I don't know of another band that loves their fans enough to write love songs to them! "Smile", "Memorable" and "About Us" are all songs directed to their fans. "Endless Story" is another excellent slower song from these amazing ladies!

Memorable is in the vein of other great mid-tempo Band-Maid songs like Daydreaming, Anemone, About Us, Endless Story, PAGE, Wonderland, Awkward, Start Over, Mirage, At the Drop of a Hat and Smile. I’m so touched that their time in the States inspired the sentiment of Memorable. Kanami actually wrote the song on their touring bus! Thx, Grandad!

Band-Maid is one of the FEW rock bands currently performing that can "melt your face" at any turn and then "melt your heart" with their absolutely beautiful rock ballad. Simply, they are the best. I'm a Maidiac and damned proud of it!

As far as speaking and understanding English is concerned, Miku (rhythm) is the most capable, Saiki (vocals) knows more than she lets on and Kanami (lead) is getting pretty good now as well. Those 3 are definitely studying hard to improve their English I feel. Misa and Akane seem to be happy just with the bare minimum I think. Their new single 'Bestie' a collab with Mike Einziger of Incubus was released a few days ago and is entirely in English, the first time that Miku has written lyrics entirely in English and they are superb.

Band-Maid members are not fluent in English, yet they try to communicate in their lyrics. They are, of course, more comfortable in conversing in Japanese. They have recently released on their CZcams channel another slower tempo "prog/pop" song. The song, a collaboration with Mike Einzinger of the rock band Incubus, is titled "Besties". Mike composed the music and with some other input, gave it to the Maids to record using their awesome talent. Miku wrote the lyrics entirely in English. Personally, since Miku is a lot more subtle and circumspect (being Japanese) in her lyrics probably dumb-it-down while write the lyrics for an American audience. It is a beautiful and heartfelt tribute to her bandmates, who have become "besties" from their ten plus years together. I sincerely hope this song after its release gets serous airplay on American and British rock radio. Once you hear the song a few times, it becomes an earworm that you can't get out of your head. So be careful.

This one of their love songs to their fans. About Us is the other one. Daydreaming is more of a rock ballad which sounds like what you are looking for.
Kanami (lead guitarist, chief composer) wrote this while they were on tour in 2022 in the US. Miku Kobato, the one walking in the desert, and the lead singer Saiki, wrote the lyrics The concert part of the video is from the Jan 2023 performance at Tokyo Garden Theatre. The outdoor shots are from Lancaster, CA north of LA in the Mojave desert. They were the opening act for the Japanese super-group, The Last Rockstars, in NYC and LA in Feb 2023 and there was long time gap between the NYC and LA shows, so they shot the video while they were waiting in LA.
None of them speak English fluently though they have been learning. And more of their posts on X are in English. They also talk more to the concert crowd now in English but heavily rely on Google translate. Their latest song "Bestie". co-written with Mike Einziger of Incbus, has all English lyrics.

The members of Band-Maid have varying English speaking abilities. Miku, Kanami, and Saiki are good enough with English to get by in conversation, and Miku is quite good at writing lyrics in English as well (Saiki can do this to some extent too). They're all working on becoming better at speaking English.
