And is the first time that we hear one brother actually saying "I love you" to the other one.
Watch their scene in the tunnel where they stopped Katherine. That was the most human Damon we saw in TVD. I don’t think he showed his emotions at this level around Elena.

One of the things I hate about TVD... How the fuck is Damon redeemable yet Katherine wasn't? He fucking kills innocents for no complete reason, whereas Katherine actually kills one for a purpose. She rarely kills one without reason to do so. Damon basically blames her for him turning out to be like that after he turned into a vampire. Well guess what? He's even worse than Katherine, and Katherine lost her baby, entire family murdered, running for more than 500 years and being thought of as some heartless monster whereas Damon only has his father killed, which is not even by his own hands but Stefan's and yet he acts like so many bad things has happened to him. Bitch please. What the fuck is wrong with this show.

I'm going to be honest - when Stefan tried to shoot Damon with the vervain dart and Damon decided to just completely shut down his emotions: I instantly started to just lose interest in this season. This whole "we need to save Damon" thing is officially old. I'm not saying I want 11 episodes of happy ending - but it would be nice if instead of making Damon a villain that they won him back already so the whole team can fight the sirens together. Bad Damon is just annoying in the boring way.
