Between all the Willy and Patty buzz, let’s take a moment to appreciate Rodrigo. He not only scored & assisted, but he looked hungry the entire time he was on the pitch…and actually did something other than just wait for the ball to be passed to him, pressed and passed well.
Jessse has a lot of shortcomings but give him credit, he’s gotten the best out of Rodrigo, he’s been a totally different player the last few months.
He become a beast under JM.

That’s the only thing that gets me about bamford. Once they’re 3 nil up and the pressure is off, he turns into a sniper. But when it’s 0-0 he becomes bottle united.
Gnonto is amazing and what a top quality finishes by Paddy in both of his goals. On the other hand I'm sick of all the haters...this time against Luke Ayling because of his mistake on Cardiff first goal when we all know he's not a centre back. It is the same people who forget in this same game Luke Ayling assisted Paddy in the 4th goal and Luke Ayling recovered the ball and started the attacking which led into the 5th goal. MOT.
Yeah in general the nonstop negativity from fans is disappointing. It hurts the team, and you can argue actually effects the results sometimes. The players feel it and it can make them tight in some matches.
Good comment mate some people forget an ounce of praise is worth a ton of criticism. Always seems unfair to slag off someone in print for the world to see.

We seemed to be defending differently in a 442 with Willy and Rodrigo pressuring up top and then moving when we got the ball, seemed more solid than 4 or 5 people pressing constantly, hopefully Wober is okay he seemed to marshalling the defence

I went to the F.A. Cup match against Cardiff and the team played pretty well, Gnonto, Bamford, Harrison and Rodrigo stole the show sadly Firpo, Ayling and Llorente made some poor passes and tacles but all-in-all it was a good result which lifted the crowd.
Hopefully Leeds can move forward now and get a couple of wins against Brentford, Boreham Wood or Accrigton Stanley (FA Cup Fourth Round) Nottingham Forest, Man Utd, Everton, Southampton, and Chelsea with some good play and good luck we should pick up enough points to keep Leeds safe.
If this doesn't happen then Leeds Utd are in deep trouble, we will not need "senior players" to say anything at Thorpe Arch 36,000 fans will do that job at Elland Road.
Ironically the Chelsea match is on the 4th of March 2023 and Jesse's first match at Leeds was against Leicester City on the 5th of March 2022.
That's 1 Year and 1 Day, that's enough time to get it right or then it's time for Jesse to go....
Hopefully the american will be history by then.

Going forward we look absolutely awesome, we have some real talent up front that will cause any team problems but at the back, Jeez man at the back. We're awful under Jesse marsch, Seriously, everytime a ball goes near our defence it's panic, no one seems to know how to clear the bloody thing, just be simple, be straight forward and clear the ball, how hard is that to do for a professional defender?
Almost as good as Tim Cahill's World Cup goal.

Wilfred Gnonto though, last minute panic buy for just under £3m because the player we thought we'd signed at the last minute changed his mind....I remember the last time we bought a player for peanuts at the 11th hour, a player that wasn't meant to be anything special....Turns out he was Lucas Radebe, good company to be in lad.
Wasn't a panic buy, he just signed early. He was coming in the Summer window, though Marsch did say he "wasn't ready" from the Premier League, haha.

@@ronniethomas8780 But we scored a LOT more goals under Bielsa, we were pressure pressure pressure all the time, it only went tits up because we had the entire first team out injured and Radz and Orta didn't sign any players in January. He was having to try and work the same magic with 15 and 16 year olds, it's was doomed to fail.
@@billyrattlesticks6949 if you look at the stats the scoring margins about the same under both managers, so scoring isn't the problem. Bielsa's problem was his man marking system, as opposed to Marschs' system which is zonal marking which has conceded less goals. The problem for both managers is the defenders in the team just aren't good enough, so until that side of the field is fixed it doesnt matter who Leeds bring in to manage the team
