    The law is grace and God's grace is the measure of the law. Therefore to measure up to God's gift of law we must be in God's grace, the Messiah. His life in us atones for the inadequacy of our life apart from him.

    God bless you....am soon publishing a book on Law and Grace. It's time the Church obey God. We are saved by grace, and so as saved people, we dont sin (meaning we dont transgress the law). The misinteprtated "we are not under the law" has been stretched to the level that it has been asigned a new meaning - of lawlessness.

    Thanks for this, though I had a fair understanding of grace I find it hard to explain it (this video gave further clarity) and why we are not under the law, which means not justified by our works of obeying the law, which no one can do without Christ or being redeemed by it and only being justified through Christ...Christ fulfilled the law and through him we are made new and also equipped to also obey his commandments if we love him (John 14:15)...
    Warnings should we fall away from grace
    Hebrews 6:5-6
    4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, 5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
    6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.
    Hebrews 10:26
    If we deliberately go on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no further sacrifice for sins remains,
    Hebrews 10:29
    How much more severely do you think one deserves to be punished who has trampled on the Son of God, profaned the blood of the covenant that sanctified him, and insulted the Spirit of grace?
    2 Peter 2:21
    It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness than to have known it and then to turn away from the holy commandment passed on to them.
    1 John 3:8- He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil...hence, if cause we think we have grace and no longer under the law does not mean we can willy nilly break Gods commandments as this can cause us to fall away from grace and become of the devil again...it is by Gods grace and his spirit (holy spirit) that we received due to Christ that enables us to become a new creature...The spirit convicts us and we find ourselves changing and thus complying with God's commandments.
    John 15 states that Jesus is the vine and we are the branches and if we abide with him he shall abide with us...thus we are strengthened and he equips us with what we need in order to obey him and also the law of which we cannot do without him, his grace and what he has done...
    Matthew 19:26 Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible...People do not take grace for granted and we must remain steadfast abiding in God/Christ Jesus to endure and hold fast to the faith!!!...and this message is so much for me as it is anyone else

    Do we have the capability to sin under grace? Yes. (This is why John says 1 John 2 IF we sin we have an advocate with the Father Jesus Christ the righteous). Grace has covered everything.

    The Mosaic Law was _never_ intended to be an instrument of salvation. It was a shadow of the coming Messiah. The Hebrews never thought that they would earn salvation by compliance with the Law. People have _always_ been justified by faith first; obedience to the Law came after justification. When Paul wrote about the intersection between Law and grace, which was being subverted by the Judaizers, who were teaching that a believer must have faith in Christ _and_ obey the Law in order to be saved, he was warning against both works-based righteousness and legalistic observance of the Law. Salvation has _always_ come from faith through grace through Christ. The Law is simply a vehicle of _blessings_ when it is submitted to with a heartfelt obedience.

    9 out of ten times the words "law" and "works of the law" refers to animal sacrificing and or the service in the tabernacle and temple. Try it for yourself, read Scripture with that understanding. Grace = one Lamb for all, no more animal sacrifices needed. We are not under the Law (of animal sacrificing) but under Grace (the blood of Christ) . Why is it so simple to me? And why is it so enigmatic for many?

      Preachers and churchgoers suck up the antinomian heresy because they are moral, mental ,spiritual BIPOLARS with a ROM 8:7 character.. The goal is ROM 8:4. Those modern Pharisees described by Peter in 2 PET 3:16 are deceived agents of SATAN who bash the LAW as much as they can . Most churchgoers do not know the proper concept of grace, gospel, saved. CRIME & CLERGY CONNECTION= TRICKLE DOWN IMMORALITY.

    So are we free to go murder, steal bcuz grace abides? We are not meant to obey the law bcuz we are looking for salvation from it but bcuz we love the one who loved us first, n bcuz he gave us the spirit to guide us in his foot steps, n one thing is the law was there in Genesis remember God telling Cain sin is crotching at your door? And sin is the breaking of the law, Christ came to save us from sin ( Breaking the law)

    Ephesians 2:8-9 (KJV) -
    8 For by GRACE are YE SAVED THROUGH FAITH (in Christ Jesus); and that NOT OF YOURSELVES: it is the GIFT OF GOD:
    9 NOT OF WORKS, lest any man should boast.
    - I'm sorry, but you just put this person struggling with legalism back under the law of good works. You need to read the entire Gospel of John because you just contradicted the entire book. It is written to unbelievers specifically, and NO OTHER BOOK in the New Testament is, and is for the purpose of evangelization alone. Over 99 times the Holy Spirit holds out the word BELIEVE (Sola Fide - FAITH ALONE). John 3:16, John 3:36, John 5:24, John 6:47, and on and on and on and on. The purpose statement of John's Gospel is specifically stated here and scripture does not contradict never mind with a whole book:
    John 20:30-31 (KJV) -
    30 And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book:
    31 But these are written, that ye might BELIEVE that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that BELIEVING ye might have life through his name.

      On top of that, you cite the reading of John to understand evangelism, but what does the first verse of John say? "IN THE BEGINNING..." What does the beginning say? Shouldn't we spend a great deal understanding the beginning in order to understand John's position?

    • @48lilyofthevalley

      Joshua Amaya, The Mosaic Laws are salvation by works. That is what the majority of churches are preaching today. Doing good works to be saved is the same teaching as the laws of Moses. That is legalism. They were saved by faith alone in God alone in the OT. Today we are saved by faith alone in Jesus alone for everlasting life. 1 John 5:13 - 'These things have I written unto you that BELIEVE ON THE NAME OF THE SON OF GOD; that ye may KNOW YOU HAVE ETERNAL LIFE, and that ye may BELIEVE ON THE NAME OF THE SON OF GOD.' Grace and works are mutually exclusive for salvation. Salvation is a FREE GIFT and only requires that we BELIEVE in Jesus the Christ the son of God. Thank-you and God bless.

    • @joshamaya196
      @joshamaya196 Před 5 lety +2

      @@48lilyofthevalley no ma'am they were not. They never taught this, and no one was ever saved by keeping the law of the Lord. Paul himself says that if righteous was by the law, then no one was saved, because ALL have sinned. It was always by faith just as Abraham was saved. It's always been this way, and will be. Consider the author of Genesis, where we find the example of Abraham, who was it? None other than MOSES. It stands to reason that this same lesson of justification by faith was taught to the children of Israel.

    • @joshamaya196
      @joshamaya196 Před 5 lety

      It also doesn't matter what the churches are preaching. The Bible itself says nothing of salvation by the works for the law. That's not the purpose of the law, and the law itself states this.
