Teachers will come if the behavioral issues would be put under check. No body wants to deal w that.

This news arrives late to the game. Years ago, SPAM emails went out to Houston residents advertising "no experience necessary" teaching positions. There was also a campaign to hire veterans, though I'm not sure if that was in Texas. That was the perfect time to nip this in the bud.
Real, experienced teachers simply cannot afford to work for HISD, and the children suffer.

Fact: uncertified youtube tutors are better teachers than certified teachers. These kids had certified teachers for centuries and only as low as 4% of them in some cases have passed the district exam.

The new superintendent will do what he did in Dallas wreck the system as planned. HISD is the largest district in Texas, force qualified teachers to retire which will free up the monies, lower the morale and make inexperienced administrators the decision makers. Lastly he will probably retire with a large pension.

Did nobody at the station take a second to think about it, like wow. The alternative is larger class sizes or not having teachers at all.

They can barely teach and help 25/30 children in a class room. I don’t think
classes should have anymore students than that in one room. It’s not like
when I went to school 12/15 kids in a class with an aide to help the teacher.
It was Private Catholic School, one of the best education until Highschool.
I didn’t have to study until my Junior year in HS, 9th/10th grades was so easy.

This article is so not fair to teachers who may not have Education degrees. Yes, you can get hired as long as you have a degree and at least one year teaching experience BUT you have to enroll in an Education Preparation Program and take all the state exams. This just allows you to get your foot in the door and be job embedded in lieu of student teaching. There is a shortage of teachers. If this helps teachers who may have started out it other professions, then why tear it down. Do your research first.

Like for real, everyone who graduated from college can teach Reading and Math. Like we all took core math, we all took core reading. If you were a decent student, you can teach at least up to 8th grade. Like stop playing. You don’t have to study education, in fact, you are better if you don’t.

So, maybe having teachers with real work experience gained in the real world isn't bad. Conventional academia is failing, students are graduating with nothing more than a sense of entitlement, and things are getting worse. Traditional teachers are hung up in a make-believe world of academic constructs. Traditional teachers are obsessed with student sexuality. Having a normal person who has real-world work experience is a good thing.
