- What happens if you pour epoxy resin too deep? This week I test pouring Total Boat 2:1 epoxy resin super deep to see what happens and made a table out of it. You won't believe how hot epoxy can get. Check out the YT LiveStream on 12-17-22 at 1pm CST to win this table.

The slab falling and cracking might be a blessing in disguise. It looks super cool having them incorporated in the table top.
It is a very good book for beginners as well as for those that are already into czcams.com/users/postUgkxTNB_zFBSnTo_O1PqfVUwgi7ityw0JlKt A very good basic ebook to keep as a reference too. I like it and the way the subject matter is presented. It has humor and that helps with the reading.
That drop was 100% intentional and I love it. I think you were expecting the initial pour to crack from the extreme heat and were planning on filling the cracks all along. Awesome final product!
Solid camera work to catch the drop!
What a unique table. It does look like artic ice. Love it Johnny.
While the end result was not the original design it still turned out amazing.
Absolutely love it. The perfect "iced coffee table"
This looks absolutely amazing. It brings to mind the Japanese technique where they fill in cracks with gold - you simply did it with blue. It's a really gorgeous affect!
That's hot.
Jonny! Holy I wasn’t expecting it to turn out SO beautiful! It’s a piece of ice, in your home. Someone’s going to be very lucky to get that. I think you’re on to something with the cracked epoxy look 👀👀
My daughter thought the marshmallow part was the best and super funny. Great build. Surprised at how cool it all turned out.
I actually like the fact it "broke" gives it some different uniqueness to it. keep up the good work and good luck to all with trying to win it. cheers.
That’s hot! Love how it turned out, and love that you rolled with the break. Most of art is “happy accidents”!
When he took it out the second time, the editor should have had a second disaster countdown, just to mess with us.
I was expecting it to fall, and I still screamed when it did
I think it's funny how people think you "accidently" dropped that table top... well played sir, well played.... it will be a beautiful piece in someone's winter or beach themed home.
I dropped an epoxy table top in one of my videos and cracked it right down the middle, so I felt it in my soul when you dropped the epoxy top.
Honestly love the table it looks like you encased a partially cloudy sky blue day into a table.
“That’s hot!” Amazing experiment. Always wondered what overheated resin would do. Can’t wait to see it complete. Love your work.
"THAT'S HOT" gave me a good laugh when you dropped it but came out amazing! Cant wait to give my first epoxy build a try!
Cool build, the colors reminds me of a piece of sea glass my daughter found years ago that she still has sitting on her dresser at home
The way the cracks make it look like the middle of a glacier is so cool.
That's hot. I love the look of both sides. I love how you stuck with it hit the floor and shattered. A lot of other builders would have quit then but you turned it into something unique and beautiful.
That's hot. And cold. And hot all in one. Beautiful way to 'rescue' a dropped piece
"That's Hot" Love the table and your content, especially your delivery. Always looking forward to the next project.
I love watching your videos because I can totally relate to the bumps in the road with the projects. As a viewer I actually appreciate that you choose to keep the flaws in your videos. Keep inspiring and have an amazing day. Merry Christmas 👍🏽
I love the way you demonstrated and saved the broken pour.
I wont lie when you dropped it my heart cried for you. I was like oh no he lost so much money now. But was so happy when you salvaged it and now those cracks actually look cool.. I like the bottom more aswell. It gives it personality
To quote a really nice artist, "There is no such thing as a mistake, just happy little accidents"!
Awesome looking table. Glad you just rolled with it breaking it and still turned it into cool table vs tossing it out and giving up.
That's Hot! Glad the chunks were big enough to put back together.
That table looks amazing. The cracks give it a frozen lake look.
That turned out AMAZING!! You can call it the thin ice build.
That's hot and I love it with the cracks. Reminds me of walking out to glaciers on the ice when we lived in Alaska!! Thanks for the video.
"Premature kickulation" is the worst 😂😂 Great experiment and info. Well done, Professor Builds.
I really do love the ice look! That and it reminds me a bit of sea glass. Great way to salvage a potential disaster (or several).
I'm trying to recreate the sea glass look in a table. I'm wondering if the finish that goes onto the wood part will get rid of the rough texture of the sanded epoxy. What do you think?
Super clever. Never thought about doing this with epoxy.
Dropping it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. The cracks really sell the "ice" look. Really cool.
The "disaster in" countdown was my favorite part, hardly watched the actual demolding haha. And the "I wore my brown pants today". 😂 Thanks for turning a big oopsie into comic relief.
Art is just making reality beautiful. So goes your pour there. You made a broken piece even better. Great work!
That table looks so good. I really like it
That’s hot 😊 When you turned it over after pouring the thick layer, I said out loud “don’t drop it!”
Excited to see what you plan on doing with that beautiful Oak slab! Keep up the great content!
It could be so much fun to do thermodinamics with this kind of project in school than the only theory! Professor to the max!
Hi Jonny, I think that the table looks very glacial and very beautiful. I love it. You are an artist young man.
A few days ago, here in Denmark, we had realy frosty weather, the snow we had, turned into, well, surprice... Ice 😱🥶... This awsome table you made, kinda reminds me of that Scandinavian ice 👍😃
That's hot! Turned out pretty good after you put the pieces together.
The fact it broke makes it look cool af! Love it!
You hit the nail on the head about Oklahoma weather.
I think you're onto something. The fractures definitely add some impressive features to the look!
Arctic ice table looks really cool. Nice salvage after dropping. That's hot.
Nice work! I thought to myself, "ah man it's a goner" but of course it turned out for the better in the end.
I’ve got my first epoxy project coming up and I’ve stumbled onto your channel thanks to Jeff and I can say without a doubt I’ve landed in the right place!!!
Definitely a cool color! Nice build. 👍🏾 “ that’s hot!”
That's hot! Also, that table is gorgeous! I love the icy cool look and the matte finish. Unique and lovely!
The break turned out to be the best feature! It does look like ice. Awesome!
'Thats hot', did not know it got that hot, great video.
Love the look of the top, love to see what it looks like altogether.
Sometimes, amazing things come from total disaster and when that happens, just embrace the positivity of what you have witnessed.
This table turned out so amazing. I love it
It’d be cool to win that because I live about an hour away from you I believe in Tulsa! Glad you got to still use the table! Just has character cracks in it!!
that is honestly one of the best epoxy poor effects i have seen yet not to mention from michigan yes that reminds me of ice in a hockey rink.
man, when you were putting it back together my first thought was some sort of gold resin and it could be like kintsugi pottery. the end product with the glacial ice look though? That is totally dope.
I absolutely never would have expected an experiment and dropping it (which made my stomach drop when I saw it) to produce such a wicked piece! Great job, my man!
Man you do some amazing work! Blown away by it all! Love to see your builds! Thanks for everything!💯
Looks cool but i think it would look better with a high polish to really see the inside.
That looks awesome l Love lt. But alittle scary when lt started smoking. Can't wait to see the table done. Thank you for sharing.
Artic ice coffee table look awesome. I like how a mistake was turned into a design element that worked perfectly. Stay awesome.
That's hot! Nice job overcoming the drop.
"Thats Hot"- Very nice yet missed opportunity... Next broken one use gold dye in mix when glueing back together then that light blus top... That would be super sweet!
The marshmallow bit was great! Table looks awesome, good job!
I must say that is so amazing artwork. I’m sure the winner will love this for years and years.
Definitely learned some stuff about epoxy from your channel
Love watching Johnny builds
The color combo you used to make this table looks like a heavenly sky. It turned out beautifully
Totally awesome. That’s a hot build. Looking forward to your next build
Taking a disaster and making it into art is awesome. I love it and it turned out very well.
The countdown was spectacular..👏👏👏
Thanks for the great content as always. More fun because my kids also find it interesting and I can get them to watch with me.
It would have been interesting to dye the epoxy you use to glue the piece with a dark blue... it would say: I did break the thing on purpose.
Great video.
That's hot! I have to agree that the bottom looks as cool (or cooler) than the top!
That turned out to be a really cool color
I would totally set it up with the bottom on top. The cracks really set it off imo. Great job! 👍
Hey, thanks for the reply. Really enjoyed that build. Also liked the gold foil inlay table build. I'm currently on the bed build. All great designs and entertaining as well.
Very cool. The drop recovery was epic!!!!
The color and finished icy look turned out amazing, good choice leaving it
It has that cracked ice look to it. Pretty cool!
Love you experiment and the table came out great.
That's Hot Johnny, love the hello darkness my old friend bit when you dropped it - ouch...
Nice job of taking a “mistake” and turning it into a cool project.
Crazy idea... Intentionally throw one on the ground to shatter it, then expand the mould circle circumference by 1-2", pour a dark color of choice to fill the voids, allow it to cure, then pour topcoat over the whole thing!
Nice video. Nice job recovering the project.
Love the Ice table look good in our RV
I would not have epoxied the pieces back together separately from the second pour. The blue would have filled in the cracks and looked pretty cool. The challenge would have been keeping the pieces from floating though.
That table is amazing. It was broken but now it is whole.
Hey Leatherneck! Enjoy the content and glad to support a fellow Marine, and harrier Marine at that! Tuned in all the way from Edmond
table looks supper good love the arctic ish look
LOL! "We gotta get this outside!" Cut to Mr Cool ad!
Great recovery on the Epoxishap....looking forward to you future builds
I love the absolute chaos of this video
That’s Hot! Should have embedded some marshmallows into the pour.
The bottom looks like clouds! Way cool!!
Good ventilation and/or a respirator are crucial when working with epoxy. Or even a little at a time if you do it often enough. Not just when it gets real hot. It is very toxic so please be careful!
That's hot. I loved the marshmallow scene! Keep making me laugh!!!
Wabi-Sabi perfect imperfection. It's looking cool. I wondered if any light element would make it even more awesome. Great video!
