We have a 5 year old GDS...110 lbs. and when he sees a family member who is away for more than a few days he is so happy he pees all over the floor!!! PURE LOVE!!!
Not sure about that. I have 3 cats and when I go away for a few days, the minute I take out my suitcase, they become stressed and while I am away, my son tells me they are not the same as usual, meowing and looking for me. Cats are not as demonstrative as dogs, but the cuddles and kisses are there. Love comes in many ways !!!!
This shows you why you should always be good to your pets… they really do feel emotional happy and sad… they are innocent and loyal.. they never intentionally do wrong …
I remember coming home on leave from West Germany after 2 years my dog went nuts after he knew it was me. He didn't leave my side for three days. There is no greater love than seeing your dog being happy to see you after two years. Dogs Rule

My mom lost our dog in Bangkok. She was trying to transport him from Laos to the United States, but my dog ran off in the Bangkok airport. I hope we will find him and reunite like the dogs in this video
What a video joy...I am aged 83, widowed now for nearly 5 years with my beloved golden retriever aged 13 now almost totally deaf but what a joy she brings me. We go for a pre breakfast walk each morning and chat to various neighbours setting off for work and then another walk each afternoon to the dog run where my Holly can meet all her friends off the lead and I can chat to all the other dog owners. My last friend died almost 4 years ago. I’m not allowed a companion where I live alone. As I watch this show, I just discovered myself rubbing, and gently scratching the soft arm of my chair! I watched a very active reunion and my arms were rubbing and patting to go to town. How I miss having a companion. I’m disabled and a proud Elder @ 70, how I would love to have a cuddly friend….. I would wake happily every day!
I had to part with my best friend as i moved to an elderly community not allowed to keep pets which i find very frustrating but it could not be helped i miss her so much i cry every time I watched the reunion of dogs and the people who are their favourite friends i need a good cry now and then!!!

Thank you fo sharing, dogs always make me smile!!! Whenever I left the house my BabyGirl wouldn't do anything but watch the front door until I got home. As soon as I walked in she would start barkyodeling at me until I picked her up and my Bernie Bear, like the dog at 9:07 would jump right up into my arms. I miss them so much but I'm grateful for the 18 years of joy they each brought me.
They never ask why. They only need to be w/you, never asking for more than the unconditional love they give to you. Always go with them on the difficult journeys. Just be with them whenever possible.
My parents' dog, Riley, did this every time I visited. I thought he was going to have an accident! Alas, the old fella died today, almost 16 years old. I'll miss him, but I'll always have the memory of these greetings.

Those of us that have cats in the house understand. My daughter's cat hides most of the day until it's time for my daughter to come home. When she comes out and sits on the stairwell I know my daughter will be pulling into the driveway at any minute. My sincere condolences for the lost of a family member.

Dogs have good memories. I remember staying, for two weeks, with a family who had a dog. He was gorgeous. However, I had to go home eventually and did not see him again for two years. I was walking down the avenue towards his house, where he was playing out the front with the little boy of the house. He suddenly looked up and seemed to recognise me from a very long way off, and charged up the avenue to me. He was jumping around and was just the same daft, playful dog he was a couple of years before. I could hardly believe his memory was that good.
I remember my parents taking me to some relatives house when I was very young and they had a dog. I played with the dog the entire time I was there and when we went back to visit them again 6-12 months later the dog remembered me.
I'm surprized that none of those dogs sprained their tail wagging it with so much happiness, and none of them peed a little from the excitement. I also love to hear them "uwu" their love, and at times it even sounds like they are crying with joy to be reunited with their loved ones. Thanks for the fond memories of my canines' unconditional love (3 German Shepperd's that overlapped in a 25 years period). I do miss them dearly.
my mates dog called Milo, sometimes he has wee a little bit cos hes been that happy to see me, like i love him the world, i cant describe the love i have for him, i tell him that everytime as well, i will always remember this, so i was giving him a bit of chicken from my hand and he was just licking it, he didnt take it from me and i wondered why, and my mate told me it was cos he doesnt want to bite my finger by accident, well i nearly cried lol, like dogs give us so much love and joy and everything and all they want in return is a loving home and the fact some people abuse dogs totally baffles me, like how could you abuse an animal that will be so happy to see you when you have left the house for 5 mins haha
My girl does this even if I just walk to the mailbox and she can see me the whole time. But no matter how long I’m gone she’s all over me when I come back. Love, love this.

That is so true TAS. Nothing like coming home after a terrible day and have them jumping on you, licking your face, just being playful. All the frustrations of the day just go away at that point. I miss my 2 best friends terribly. This is so heartwarming..
