I've been watching your videos 4 a very long time. The abilities of your company the equipment that you own or operate never ceases to amaze me. There are people who operate backhoes on their channels and that's all they do LOL I don't know why people come back and watch him. Everyday your videos show another skill set that you have. Sometimes when I see a business owner like yourself who everyday somehow overcome an obstacle like it's second nature. Thanks again for sharing all your videos
I worked as an operator on a strip mine in Wv. We had our own challenges starting a job and in the day to day things that came up.I enjoy your videos and seeing what it takes to get those logs out of the woods and to the mill..I am retired now .Be safe and keep those videos coming.Thank you.
I remember when you posted this video, awesome video, that bridge worked well, held all the truck loads up , 🌲🇺🇲💪 but sometimes ya gotta cross a creek, good choice to on the creek idea, can't believe it's been 3yrs already
Always great video content,Tim! Thanks for your detailed narration. I sometimes forget that not all of your channels viewers haven't had the hands on experiences with equipment moving challenges. Keep up the great videos.
Nice job on crossing. Awesome bridges. we use company bridges , steel, or wooden. we carry them on the forwarder. 20 footers , open centre filled with random logs
Seeing the bridge being put in and ya'll crossing the creek reminded me of a Tract of timber I helped mark some poles on. The landowner owned like 700/ 800 acres outside of Abbeville, Ga. Some of it was pine plantation in the Ocmulgee River swamp, but there was a large island across a fork of the river that the landowner built a bridge too. He took the bridge out after they finished cutting the island, but it was amazing.
Brilliant vid tim nice to see some groundwork kind of a bit of behind the scenes of preparing the job site ready for logging always great to see how well yourself Derek and Kevin work well together I'm with you 100% on just the main people being there last thing you need to be doing is worrying about people on the ground and where they're too them getting in the way of getting hurt I like you say the extra confusion. Hope you have a great week and as always best wishes to you and the family
It's always a pleasure watching you Cotontop. That bridge is a beauty! Sure beats the old Hemlock or Spruce corduroyed bridges (like what you built) that we use in the bush up here in Canada for small creeks and rivers for truck crossings.
Good job getting across that creek I had to do that for a crew but they had broke up concrete slabs brought in I placed that in the bottom and on the sides they left it for the owners the creek was fine it flowed over it
That was a good idea to error on the side of caution for the machines. Before you even mentioned putting trees in the creek, actually I was thinking the same thing. Railroad car bridges are what we use.Not only are they narrow, like you said, also throw the mud factor in. I had a contract hauler slide his loaded truck off the bridge, when it got slippery with mud. He never drove across one and was nervous, again little margin for error on a railcar bridge.
Great video Tim. Looks like everything worked out good. I think you made the right decision to cross on the log bridge. Safety first. Sometimes we only get one chance. Later
thats actually a pretty clever set up but all the old time loggers would just do what you did they would even go further and put some logs going the other direction in the middle to give a spot for the water to flow then push 5-6ft of dirt on top of the logs to finish the bridge across and all the traffic would cross it
Great video Tim!! Once you get done those old trailers will hold up 4wheelers and whatever for years...I understand 100% you had no say-so in the bridge ... nuff said😉
Ima old bastard , ida walked em across fer ya lol .Just get the grousers in time so she dont sway .But you done right erring on the side of caution and benching the creek . Thank ya Tim . Stay safe always .
Don't worry what other people, u did a clever plan which is called a shortcut plan use that from the trailer, I wouldn't think about building a bridge that sort of kind of clever.
Man sir that was a cool vidja. I'm guessing u can't pull yourself w that processor head ?? Just curious cause excavator would've came on up that using bkt to help. But i know that thing is crazy heavy. Y'all do awsome work together. Stay safe out there
Why didn't they get a 36-inch I beam get about 10 mm put across that Creek use a couple of them to make support underneath the Bridge then lay the truck trailer beds on top of it that would have been plenty the hold you guys up across that bridge
Don’t blame y’all for going to the extra trouble of crossing the creek. Those metal tracks would have probably felt like ice skates on those bridges had something gone wrong.
I'm preparing to install my own 12T 51ft railcar bridge. The bridge company is suggesting unloading w/ 2 trackhoes but I'm cheap & wondering if I can offload with a single large hoe. Interested in hearing your suggestion. Thanks!
Been a nice time for Chris letsdig to show up. Glad ya'll took the safe route. Simitrio from swamp loggers would be proud too.
Aint really worried about the poor ol truck driver! Lol. They're 80k plus. 100k plus if Terry Deese loads it
That's a smart and safe way to do it, Tim. It ensures that there will be a "later", Tater.
Most people dont realize how much work goes into getting started on a job just to cut the first tree looking good pal lay in there

Really enjoyed watching the whole process - cool to see some of the not so obvious work that goes on. Thanks!
Cool project! Thanks phor taking us along with you!

Thanks for sharing! Being safe is always the best way! Have a good week!
That was a neat video! Awesome to see you come up with a way to make the crossing safer!
That was intense! I'm so glad ya'll know what you're doing.. I'd hate for anything bad to happen to any of yas. That was a great video!!!! 👍🏼
Always great video content,Tim! Thanks for your detailed narration. I sometimes forget that not all of your channels viewers haven't had the hands on experiences with equipment moving challenges. Keep up the great videos.

Great stuff Tim, the lengths TDK Logging goes to , to get the job done:):) That bank the far side was pretty steep!!!
The old saying is a ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Y’all stay safe 👍

Thanks man, great stuff! Keep it coming.
Great video Tim. Looks like everything worked out good. I think you made the right decision to cross on the log bridge. Safety first. Sometimes we only get one chance. Later
I think this will be your number one video soon. Thank you.
Great work on the 'ford' construction! ....13
Been watching for a long time and this was 1 of my favorite videos Tim. Most folks would have no idea to do what you all did.
Thank you
Very interesting. Nice change.
Ha, I was so waiting for him to dunk you in the creek when you stood on the bucket.
that would be CZcams gold HA
Love this kind of videos please do more if you can . Love those hoss machines lol

Enjoyed that ,that is thinking out side the box

Enjoyed the video! Keep up the good work!!
Thanks, you too!
That was a pretty cool video thanks filming that 👍
Yes sir I'll Ford the creek any day over that rickety Bridge and I'd crawl across in one of them log trucks... LOL y'all some operating Rascals💯
i was hoping to see u do some log running. lol
great video Tim!
I thought that was Alabamaboss on the excavator at first in the beginning of the video. Cool video and thanks for sharing
That was awesome got to keep your head straight and geter done see ya Napa mike
Ima old bastard , ida walked em across fer ya lol .Just get the grousers in time so she dont sway .But you done right erring on the side of caution and benching the creek . Thank ya Tim . Stay safe always .
crossing streams is always a bid pain in the butt. but ya gotta hit er done. great video as always. stay safe out there and take care fella.
Btw u can tell u take good care of ur equipment. I've never seen logging stuff in as good shape as y'all s
Another good video as always.
That’s a hell off an idea for a bridge. I would have never thought of that
Like your channel, you keep it clean there fore I can watch and GOD is ok with it.GOD BLESS
A task like that is all about risk management
You did all the right things to get the job done
Bad to the BONE man. Top 3 vids for sure.
bon job,super video
Better safe than sorry good job and good video 👍
Don't worry what other people, u did a clever plan which is called a shortcut plan use that from the trailer, I wouldn't think about building a bridge that sort of kind of clever.
Nice!!!! ( The Bridge Over Anywhere!)!!!
Those machines are packing some weight I thought Kevin was going to tip backwards for a moment glad everyone made it across all right
Good video.
0:53 that's one good lookin flatbed single wheel
Tim, That there was buttpucker I swear, But you all handled it topnotch No doubt, Great video Tim
Have a great week as well and Be safe out there..
That black dodge service truck is nice 🤘🏼🤘🏼
That's the way its done on the big job.
Good One!
How he got the camera was honestly amazing and awesome
Need a walk around of that black Dodge!
Safety live with it
The truck axles might be bolted to the bucket holding the weight of the boom.
good job men
good morning Tim
There is actually more pressure per square inch on tires than the ground pressure of the distributed load across the track..caution is best though.
Good job! I just subscribed ☺
Nice!
Amazing work thought y’all had a 200lc in that one stump pulling video
We do have a 200.
You know I would pay for that ride !!!!
Do you tree change colors in the fall or do they fall off the tree green
I've been on jobs that had to have a couple loads of RipRap to get trucks and equipment across creeks.
I bet that was a “pucker n a half” 😂
Man sir that was a cool vidja. I'm guessing u can't pull yourself w that processor head ?? Just curious cause excavator would've came on up that using bkt to help. But i know that thing is crazy heavy. Y'all do awsome work together. Stay safe out there
16' our fat trucks have 16' bunks and can pack 100 tons. Think I'll go the long way.
t, now that's what I call swamp logging. 😀😁😀😁
how long did it take to find that spot to cross?
Don't forget , a lot of Thinking !!
Good call not tracking over that "bridge" that thing is sketchy even for trucks.
Have u ever operated a 603 valment tire buncher if so could you tell about it on video?
I haven’t ran one.
Mr. cotton:
To not charge those folks for pullin' the Cat outta the pond, takes a man that knows what the "Golden Rule" is all about.
Why didn't they get a 36-inch I beam get about 10 mm put across that Creek use a couple of them to make support underneath the Bridge then lay the truck trailer beds on top of it that would have been plenty the hold you guys up across that bridge
I have been certified with blue and red card in soil erosion and that looks like a big fine down here in nw GA lol
No buffer required??
Since this was private land, did you have to get a permit from county or state or is it more of a don’t ask don’t tell approach ?
Don’t blame y’all for going to the extra trouble of crossing the creek. Those metal tracks would have probably felt like ice skates on those bridges had something gone wrong.
Do you travel? We need exactly same thing!!!!
I'm preparing to install my own 12T 51ft railcar bridge. The bridge company is suggesting unloading w/ 2 trackhoes but I'm cheap & wondering if I can offload with a single large hoe. Interested in hearing your suggestion. Thanks!
Be careful, those things are very heavy.
Hey man I need to do this on a property what type of trailer is that just a 53 foot flatbed???
Yeah 2 of them side by side
Why does derek, more often then not, track with his final drives in front?? Is that standard for track cutters?
good video from john in scotland
Watching this only makes me think how maybe dinosaurs worked together to get across lol
Safety has to come first one of your guys gets killed it would haunt you for a long long time.
Tracks would have more sq ft weight barring surface than trucks.
Is that your excavator that you guys are using??
I don’t think it was...they have a John Deere 200.
@@waltermattson5566 thanks
