I'm finding the top on that first guitar to look like tiger stripes. If you ever get a chance to check out or buy a Melancon made Telecaster or for that matter any Melancon made guitar you won't be disappointing with it. Ive got a Fender American Special that I did my own set up on but I tried the Melancon model at a guys house I was buying a case at. Now I love the heck out my Telecaster but the Melancon in every aspect didn't feel like a Telecaster. It was probably the finest guitar I've ever played . It's a boutique guitar and the luthiere made most of his guitars by order. And many were for prominent musicians. The guy who owns the one I tried was the best friend of the guitars maker as he passed away. The way he got his hands on the guitar was that some luthiers believe it's easier to build two guitars at the same time than just building one. He built the guitar , can't remember who for, but the person went to pick it up an saw another one that he liked better that was from another build. He still willingly payed the paid open delivery price . And the guitar eventually was bought by the guy I met.
Those bad boys are near impossible to find nowadays. I hade one of the US made gold top double cuts in the late 90s. It was amazing. I wish I didn't have to sell it all those years ago.

I'm pretty sure the exact serial number was 286, and the price was $1200. Other than that Standard, there was also a gorgeous deep green quilted double cut away for $850, I think that model was called a Special.
@@ZombiedustXXX Beautiful memory, I'm sure. Mine was also a standard. I bought it, I believe, in 99. It was a gold top and I got it for I think 650 USD. There was a tiny little spot no bigger around than a matchstick where the paint had been buffed through before the clear coat was applied. That was it's only flaw. American made perfection at a massive discount. I wasn't about to complain about a minor finish flaw that was barely visible unless you knew where it was. I really regret selling it but rent was due, I had a wife kids, and was broke. It was the only thing of value I had at the time so I didn't have much choice but sell it. Still chaps my ass to this day.
Also, i normally do gun stocks , but all of those dents and scratches can be fixed. Put small drops of water at all the spots use a washrag and then use an iron steam setting. That will swell the wood out past the normal finish, and u will be able to sand lightly to make it even.
it works, just after you sand (i recommend wet sanding), just clean and polish the finish and it should be perfect, but the key is to sand LIGHTLY with VERY fine sandpaper. even steel wool maybe.

That Les Paul Deluxe at the beginning is beautiful! The light green SG Bohemian all day long! The dark green one almost looks black unless you get it in the light
You mentioned a seller who has arthritis. I started playing again at 55 to help my arthritis in my hands. Have to keep the fingers moving, it’s worked better than any medication.

I feel like I would take all the chrome bits left on the Silent Siren and have them done up in white powder coat, including the pickup covers - powder coating shops are pretty common now and it's actually less time and cheaper to powder coat a part than paint it by hand with liquid.

This top is exactly like my 1980 Heritage Elite. I used it on the road for years. Jay Black dropped a Floyd Rose in it about 1983 - that’s the crazy things we did back then. I sold it because the neck was never right on the treble side up close to the body. It always had wavy warped spots. I wonder what happened to that guitar after I traded it in the Midwest….
10:14 i kinda like the white on white on white looks. and certain white guitars with offwhite (depending). a good white design can just look so cool. (i only have one white guitar right now. it's one of those transparent white teles. i looked for a while to find one on reverb where you could really see the grain through the paint. oh and technically my flying V that is half white half black. lol)
The 85' LP Deluxe is schweet , I normally dont like tomato soup in a burst yet that one is beautiful , I would give mini humbuckers a go for sure ! Both Green Bohemians are cool , I dont think I could choose one over the other...no wait , I could , I like the lighter one , yet I still love the darker one...Oi !...Thanks Trogly !
I have to say, seeing what you are charging for the little Wayne (whoever that is) guitar, I’m a bit apprehensive with purchasing something from the website. It’s a $500-$700 guitar and you are asking 3k… I’m a bit perplexed honestly.
It's not just your averaged "smashed" guitar. Lil Wayne is a bit of a meme in the guitar world and an icon in Rap music. It was smashed on stage at a BIG name concert. It isn't a piece "everyone" will get

Green is my favorite color. I prefer darker greens and that sg looked really good. If I catch it at the right time, one day I’d like to add a dark green lp standard to my collection

That 80’s deluxe is beautiful. But I am not a fan of mini humbuckers at all. Had a Firebird and I loved the way it looked but the mini’s were extremely underwhelming for what I was looking to use it for.

I dont know what it is with Gibson and them ugly brown covers on back id rather see aged cream covers. Good thing about necks with a natural finish is like on Fenders if you replace the tuners you can easily fill them holes and its barely noticeable.

I've done a similar thing with a soldering iron and a wet cloth in the past🙂

The Darker Green SG with the silhouette of the lady in the pickguard is the best to get.
The watermelon 54/56 double cut would look great in that green case.

I much prefer the darker green SG, It gives like a transparent British Racing Green vibes whereas the other one is a bit too swampy
