  • How To Make A Pirate Hat out of EVA Foam! Perfect for your DIY Halloween, Pirate, Bloodborne, Highway Man or custom cosplay and I have a Free PDF Pattern available on my website! In this video I go over all of the steps it takes to assemble and then paint my Tricorn Pirate Hat. With Halloween right around the corner this is a great project for you or your family. The PDF can easily be scaled or manipulated to make a bunch of different custom hats. I also teach the hand painting techniques of making eva foam look like leather! So have fun and be sure to tag me so I can see your creations.

    To properly print the template open the PDF in Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader and click "poster" in the page size tab. This will scale the pattern properly over several sheets of paper regardless of your paper size.

    Love this! I am making it for my husbands Halloween costume. Your video says you can make this hat for around $5, I suppose you can if you already have all the supplies but it's pretty pricey when you don't have any of the supplies. I am still going to make it though since it's WAY better than anything I have seen for purchase online.

    • @SKSProps
      @SKSProps  Před 2 lety +1

    Why do you use cement sometimes but super glue others?

      Most of the time I prefer superglue because it dries faster and adding additional heat won’t weaken the bond. I use contact cement if it is a large or very heavy wear area

    I would like to use this pattern to make my son a hat as he's obsessed with Jack Sparrow. However, my printer does not have a poster option. What are the dimensions of the poster option your reference in the video? Thanks!

      You need to follow the directions on my site and open the pdf in adobe acrobat or adobe reader and click poster in the page size area that scales it properly over several sheets regardless of your paper size

    How would I translate this to leather? Such as attaching the top to the brim with stitching?
