What are your thoughts from some of the comments made from the banks about potentially shift their focus to experience based rewards?

I couldn't care less about experience based rewards. It sounds like an opportunity to lower redemption costs, while making their customers feel exclusive and special. I agree about the SPG Luxury Card, there's not much to it, especially the hoops you have to jump through trying to lower that annual fee. We went for the BofA Platinum instead of the CSR, which especially now, may work better alongside the AMEX Gold Card, for foreign transactions / travel insurance / non-category spend.

Any rumors about the American Express Business Gold?
PS The USA bonus categories have got to go! American Express is a global business. The cards should reflect that.

Thanks for asking them about the SPG luxury card! Hopefully, they amp the benefits to the card and quickly too considering how Hilton is killing it with these new offers. And I agree with you how silly it is that Amex doesn’t offer bonus categories abroad. That’s why I stick to my CSP when I go abroad. Hopefully they deal with away with that too.

It is once a year and the next one is Sept 9 and 10 in Washington DC. Lots of great speakers and so many people to connect with. I was very impressed with CardCon

Was Chase present? If so are there any other changes coming to there CSR or CSP cards?
