@@alexandrahood8579the sponges on the tip can't be used on multiple different clients, it csb be unsanitary even on one face
@@chaoticangelic you don't need to apply the product directly via the sponge, though. Apply the product from the sponge to a clean "mini-palette" and then just use an extra sponge or brush to apply the concealer on the client's face. Just like you would do with lipstick or lipgloss😐
thing is it won’t come out if it’s a sponge cause it’s all soaked up into the sponge
You can just remove the sponge and apply the product on a mixing palette before applying on the client 🤷🏻♀️

Actually, the original is better for one main reason: you get to use even the last drop that's inside. All you have to do is remove the sponge applicator and then twist it to have a bit of product coming out. Then use your finger and a small applicator to apply. The twist thing ensures that you get all the product inside. If you put it in a typical concealer container, there will be a lot of it trapped inside that you can't get out.

The original packaging is low quality and leaks everywhere. I used to use it and it was a real nightmare. This person is making it leak free.
I Don't understand the logic that the age rewind concealer has a sponge and can have bacteria but the other tube also has a sponge applicator so what's the point of people saying its unhygienic then in that case all concealers are because they all have a sponge after all
The sponge on the og packaging has a bigger exposed surface area so more bacteria will grow on it and it’s not IN the concealer while the sponge on the new applicator is not exposed to surrounding air when not inuse
@Cholereads it's still a sponge though wouldn't it be easier to just remove the sponge from the og and just twist and use it just like that without any sponge at all instead of doing so much effort

I bought one of those and the store had sold me a defective one because the concealer oozed below the sponge and onto the sides of the container. The sales associate let me get a replacement for it. but when she opened and tested the replacement in the store, the replacement had the same defect. She told me i cant get another one although the replacement was also broken. Mind you, i didnt even touch the replacement bottle before she figured out the replacement bottle had the identical defect as the original defective bottle. I had to go home with the defective replacement. 😡 Never bought another Maybelline product after that.
Mine did almost same, plus you had to turn it hard in opposite direction it instructs to be turned. I returned it, same ordeal she said, oh well you can use a brush. At least it comes out and walked off. Anything over 10$, I expect to work! Enjoy your night- 🌹

if hygiene is ur concern, just take the sponge off from the maybelline concealer. it has the better bottle mechanism. less product waste.
I remember not having money to get a new one of those and I broke mine open with a rock to use the rest inside 💀

I love the concealer liquid in these; despise the sponge applicator. My sponge was actually moldy after I hadn’t used it for, mainly health issues..maybe about 6 weeks. Ordered a new one, emptied it like this in a tiny jar I had. I’m older and only wear makeup for a few appointments a month.

They were new. The things being “repaired” were actually those empty ones.
The sponge applicator on this concealer is what makes it so good! I wouldn’t use those cheap tubes. Plus they will stay fresher in the original tube. 🤦🏻♀️ never heard it’s it’s not broken, don’t fix it’😂

I saw in a makeup channel that the sponge of the concealer creates bacteria, so I’m assuming this is the reason for the repackaging.

I like the sponge , the stick also has spongy end so any version can get bacteria but u can clean either version by spraying alcohol on them in a towl ot tissue to squeeze them dry n clean of left over foundation. Hers might be more smaller corners or dot friendly.

The sponge soaks up too much product, when the product itself is amazing. So i always removed the sponge. I got higher coverage this way

That concealler's sponge absorbs much product. I also use it without it's sponge.
Repair means to fix something broken or damaged. It does not mean to damage or break something perfect…

I use this concealer and it literally uses every drop i take the sponge off lots of makeup gets trapped in there but it last longer than any other concealer or foundation

i think they just like playing around with makeup as a hobby and just record the process for fun. cuz you're right, it's not always makeup repair.

If your wondering why people do this it’s because that concealer is SOOO MESSY! The sponge when you twist the concealer out it gets all over the lid and it’s uneven where the concealer is, the concealer is great coverage, if you get this REPAIR IT LIKE THISS

If you want to contaminate your concealer then go right ahead with this madness. The concealer in the bottle of the old Mach’s is my is never contaminated with a doe foot like in the second bottle. The first bottle is way more hygienic.
Good. I hate the original packaging. The huge sponge just grosses me out and alot of the product gets stuck in the sponge.

That bottle was good for the product because as you can see while pouring it there was zero wastage, the new bottle was completely unnecessary and once you finish using it the product stuck on the wall of the container is gonna get wasted🥲
