    Thank you for the review. No problem at all for the German accent :) On the Seres 3 and the Chinese strategy, though, I find it quite odd to try to enter the European market with such a relatively high price for a car, which, all other things put aside, offers relatively low energy efficiency and no options on battery size, power, etc..

      Hello, many thanks for watching the video and your comment.
      The importer, based in Germany, is also selling petrol cars from DFSK and BAIC already. They are reasonably priced. However, also Chinese car manufacturers are facing high buying prices for the batteries.
      Indeed there are no options. However, this is the same with other Chinese import BEVs such as the Aiways U5 or the MG ZS EV. Not sure about the final MG prices yet. The Aiways U5 is larger but also approx. 1.500 Euros (in Germany) more expensive.

      I find the car interesting, but the price is just a little high (here in Belgium it's from €32k, which is weird since the German prices are usually much lower than the Belgian prices on the same cars). So maybe the importer is taking large profits with the tax and government grants? But still, if the car was closer to the price of €30k but had 375 to 385km WLTP it would tip the advantage to them over almost any other car. I'm sure the high battery prices and import costs are forcing the price higher, but that for me is where we see major adoption, under €30k and over 400km range, ICE car sales will fall fast. Still waiting on the MG5 wagon as that is what I think will be the best option after the eNiro and Model 3 for an EV>.

    I rented this car in France to travel from lyon Airport to les arc in the alps .230km travelled with a range estimate of 345 .I didn't make it too my destination ,at the base of the mountain I had about 85km of range with 40 km to go so mountain climb and low temperatures destroyed the battery .cost me 295 euro for tow charge including full recharge so because I was returning from the base of the mountain about 200km from airport I had 95km of range available upon arrival .this was my first introduction to electric driving .has it put me off electric cars ,maybe rental yes as too much anxiety over range and places to charge but for home use I still desire as its non polluting and a pleasure to drive especially on corners and overtaking cars .

    By the way, tell the importer that it's too expensive. With that price in Portugal would be a sales flop. Here a vw ID4 starts at 46k, and a skoda Enyak at 34k.

    • @EmanuelBarrosCB
      @EmanuelBarrosCB Před 3 lety +2

      37k with VAT(IVA) with 400km. Enyak only have 280km. Kia NIRO with 455km costs in Portugal 46k. So is less 9k for the same range! It's not expensive.

    Too expensive car. I'm waiting for the Seres SF5 EVR, but I think it will be exceedingly expensive. DFSK needs to cut prices if they want to compete with the new German or Korean models

    Nice video within a nice snowy scenery! The car maybe it is good but design-wise it is too generic, also it needs a price-cut when as you said there are way too established models in market

      I agree, not much cheaper than a Tesla. Who is goingto buy this so expensive, when you can buy decent known cars like Hyundai and Tesla for so much. It could be interesting at half the price.
