@@TrevortheTrainFanYeah, Duncan was an ungrateful brat in Passengers and Polish and he did get his comeuppance in the end, but at the same time, this would've been a great opportunity for him to do something nice for a change and his first episode to shine, especially since this takes place after Rock n Roll where he learned his lesson, but no, now it just feels like he's either forgotten the lessons he had learnt or he just reverted back to the status quo. If he wants to have a polish and passengers, he should just behave well no matter what, and perhaps maybe he'll have a surprise reward after a hard day's work, simple! Why must he learn things the hard way?
@@TrevortheTrainFanOh and also not to mention, if Duncan could try to put on a positive impression in The Grumpy Passenger, why doesn't he do the same simple thing in Passenger & Polish?
Excellent choices for a top 5! I definitely agree with most of them. Duncan is one of those characters who never seems to get bad episodes, which is partly why he's my favourite of the narrow gauge engines. Here are my thoughts on the choices in order of air date: Rock 'n' Roll: An obvious classic. I love Duncan and Rusty's dynamic and I really wish it was used more often. Sure, the trope of Duncan learning a lesson countless times does get a bit old, but that's just who he is. And it's why I love him as a a character. Season 4 in general is my favourite Thomas season of all time, and this is one of my favourites from that season. I have huge nostalgia for it, and Michael Angelis's narration is fantastic as always. 10/10 The Runaway Elephant: Always one of my favourites whenever I watched the Pulling Together DVD. Of course, the elephant flying in the air does break the laws of physics, but that's not really relevant to the story obviously. Angelis's narration is also brilliant, and even though I still hate Brandon, I don't mind his narration here, and I can't be the only one who thought the way he shouted "Look out!" as Duncan's driver sounded like Arnold Schwarzenegger! This may have been Duncan's only lead role in Season 7, but I still think it's one of his best episodes. 9/10 Duncan and the Old Mine: One of the best of the HiT era by far. I could go on for days about how underrated Duncan and Rusty's dynamic is, especially in this episode. The model work is fantastic, the music is some of Hartshorne's best, and Angelis's narration is just superb. Definitely my favourite Season 9 episode along with Respect for Gordon. 10/10 Duncan and the Hot Air Balloon: Season 12 is extremely underrated in my opinion, and this episode is one reason why. I like how it shows Duncan's caring side when it comes to how he wants to please Mr. Percival's children. Sure, it was pretty selfish of him to try and get rid of the balloon, but that's Duncan for you. No matter how much growth he may receive, he's still the same old Duncan. While Brandon's Duncan voice is just decent at best for me, I think this is one of his better performances during his tenure. Not a perfect episode, but still an incredibly underrated one in my opinion. 7.5/10 Duncan and the Grumpy Passenger: One of the best CGI episodes to date! This was always a favourite of mine ever since I first watched it back in 2014, and it always will be. Tom Stourton does a great performance as Duncan, and I love the message that you can't please everyone, even the grumpiest of people. This is easily one of those episodes from the CGI era that feel just as relevant to this day as it did back when it first aired, which is why it's not just my favourite Duncan episode, but also my favourite episode from Season 18, coincidentally my favourite CGI season. 10/10 Side note: I can handle your opinion on Duncan Drops a Clanger, since I personally like that episode, though that's probably me being biased because I have massive nostalgia for it.
Pretty good list of Duncan episodes I enjoyed a couple of episodes like Duncan and the grumpy passenger, Dunkin Duncan, Rock n Roll, Duncan and the old mine, Cool truckens, Trusty, rusty and Faulty whistles
You and I have the same exact favorite for him. I unapologetically love that episode.😊 Also, his dynamic with Skarloey, honestly, I found it interesting. After all, we never really saw proper interaction between them since season four. I don’t count the hit episodes because of characters being out of character.
I agree with this list completely. I personally wanna say Gallant Old Engine? Although I don’t know if this counts as more of a Duncan episode or a Rheneas one.
Duncan had to deal with a grumpy passenger and you have to deal with a grumpy customer at a grocery store isn’t fun, I also have the same situation back when I was working at the kids summer program as an assistant, I had deal with a little boy who is a trouble maker at a time but one day he crossed the line and is kicked out as a result. In conclusion, I’ve tried everything I can to help this boy along with other staff but in the end that kid has to face the consequences.

I love Duncan my favorite narrow gauge engine so my favorite episodes Duncan Dunkin Faulty whistles Runaway elephant 🐘 Duncan and the old mine Duncan drop a clanged
Hey Trevor, remember last year I requested you to do a Top Favorite Duncan Episodes, and look at that, it's finally here.😁

@randomnessetc5600 he's younger then
I love Duncan’s soft side because it shows that mean or angry characters can have a good side.
Amazing video. I've grown to love Duncan so much over the years.
Same here!

Right?!
The Duncan episodes were very good. My favourite is a tie between "Duncan's Bluff" and "Duncan and the Grumpy Passenger".
I agree with this list completely. I personally wanna say Gallant Old Engine? Although I don’t know if this counts as more of a Duncan episode or a Rheneas one.

How did that elephant statue landed so perfectly with no cracks Or damaged? because some statues can be fragile in real life, Nice video BTW.
I agree with you on the hot air balloon not only letting it fly away is irresponsible, it’s also stupid.

My favourite Duncan episodes are:
1: Duncan and the Grumpy Passenger.
2: Duncan gets Spooked.
3: Duncan and the Old Mine.

I wished Pierce Brosnan narrated Duncan and the Hot Air Balloon because I kinda liked his impression for Duncan.
Well, Duncan drops a clanger is a lot like slide whistle SpongeBob episode
I like it
Request: Top Lantio/Hispanic Characters
We’ll see.
5:44 Yeah, the actual story wasn't adapted until Season 20 in the CGI Series
