a welcome addition to Trivium's discography. That's coming from a fan of Shogun as well.
yah, each album is kind of its own feel....have yet to be disappointed
Andy Stojek same i've never been disappointed been a fan since Ember to Inferno. Fucking great band one of my all time favourites.
This album was my intro to Trivium. And it introduced me to everything Trivium. So I love it, and every other song as well. 🤙
matt new vocals are badass.
+Killua Zoldyck imagine them combining them with screaming again, what a blast :D
let the screaming with corey.
+Killua Zoldyck no
+Mel Avalos yes
+Killua Zoldyck Some of the vocals contributed from the bassist Paolo as you can see in Until the World goes cold. Not saying it's bad, but I loved the old Trivium. Trying to adjust. Hope everyone loves them as much as I do. :)
I really like the new album. Yes, it's different from their other records, but I don't want to listen to the same thing all the time. I love being able to hear a track and tell musically from which album it originated.
It's been a real pleasure watching metal evolve from the late seventies when I was 10 years old to the present day. I'm the dad in the car next to you blasting Trivium, The Sword, AIC, Slipknot, Parkway Drive, and KSE in the car while the homeschooled four and seven year old kids thrash around like they're at a concert.
Metal has soul, feeling, meaning. It hurts, replenishes, comforts, encourages, reminds. It heightens our sense and takes us to place we wish we were, while all at once being able to transport us away from somewhere we'd prefer not to be. Metal is a magical music. That's why I have been a metal fan my whole life, and will be long after I hit 50 in three years.
Funny story. I took a client out for lunch a couple of weeks back. He's a Mayor in a small town close to where I live and have my office. We're going out for a nice lunch. I'm in a suit, as is he. We get in the car, I press the shiny little silver button while continuing the conversation with Mr. Mayor. Without realizing that I had forgotten to turn the music down, here comes Trivium blasting Shogun at 33 volume. After a startled look, he burst into laughter. I apologized, he patted me on the shoulder, and we had a good laugh over it. Later that day, we closed the deal.
Thanks, Matt and Corey. Great sales tool.
Vaughn Blaylock beautiful words and an awesome depiction of what metal really is. I'm not the biggest fan of this new album but its been awesome watching Matt develop in to what he is now. shogun was and still is by far my favorite album.
Whatever Trivium's do, they"ll never lose the fans. Because fans are there to support the band and spread the world about them. In other words, who leaves them aren't the fans and the way to exit is widely open. For me, supporting the band you love is would be the greatest feeling for them and make them continue making music.
Wtf if they don't like this new album that's doesn't mean there not fans anymore the reason you give them great heavy albums then this which is totally the opposite of the rest of there catalogue
+Ancient Mariner the true fans will support the band even if they dont like their new album
I don't really like anything before ascendancy, I don't like in waves as much as this and haven't got to listen to vengeance falls properly still. You don't have to like everything and listen to everything to be a true fan you morons.
It's being honest, if someone doesn't like something they're entitle to say so but shouldn't be disregarded as a real fan because of that.
+Stephen Jessop yea man well said
+Stephen Jessop yeah i agree with you but if i didn't like the album i'll just say so, i won't insult the band bc i didn't like their new album .. i'll support them
The guitar lead under the chorus sounds like it would be on Shogun. So good.
Shai Hulud)
IMO this is the song with the most common and appreciable Lyrics, i like that.
Matt has done a great job for the entire album, Silence In The Snow sounds different from the other Trivium releases but still sounds a great album.
I was a hater before the release, but now...now I think that this album is the thing that the metal scene has always needed ;)
stop crying like "trivium ended with shogun" they're creative and absolutely beyond most of the modern bands. they just keep creating new songs when overrated ones are rotting. new vocals and style is also great I can't understand why you guys don't appreciate what they do
So true. Can't find a Metalcore band like them that improved that much. But tbh I couldn't really stand In Waves and Vengeance Falls, because they didn't have the energy, but this one totally blew me away, and after that they really reached went over the top with Shogun with The Sin and The Sentence, these two are my favorite albums of them
they have returned the heavy metal vibe which was long gone, and gave it a new image with modern style and modern production
and Heafy's clean vocal abilities have improved greatly
"BUT HE DOESNT SCREAM ANYMORE"
so what
"THEY HAVE SOLD OUT"
It's not always selling out when you change your style a bit.
If they have gone pop like "that one band" that would be selling out
or if they started sounding like some generic nu metal or radio rock, that, my friend is selling out
And thats all about that.
Didnt end with Shogun because they created two more great albums after this garbage one.
Trivium is an awesome band...can't even name a favourite song or album because they are all equally great
I love trivium... i envy on how easy it is to change their sound, and still be excellent musicians. Matt has also improved his guitar capabilites, and his vocals over time. much better then other bands. if you truly love the band you'll support their different styles of music!!!!
In my opinion its a awesome album. Fuck people who says "old trivium was better" "Trivium has ended on shogun"
+Messe Noire Trivium died on The Crusade. Get it right.
Nah, Trivium never died. It still alive man
Good Trivium died*
No...
+Messe Noire TRUE \m/
Honestly I love this whole album. I love all of trivium (excpet some of ember to inferno) but this is awesome. It shows matt can actually sing. And the solos are more melodic and less shred which I like.
+Connor Deal - Kinda my thoughts as well. I like almost all of their stuff. Shogun is a masterpiece, and will forever be one of my favorite albums. This is not terrible, at all.
+Connor Deal I aree completely man the melodic aspect of this band has really increase my admiration for this band this is their best album to date although i really enjoy all of them this albums is so enjoyable one of my favorite albums to listen to currently out my very diverse taste of music
Im running from the enemy insideeee.. Oh shit wrong song
Oh yeah Dream Theater is awesome
@MIAN BM it's a standard backbeat tho
That lead guitar in the chorus!
The only thing you can say with a song of Trivium... he will surely good !
That chorus is so good. Angelic vocals, check, badass guitar riff, check, drums that pound into your soul, check.
I always think that if they ever made a Brutal Legend sequel, they have to put a lot of Trivium in the soundtrack. Their songs perfectly fit that game.
My favorite track from this album so far. Trivium for life!
Trivium is a Awesome metal band my friend
its songs like this that make Trivium my favorite band. this song is so intense and deep. gets me amped but then makes me nearly tear up at the same time. love it!!
best song of the album for sure , along with the darkness of my mind
Mutilasi jelangkung Blind leading the blind silence in the snow dead and gone rise above the tides the ghost that’s haunting you and until the world goes cold are the albums best song’s.
Eh ada mutilasi jelankung lagi
So impressed by the vocals and the music.
this is how a band should evolve musically. love trivium, this could be my favourite trivium album, matts voice is just amazing!!!
TRIVIUM! Never once have I ever been disappointed with your production! Every song/album you guys have released, i have bowed down too. This new approach towards with the metal genre will make you guys legendary. I have been listening since the beginning! You've done nothing but built up your talents, every album is a step forward. ITS GREAT! I can hear every new little thing you guys do, every new guitar "trick" and extra couple drum kicks, the bass BEAUTIFUL! Nothing but Perfection from these guys. Then you have the Vocals that just touches the song like a beautiful angel was born into the song!
This album is among the best albums of Trivium.💯👌🏻
Dayum, Matt's Vocals on this song are some of his best i have ever heard, if stuff like this is going to be their permanent style, i'm not gonna complain
7 Masterpieces. Thanks Trivium for this Albums you'Ve gaved us
One of my favorite tracks from this album!!!!
best song in the album.... and the album is full of bangers
Just feel the energy this piece permeates people, pure power🤘👹🔥💯
Corey and matt have really outdone themselves on this album!
True trivium fans would love every album!!
love the reff, matt's vocal really gets improve a lot in this song
So atmospheric and heavy with such beautiful melody!
out of this world!!! Yet another success!
Amazing song :D Love the guitar solo and chorus
On the whole I find "The Sin and The Sentence" to be a far superior album, but this song is gold.
yeah, this album is mediocre but still a lot of good songs. Shogun, In waves, Sin and the sentence
El intro es perfecto, una letra sólida, gracias Trivium GRAN ÁLBUM lml
Dang. I stopped listening to Trivium after In Waves, I just couldn't get in to their new stuff. No hash feelings towards them I grew up listening to them so I want genuinely them to succeed but I actually really like this song 🤔
the problem with trivium is that they write amazing riffs that make me feel equally amazing but i feel that they don't incorporate them as well as they should but its trivium that hit me right in the feels with there music so i can't stop listening
this song has take part on some serious decisions!thank god i won!there is a bond with me and this song
This album grows on you!
I love this song so much!
this and blind leading the blind are the best songs on the album. I'm with the consensus that Trivium should be more thrash though... you could lay some killer old style tracks with his vocals and the six strings
I don't love the whole album, but this song was really nice. It, along with four or five others from the album, will definitely find a spot on my regular playlist. I love the Shogun-esque counter-melody riffs during the chorus. This track comes pretty close to the overall greatness of Shogun, and surpasses it in the vocals department.
my new favorite band, these guys are totally badass
most underrated song!!
AWESOME! AS ALWAYS, TRIVIUM ROCKS!
I like this new album. But yet I've liked everything they've done so far. They haven't really changed their style like many other bands have. I remember listening to their first cd and being like why haven't I heard of these guys before. Would love to see these guys live at some point. Hopefully they'll come through Oklahoma City one of these days.
See them if you get the chance. Also tell your friends & people you care about. This band will thank you for it.
I'm digging this album so far
a nice breath of fresh air
I love this album because it relates to what I have been through in life ❤
My favorite
This song is so awesome 🤟🏻🤟🏻🔥🔥
yeah!! Trivium is awesome
I love this song!
AMAZING song. It is a timeless classic. It would have sounded great 30 years ago, and it will sound great 30 years from now. Fantastic vocals from Matt. This album really is a vocal showcase for one of the best SINGERS in Hard Rock and Heavy Metal. His singing voice is truly something special. Hopefully we hear a lot more of it on their next album. (In other words, don't waste it on screaming - keep the screaming to a minimum if you feel the need to use any screaming at all, Matt. You are a great singer. Keep it up!)
Masterpiece
This is such a fun song tp play for guitar. Solo and all.
AMAZING!
great song
i saw them play live on may 11th at the hampton beach, nh. it was a pretty great show.
Wow, Trivium like always - awesome !
best song form this Album
Best workout song of all time 🔥
This album is a masterpiece! Can't wait for another one, maybe something like a mix between Crusade and this album?
I’m the different, this is the best album trivium has ever made.
Ohhh this is my fav song from this great Epic Heavy/Metalcore album 😎👌
whenever i listen to their albums, I listen to it as different concept for each one. I judge them on their own sound without comparing it to other albums. other than crusade I am fan of all their albums. Try listening to it as if it were anew band you just found then maybe you will like it too.
I love this song
The Best! Note Of Trivium 100! (Brazeeeeel Porra!)
Why does this song make me think of 80's horror movies lol i love this song
I love this álbum
I thought everyone was aware that Matt blew his voice some time before this album so they had to take a new road for a while
So ive been a fan since before matt was vocalist. I loved every album. Shogun was their best, i hated in waves. It grew on me. I hated vengeance falls. It grew on me. And i absolutely hated silence in the snow. I still dont like the vocal direction but it still grew on me like crazy. Keep it up boys. Do what you guys do best :) will always support. You guys got me into music as a whole today ❤
Absolutely love this song. ..really starting to get into this band.
If you're getting into this band, I recommend you listen to their older music. Their new stuff is great too.
Will definitely do so....
great song! some vocal part reminded me three days grays - take me under
Excelente canción!
best song silence in the snow by far
i used to like until the world goes cold but the solos are too depressing for me and the lyrics are too sad
If ya don't like certain albums, I don't think you like Trivium in general. I have yet to hear anything from them that I don't like. Trivium has been my favorite band for too damn long. Everything they release is amazing
wow!
I bought this album recently and I've only liked 2 songs off the record, numbers been increased!!
Easily my favorite from the album. Kinda reminds me of No Way To Heal which was a bright spot for Vengeance Falls, funny they both fall on the 4th track. To me they both exemplify the best of Trivium's transition to a different sound.
Very good song .
That intro is so Van Halen. I love it.
Such a good song mate
Legends
Great song sounds somewhere new metal and metalcore.....
Saaave, save yourself
Amazing
Estaría muy bien que sacarán un vídeo con esta canción, está bien sonada esa rola ee Trivium Trivium ☝️
BEST!!!
They still have melodic stuff, i appreciate that \
n//
This is the first time for me listening to trivium. first song. ivan moody brought me here. Being a huge Avenged Sevenfold fan, this is sounding really good!
I really get the riffs and drums apart the vocals... sound great
I don't know if I like or hate this album. very special album.
This year trivium brought us something more melodic than they used to, but the change sounded awsome, unlike the other bands those sound shit whenever they change. Which is something interesting to analise,.. when one remains true to himself, then it's all right to change
No Saint touring with Dream Theater must have had an impact on them. I saw Trivium open for DT with the older material, and open with Arch Enemy with some newer stuff and it was like seeing a different band! BTW I loved both shows. 😄
BEST ONE!!!!!!
Lol your profile pic is absolutely hilarious
The dog in your pic looks like it's having a hard time deciding which song is the best one off this album
Fuck yeah, my favorite!
Having had a few years to sit on this album now, I've become a really big fan of it. It feels like the first time Trivium truly broke free of the Metallica comparisons. This album is for sure their most commercial, but there are so many songs on this album that would have been singles on other albums. The title track, Until the World Goes Cold, Dead and Gone, Blind Leading the Blind, and, of course, this song right here, probably my pick of the litter. It's a long album at 13 songs, and not only do they not repeat themselves, very few of them are what I would consider filler, which is really, really impressive for a sixth studio album taking a more commercial turn.
powerful
