    ¿Funciona esto para una billetera de papel y convertirla en una ''billetera de metal''?

    How do I know it's Titanium? If I purchased it thinking it was Titanium but it was Aluminium it could melt in a fire

    Why’s there 24 slots when there’s only 12 seed phrases? Am I misunderstanding something?

      Some hardware wallets use 24 BIP39 words to generate your private keys.

    Since the punch should be hardened, its best to use a bronze or brass face hammer. That way no steel splinters will fly into your face.

    • @soumalyasinha8093

      Just tape the hammer's striking surface thick with PVC tape and remove when done.

    Why would you input the numbers and not the words? You save a SLIGHT amount of money, but now you need to make sure you have a reference to the numbers and words, and go through that painstaking extra step when you are under duress trying to recover your seed.

      Buy a punch set with letters...and shit, the amazon linking includes a purchase option with a-z punches.

      I think engrave numbers gives extra protection. If someone finds the card it will take some extra time to discover what they mean and to link them to the BIP 39 list (it won't make difference if the person who found it is already in the crypto universe). That extra time can be enough to the owner of the account move all the crypto to another address... (it's wise to keep the list away from the plate!)

    • @Cirkustanz
      @Cirkustanz Před 3 lety +6

      @@IgorTFerreira What you fail to understand is if someone has your plate...you've already failed. You're just planning for failure.
      And then there's also the possibility of increased difficulty with reading the numbers. Seedphrases are WORDS, and not numbers, for a reason. If your punch or engrave (engrave is really inferior to a punch) is not perfect or is partially damaged somehow...with a word, you have a much better chance of being able to read it.
      AU?T??? for example, can only be one word.
      D?I?V??, etc.
      But what are you going to be able to do if your plate gets damaged somehow with entries of 1?2?, 20??, ??48
      With numbers, if a number is damaged or not punched/engraved correctly, you're going to be spending all day trying to guess what it is. Which is REALLY problematic if you use a passphrase...and you should be using a passphrase!
