Would the odds of rolling twice the same shop at tier 2 be 1/18 * 1/18 * 1/18 which is a probability of 1/5832? seems like a really low probability
No, there are 20 pets on t2 right?
So it would be 1/20*1/20*1/20=1/8000
Edit: ok, I’m wrong and you are correct. I didn’t know that the weekly pack had less pets then custom packs.

The problem with SAP is that every video I see with a win and every win I get relies on at least one big luck moment and/or many small ones. Strategy only works when you identify some meta build for that pack or weekly. Then it comes down to luck also, at least sometimes. Maybe I should stick to chess, but I hate constantly losing due to random chance.
Nah, I thought the same when I first started. I thought it was a childish game of chance. This takes some skill, future planning, creativity, and yes, chance. I played the turtle pack for months before I ever tried the weekly once. Turtle pack helps you learn builds and cohesive pets. It's frustrating, but so much fun when you get 10 wins.
@@NeauxRegard I’ve been playing for a year. Some weeklies I can get 10+ wins, some I can’t get a win at all, even when I follow strategies that work for other SAP creators. I just find it frustrating consistently getting close to 10 trophies but stalling out because the random pet selection doesn’t work out for me.
Correct me if I am wrong.
I did some calculations about the chance of getting a double roll, and got about 1 in 34.012.224.
What I did was multiply how many possible results in each slot when you reroll the pets.
Considering the double roll happened with tier 1 and 2 unlocked, and that we have 9 pets in each tier, then we have chance of 1/18 for rolling one specific pet for the first time in one slot (since we have 18 possible outcomes and only 1 desired outcome for one slot). Considering we have 6 slots (three from the first roll and more three from the second roll) we will have 18^6 possible outcomes, which results in 34.012.224 possible outcomes, and since we only want one of them, we have a chance of 1/34012224 to happen.
English is not my first language, so I apologize for any mistakes
Edit: My mistake, it's not exactly 18^6. The odds of that happening would be much lower considering that the first roll doesn't matter, but only the second roll. So when he rolls for the first time, the pets he will get won't matter, therefore the odds of that happen would be 1 in 18^3, in my calculations I didn't realized it initially, but 1/18^6 is the chance of getting especific pets on the first roll and then getting these same pets again, which is wrong considering the only roll that matters is the second roll. In other words, if you want to know the chance of a double roll happening, it would be 1/18^3, but if you want to know the chance of a double happening with specific pets you will have 1/18^6 which is not the case here
Wouldn’t you only need to calculate the reroll’s odds and not the initial roll? So it would be only 18^3 power?
@@ryansonnack885 Yeah, a few magnitudes off with 18^6. If you wanted to replicate the exact pets that were doubled in the video it'd be a good 34 million rolls, but just getting the same pets again in the next roll would have been 1 in 5832 odds(18^3).

Wat? It happens to me all the time, rolling the same pets on the shop. Guess I'm just unlucky D: The odds are something around 1/180 I think, my math could be wrong tho. Sure, it depends on which tier and what frozen slots you have, those odds were for turn 3, when it happened to you.
You are right it’s not as rare as I may have made it sound! Think I was a little taken back haha! As you said it’s was turn 3 so early days in the run. It just doesn’t happen that often.
I find it especially funny when I have one frozen pet and the other two just swap positions after a roll. 😅
@@Hapsno, he’s wrong. It’s a 1/18*1/18*1/18 chance, cuz there are 18 different pets. A roll has repeation and the order matters. So it would be 1/5832.
@@jchagaslawe are talking about nothing being frozen though…
If I’m not mistaken, there’s about a 50/50 either you double roll or you don’t. Correct me if wrong
