- KILLER ONE POCKET - In 2016, Efren “The Magician” Reyes, 61, was up against the much younger Danny “The Shredder” Smith who was just 29 years old. Smith had been making a name for himself in the one-pocket discipline in tournaments as well as action matches. He just snapped off a pro event at the Louisiana Pro Killer One Pocket Championships. Reyes, of course, had a boatload of major titles, and his favorite game was killer one pocket. Enjoy the match at the 2016 Make-It-Happen One-Pocket Invitational.

I love one pocket. If you play a lot of one pocket it helps so much in every other game you play. It helped me learn patience in other games when playing against a slow shooter.

i know diliberto from miami, and i racked in straight pool matches against him. Nice to be 10 feet away from the wizard as he worked the table. DO danny and billy have an agreement to consistently disagree to promote some drama here?
I'd prefer the pool/crowd noise w/o the commentary. Over analysis takes away from the game.

Skinny Bob's is about to rap up some great OnePocket. That Josh Roberts is not just a great shot maker, his moving and cue control is really become elite.
It would be a refreshing change to see him on the U.S. MC team.
Table Josh used to play on back in Columbia at Raxx was brutal... I hit a few one day but 3 5/8ths was a tad snug for me 🥴

@@chriscripplercruz1833 Josh and I were going to match up with some OnePocket in Vegas but timing was off he had to go play in the Ten Ball event. Yes he is very good.

I like that cue of Danny's. They kind of turned the points around and did some pretty complex inlays in between. Very pretty.
"Bite your tongue, it's a Diamond, they don't roll off". You guys slay me on at least one each time, and it's usually Danny (nice one). If the ball manufacturer is the sponsor (now or ever) you can't point that way, either. Let's go with a fleck of chalk on the table, maybe? I've seen and had that happen several times, and chalk breaks under certain conditions, just a characteristic of the material itself, that way nobody loses. :-)
43:30 with old eyes and that level of risk, amazing, a lot more amazing when you consider he still pulls of that crap pretty often. THAT was a cut shot, under that pressure especially. The fist pump later was great, I expect he was thinking that he flat out earned that one...what a grinder.

I think besides bustamante Danny has the best long stroke meaning the distance between his bridge and the cue ball
I don’t believe in “jumped up” thing, he already hit the ball when he jumped up, nothing to do with the shot.
a young gun's impatience has no room in one=pocket. and neither is killer one pocket - a variant that really is a huge disrespect to the game. whoever invented it should realize it by now.
