Thank you SO SO MUCH for that Zoom when you were drawing. It's one thing to hear someone say "yeah this tablet draws very well" to actually seeing how it reacts. That is everything I've ever wanted. You sir got yourself a follow. Thank you!
No one else on youtube touches on the accuracy of the curser underneath the pen tip.
I appreciate that you do as it's a deal-breaker for me if the pen is not that accurate.
Accuracy has improved from earlier model
This is what I got with a Pro 16 bought in october 2020: czcams.com/video/Jxp-4MLh878/video.html
czcams.com/video/pGSS9mDeeIc/video.html
Tests like this would be appreciated in new buyers as the tablet is otherwise very promising.
can you elaborate why it is deal breaker? i am planning to get this model myself and since its gonna be my first display tablet i want to know if it'll have some significant effect on my workflow
@@nutk3917 It is fixable if you calibrate the pen such that it is slightly like "off center" then it will fix it. Like say for example you do calibration and press exactly on the dots and notice that it's off center then you can just press a bit higher up so that it corrects for it being too low, etc. So it's only an issue out-of-the-box :)
@@maxproductions7793 thanks, i bought it ,used it for 2 days now AND I LOVE IT!
I had been doing research on drawing tablets and found your channel, thanks for the incredibly detailed and fast reviews! Literally no one is doing as informative and straightforward as this channel!
thank you! your reviews are really detailed and helpful!
reading your replies in the comments really helps too
Thank you very much for your in-depth review. I spent many hours searching through videos and online reviews and this one was the best. I am a big fan of the matte texture on the screen instead of a smoother surface. Thanks for the explanation about the cursor being off by a few pixels near the edge of the screen. A lot of reviewers say that is a defect but it makes sense that you can see the cursor near the edge of the screen instead of covering it with the pen tip and is verified when you put it into Left Handed mode.
Thanks for your review. My daughter is wanting to get into digital art and I was unsure which model/brand to go for. In the end your video swayed me onto this Kamvas 16 (2021) model. This one looks to be a great choice for a beginner without too much outlay and I think she will be happy.
I started digital art really young, at age 8, and got my first tablet for christmas when I was 10. I'm 23 now, and this is the tablet I've really been wanting to get for myself once I can afford it. I don't think you'll go wrong with it, I would have been over the moon to get this as my first tablet, let alone today as a longtime artist. :)
Wow what a supportive father u are
Really detailed review, you told us everything we need to decide whether or not to buy it. Personally I watched a lot of reviews about this specific tablet and only yours made me make my final decision.
Thank you for your thorough reviews, they are very helpful.
Thanks for the great review. I just ordered this. Your review helped me make the decision.
Amazing amazing amazing review! I wouldn't be surprised if Huion themselves couldn't make such a high quality one. Liked and Subbed!
i just got huion kamvas 16 (2021) and i love it!
Great review, helped me form an opinion on this product as a potential buy in the near future and it was a good one. It's very informative and covered all the bases (at least, for me). Love the work you do! :)
I got the Kamvas Pro 16 because of the touch ring, but this looks really good.
thanks for the analysis, now i convince to buy this huion.
YOOOO DUUDE YOU HAVE BOUGHT IT YAY
JUST LIKE I HAVE SUGGESTED IN THE COMMENTS
I wonder when Huion Kamvas Pro 2021 will come out
Thanks Teoh your Review was very Helpful and Thorough BIG Thumbs up to you sir, I have one coming from Amazon on Saturday,
I was literally typing a question about warranty then you answered it. Lol I appreciate this review!
I've been looking into this tablet since last year im excited to see the updated version
nice review - very thorough :) Got mine today !
thank you so much for reviewing the stylus of this model! my pen is from old gaomon and it springs a hell of a lot, which causes a lot of torment.
Great review, it was very informative and thorough.
I bought this a few weeks ago and everything he says about this tablet is true. Great product. Great customer service and speed of delivery was a day earlier than expected. All the way from South Africa.
Did they ship your order with FedEx?
Really? Could you leave me a link so i can get one too #VNVisual ? Did they deliver with fed ex or DHL?
@@tajayhinds3513 You can buy from the official Huion store, it ships to a ton of countries: store.huion.com?af_code=CP2025

I don't need a new tablet but I love listening to these reviews. thank you for covering!
Lolol....me tooo!!! I enjoy the one i already have but every now and then i like to tune in.
@Claire Park enjoy it!!
I'm amazed with the difference over last year's model. The big thing for me is the improved colour reproduction. My only concern is reliability if there's anything to the Android experience. I wouldn't want it to suddenly fry my computer's USB.
there is a kamvas 16 model that is sold in china that supports touch (it's gt-156 in mainland.). it also comes with all in one usb-c cable that suppplies power, display and controls.
thank you for this fine review
thank you so much because my birthday is in some days and my mom wants to get me one for my birthday and she said I need to decide wich one I want but I didn't know which one was good but now I think this is a really good one
Great review bro, well done! 🤙🏼🤙🏼👌
Waiting for this review 😊👍
This is my dream tab
But I'm a bit too broke to get this anytime soon
Super Review of the Huion Canvas 16" .
Just got One and Love Drawing on the Tablet Monitor .
---> One Thing to keep in Mind about 1080p Drawing Displays :
The Saved Artwork will will be Crafted to look Good on Smartphones and Many Devices .
This is so relaxing to watch even though I came just for the info XD
Had a good laugh when at the 8 minute mark the menu pops up and it appears to be the same menu on my Prechen USB C powered monitor. I feel like that's a good sign since I've been pretty happy with it.
thank you bro i need this
plan on upgrading from the gt-221 pro thank you!
Thank you for this helpful video
Strange, when I tested it at a friends house, it had significant inaccuracy at the corners. But here it shows its very accurate
It's pretty good. Bought it and it's cool. Some tweaking in drawing software could be needed (like in clip studio), otherwise it's great
I previously had the Kamvas 12 2020 and purchased the C to C cord for Android use on my Samsung note 10+. I experienced exactly what you described connecting this to my phone. There was an electric buzz and my phone indicated that it had gotten wet and would not charge or connect to the device. As a result, I returned the 40.00 cord and the Kamvas 12 2020. I also agree this is too small to comfortably work on. It is important to note also that Kamvas requires a proprietary USB C cord due to the depth of the cavity that you connect it into the tablet, so it is not an option to simply buy a third party cable. I find this really concerning especially since the phone logs these error messages and now thinks that it has been submerged in water and has not.
Beautiful product
The pen is not there yet. I had a cintiq pro 16, and this huion, in terms of display, it is very close. But in terms of pen, wacom still king. Huion keep improving 🙏
Well your device costs 1300 and this 400
I just want Huion to make a 16 inch display with QHD resolution. Every time I see a new product at 1080p, it makes me sad.
It will be pricey!
It just came out lol
Is there even really a difference? Most professional art and animation are in 1080p. What does 4k bring to the table that makes it worth over double the price?
@@SilverDreamweaver I never said I needed 4k, QHD is 1440p.
It really depends on what kind of work you do, but there are two distinct advantages for QHD and higher for my type of line art focused work.
1. 1080p is high res, but slightly blurry when it comes to fine details. Higher resolution feels so much closer to the clarity of real ink.
2. You can zoom out further on your image without losing clarity. Being able to work in full view of a print sized image is very helpful for seeing the full scope of the image.
I'd gladly pay more for just 1440p as I feel like the clarity is fine at that spot personally, but for some reason, these Wacom alternatives do not like putting that resolution on their 16 inch tablets.
@@DaneMurdock Thanks for answering those questions. I have a few more though; At what size would you say makes the most difference? I put fine details in my character art, but $900 is a lot for just 4k. Is the detail difference truly worth the price ($400 and $900 for what I'm looking at right now)? What type (landscape, architecture, character, abstract, etc.) of drawing does it make the most difference in?
hi! can someone help me? I don't have a HMDI port in my Imac so do I have to buy an adapter or does the data USB plug works as well for image?
Hi! thanks for the review. What can you suggest is a better 15.6 or 16 inch tablet display that goes with a type c cable option?
Why did they remove the touchbar from the 2018 version. Is the button better and which one is better overall?
Hi there, really like your detailed reviews so thank you for that. I was wondering how you think this compares to the previously released kamvas pro 16? Have Huion improved the drawing experience?
This has slightly better cursor tracking accuracy at extreme edges, and the pen tip is firm and less wobbly. Those are the noticeable upgrades.
Hi, I was wondering if it is possible to only use usbc to usbc cable connection with this display
your voice is very soothing. oh vavy
Hi, I would like to ask for your opinion, on would you recommend buying this or the Kamvas 20? thank you!
Hello, I was wondering about how big the whole tablet is, not just the drawing area, but the whole tablet. I’m curious if it would be too big to fit on my desk
For painting illustration, what do you think is a better option, this or the XP-Pen Artist Pro 16? Anyone with an opinion?
hi can you make a comparison of the huion kanvas 16 (2021) and the old huion kanvas pro 16 premium, please
hey please give me an honest review after what u have experience so far, has the tablet goes screen got hot after these table being used for a long period of time?
lets say maybe 4-5 hours of usage. cause these are one of the common problem happens around their product, so I need to know if the 2021 is any better?
Perfect review! As always!
May i ask if there is a big difference between matt film and etched glass like on 16 pro? I can't decide which one to choose so it will stay safe for longer time (since i am really afraid to damage it by hard pressing or scratching) Is it better to pick 16 pro or 16 (2021)?
Matte glass vs matte screen protector. That's really a personal preference. Personally I'm not too fussy. I've tablets with plenty of scratches and I still use them. The matte screen protector may get some scratches with usage. But the matte screen protector can be replace if you want to.
@@teohyc thank you a lot!
Hello, please advise me about that. I will buy Huion Kamvas Pro 16, which is the 2019 version. Do you advise me to buy it, or will there be a 2021 version soon, so wait ??!
..
Is there a space between the pen's nib and the writing on the screen, or not ?? Because someone scared me from that, but I told him that this is not found in the Pro versions, is that correct or not ??
do we have different quality in screen resolution if we connect it using usb c to usb c as opposes using the three cables and power adaptor?
It’s the same image quality
hey is it better to buy this or can I go for huion kamvas 15.6?
You should also show their pen paper experience in writing notes and compare the speed of trace with real world pen. This also shows pen follow up speed.
Which do you think Is better? Huion kamvas pro 16 or kamvas 16 (newer model)
let's wait for the 4k version of kamvas 16, 😄
$1200
Which do you think is better? The XP Pen 15.6 Pro or this tablet?
Always great review videos. Question: Can this Huion be used as a second display using Sidecar for Mac or without? I have a laptop and don't want to have to buy two displays.
Can I use it with Adobe apps like photoshop, illustrator and after effects?
I like how you said one male and one female of the cable, it's hilarious
I was actually about to buy the Huion Gt-191 V2 19.5 inch (2019), i can't decide if i should buy the kamvas 16 (2021), i mean is it really better ? they have both the same price in my country, i'd like a bigger screen but if the tech is really better i'd buy the new one.... Opinions ?
Did i can use Huion Kamvas 16 on PC? Because i see only people who is using it on Laptops
Still wondering which is better for 3D work like zbrush, XP pen or wacom. My problem is i don’t have a lot of money and it can‘t be that wacom is the only component for productivity.
1st comment/ also I already know this will be a great review!
Wonder when there will be 16 pro (2021) with antiglare glass
I'm not looking to buy this, I just like Teoh's videos. The tracking and parallax looks better than my xp-pen 15.6 which is my newest device. If calibrated correctly the xp pen is okay but if you angle your hand different or go to the edges it's pretty bad. General drawing is okay but this Huion looks quite a bit better. Would be interesting to see how it compares to the innovator 16. I'm getting an ipad because I used to use surface pros and I miss the no parallax and touch screen capabilities. What I'm curious to try is using the ipad as a second monitor like my xp pen. I've almost made my way through all the main brands haha, I've owned surface pros, Huions, Xp Pens and now ipad soon. Just need to get a cintiq 😋
XP-Pen Innovator 16 and this Huion are quite evenly matched in terms of functionality and drawing performance. It's difficult to choose. The scroll wheel on the XP-Pen is very useful for changing brush size, and XP-Pen has 18-months warranty.
@@teohyc it only says 12 months
I’ve tried duet display and ended up getting a year of it accidentally and honestly the pen pressure is horrible for iPad, it’s not consistent at all and the lines are always too thick it too thin no matter how careful you are
Hello thank you for the review! But I'm still quite not sure which one is better, the huion kamvas 16 2021 model the one your reviewing or the xp pen 15.6 pro, it's mostly used in drawing 2d and they kinda have the same spec, the color rgb, the pressure sensitivity, etc but for quality drawing and quality build which one would you choose? Hope you can reply soon thank you!
You can compare the list of pros and cons.

I'm a huge fan of Huion and I've had the h950p for a long time now, but I'm thinking of an upgrade so I was wondering should I buy this or the slightly smaller kamvas 13. I like the 16 because its bigger but its downside is that its ~$150 more expensive in my country. Any thoughts?
I am currently debating the same thing!
Can we press ctrl and space at same time ( 2 different button ) to zoom. On the expresskey
Great video as always! I'm undecided, Kamvas 16 2021 or Kamvas Pro 16? Which one is the best?
can I know which one you picked?
If this one had the etched glass it would be an easy pick. But with a matte screen protector which I think can scratch and wear down, it's difficult because the pen on this is better, but the Pro had a better etched glass screen.
Pro16 2021 was also improved new pen type as kanvas16 2021,better screen glass covered ,with a slider touchpad plus ,better stand case, but no full fuction type c as kanvas16,and little bit heavyer
for anyone looking back here- go with 2021. from my research it seems there's alot of issues with pro 16 that was solved with the 2021 ver.
I will be sticking with my kamvas 13 haha
So the pen pressure works fine in clip studio paint now? it didn't on my kamvas 22 pro before so I didn't use it for clip studio.
Pressure works fine with CSP. You may need to go into CSP to turn on pressure sensitivity, or troubleshoot with the CSP settings.
what do you think of this compared to the huion kamvas 22 plus? in terms of accuracy at the edges, color right at of the box, pen (the nib), and such? the prices in my country for both of them are really close so im really deciding between the 2.
Both are similar in performance except 22 Plus has slightly better laminated screen (almost no gap). If price difference is not big, it's worth getting the larger display.
Hello Mr. Teoh, when I draw on my kamvas 16 2021 the strokes at normal speed always preset me at 1cm distance, only if I make a very slow stroke is when the line under the pencil coincides.
Do you know why that is? I use windows10 and a core i5 processor with 8gb ram. Thank you very much and greetings.
Not sure if you mean input lag. Test with other drawing apps to see if it’s the problem with driver, software or product. You can test on Krita, Medibang Paint
Is this better than xp pen pro 15.6?
hello, I watched every your videos, but still I couldn't decided huion or xp-pen😅.. I like both🙌.. which one do you recommend me? 🙏 I want to buy approx 16inch.
Please tell me, X-pen artist pro 16 2021 or huion kamvas 16 2021? So that you choose, what are the differences from these devices, if they are almost similar? Could you do a review on these two devices in comparison? I think subscribers of your channel and not only will get this category. Since no one will have such a comparison
Thanks a lot for this review! Would you recommend this display or the Wacom one as an entry level tablet for a beginner digital artist?
It’s as good as Wacom. So it comes down to price
Puedo utilizar otro bolígrafo que no sea justo el que viene?
Maybe you can help, I dont understand why when I go into the displays settings there are options greyed out, why are these not selectable? How can we select them?
It's probably due to some OSD screen mode you have selected that prevents manual adjustments of individual settings.
how did you manage to open CSP on the Huion k16, cause every time I try to open CSP, it doesn't appear on my Huion k16.
I'm not entirely sure if I understood your problem. But if you mean that when you open a program it only appears on the main screen and is not shown on the tablet, then check the display settings of your pc or laptop.
It may be in "extend display". This means that the two screens will act as two independent monitors. If this is the case, you can simply drag the CSP window onto the Huion tablet. (Drag the window to the right or left edge of the screen, depending on your monitor configuration. You should start to see the edge of the window appear in your Huion)
Or you could switch to "mirror display". Then both displays will show the same thing.
im quistening how you zoom in and how easy the buttons are
Hey..ty always for youre good product reviews...im thinking of buying me a pen display... i think the huions are good stuff...but idk which size to buy..would you recomend the 13,3 or the 15.6 Inch...which drawing app would you recomend, maybe not as expensive as photoshop?
For free drawing apps, try Medibang Paint Pro, Krita, or Clip Studio Paint (subscription but much cheaper than Adobe).
i really like your review! i heard that huion kamvas 16 can be used in pen tablet mode (with the monitor off). should we keep the hdmi cable attached? since my laptop only has 1 hdmi port
I've not tried that functionality before. But since the screen is off, you can probably unplug the HDMI from your computer.
do you have any ideas why my kamvas pro 16 doesn't work in duplicate mode? in extended mode works just fine. I still don't know why mirroring doesn't work. I use it with a laptop
Hi! I love your reviews. I've decided to buy this drawing display but I have a question, is integrated gpu enough to use this display?
Should be no problem since it's just 1080P resolution which isn't taxing for any processor or graphics card.
Very in-depth review as always. But, there was no clarity on usb-c to usb-c connection. I have a laptop with usb-c(thunderbolt 3), will it work with single cable when connected to my laptop via thunderbolt or will it require external power?
Have you tried asking on reddit or perhaps contacting huion support?
What size of scaling settings windows ? When i use Second screen only, it changes to 150 recommended. But in 100 is very bad Resolution 😢
I think this brand of this drawing tablet give the lowset latency of the pen. Right?
I saw other video too reviewing about this.
I can see there is no gap between the line scratch and the pen nib.
I need a performance like that.
hello, I always watch your videos !! they are great. -I have a doubt, because the price of that "pen display" is already very similar to an IpadPro 12.9 (in my country). What is better? At the level of sensitivity in the pen, precision, smoothness, is it worth having a pen display? (without considering the portable).
My general advice is to look at the software you want to use, then decide what to get. Pen display is for those who want to use desktop software. If you don't need to use desktop software, I probably recommend the iPad Pro/iPad Air because there's no advantage to getting a pen display
I prefer IPad Pro as well 100% over all these graphic tablets, just that I use photoshop and I'm not sure if all the photoshop features are there
Hello Teoh!
Thanks for your review of this model and I have just got it today.
( But I have an "No Signal" issue when plug it with 3-in-1 cable to a monitor's port which has hdmi port ... ) As a result, it only works as a pen tablet not a
pen display.
May I know how to connect to a PC with this Kamvas 16?
The HDMI port of PC's graphic card is already occupied by the HDMI cable to a monitor.
Should I use a HDMI switches to get both tablet and monitor display simultaneously?
Any suggestion?
Thanks in advanced.
You need to connect HDMI + Black USB (for pen usage) to your computer.
Not sure if a HDMI switch/splitter will work with the Huion though. I've not tried that. If your computer has USB-C, you can use the USB-C to USB-C cable instead.
@@teohyc I will try to use either switches or HDMI-to- DP/ DVI adapter to solve the issue. And sharing the result here.
Thanks!
@@teohyc
Here, my feedback:
① a 2-in-1 hdmi switches, it works.
A display and a pen display use switches sharing 1 HDMI cable to computer, On and Off the switches is not an good option.
② a usb-C to usb-C method, not workable for PC.
③ Using Huion 3-cable, the HDMI cable plugged with DVI adapter, works fine.
HDMI to DP adapter, not workable.
But then, it appears to the display resolution ratio issue for multiple displays setting. Kamvas drawing mode cannot perform on "Extend these display" setting.
Now I have to do all drawing stuffs on "Duplicate these displays" setting temporary until next graphic card upgrading.
What to do. (Lmao)
Hello teoh, happy new year. A question, at minute 7:45 the power button starts flashing. For what is this? I just ordered it on amazon. thanks to this review and your review in parablogs. It will be my first display tablet. You do a good job on your channel teoh. a greeting
